Our History:
I got interested in construction when I was a young real estate broker and lender, all my best clients were home developers. I worked hand in hand with them so that I could learn the business of construction first hand and see what it took to make a truly beautiful home.
A few short years later I rallied a small group of investors and we began flipping houses of our own. It was a new experience working on my own project. I certainly understand what it’s like to try and keep a project under budget and running on time from the owner’s perspective.
Now, three years later, I am a general contractor running jobs for clients with an eye for avoiding costly mistakes, and delivering a quality project that I can be proud of. My knowledge of several different real estate fronts helps my clients make the most informed decision possible.
We have excellent resources to help you with your project from start to finish. From architects to structural engineers, to the very best craftsmen in Southern California, Revere Construction Company looks forward to proving you with a surprisingly wonderful experience.
Please note: The projects we take on need to be a minimum of $25,000 as we carry liability and workers compensation insurance and are not set up for smaller projects.

1. i'm sorry you felt i was playing a game of bait and switch. nothing could be further from my intent. Our first two meetings were regarding the expansion of your home as detailed on the proposed plan provided by your architect. I met with your wife and you via skype late at night to try and accommodate both your busy schedules. meeting 1 was very preliminary. Meeting 2 was good and i got a better sense of your materials and the work that would be needed to install them. By meeting 3 however you made it clear to me that you had ideas of work to be done to the home that was not detailed on the plan, for example redoing the stucco not just on the small rear of the home but on the two long sides of the home and the front as well. There were other things that you wanted done to the house as well including an entirely new roof , not just a new roof over the addition. of course these items made a significant difference in price. Perhaps you made these desires more clear to the other contractors you were interviewing earlier on but for me this was new work.
A true bait and switch contractor is one who tells you one price , gets you to sign a contract, and then comes up with a bunch of change orders that they charge for later on that really should have been in the original contract. Certainly that's not what i was doing by being upfront with you about the jump in price. I'm sorry that you felt this was some sort of scheme on my part. And really , how good of a scheme could it be for a contractor to not only not get the business by spiking the price last minute but also anger a customer who would so easily see through such a ploy?
2. I wish i did not have to leave mid way through the back house project. My mother was just diagnosed with a potentially deadly illness that would require her to be in a hospital quite regularly just at the same time that the Covid-19 virus was set to make hospitals potentially the most dangerous place to be during the pandemic and thus compounding the danger my mother was facing. It was not an “excuse” that made it necessary for me to leave the job. I simply was not in a state to handle your job with the care it needed. I would much rather a healthy mother than an “excuse” to leave your job. I did see ,however, that my leaving would be most disruptive to you so I gave you the entire remainder, not just a portion of unused funds. I did not make a dollar of profit on the job, even on the portions of plumbing etc. that i had finished to your satisfaction. The reason the unused funds were not enough to cover the rest of the job was because i was doing the back house portion of the job for you at cost, or actually a small loss as you discovered when it was not enough to pay for the remaining work. This was in part , but not wholly , because when i gave you a choice of four shingle colors for your new roof on your back house, you instead came up with a fifth option i did not offer you which cost more. I decided to eat that additional cost and paint the metal dormer vents at no additional cost. So to reiterate, i made no money, even lost money in this case, because i knew and felt badly, that despite my own personal matters, your project was coming to a halt midway.
Because of the severity of the personal matter i did not have much time to communicate. I trust you understand.
3. You made it clear from the outset that we should strive to keep a tight budget. Your backhouse / garage is quite old and the walls and especially rafters were not straight and level. Because of this the drywall inside the garage, which gets nailed to the rafters, was not always level. To make the drywall straight would have required replacing all the old rafters and sections of masonry block which would be overly costly and quickly send the budget soaring.
Regarding the sub-contractor who you spoke to about this, he is not an employee of my company and thus i can not be responsible for his words. Im sorry he said that to you though.
4. This window purchase was done after i had left the job for my personal reasons. I am not sure which window measurement you are referring to and additionally we discussed enlarging some of the windows and needing to narrow others. Im not sure which iteration of the windows measurements you had. Im sorry to hear about the window order.
