Heather was a pleasure to work with out of the gate. I had a custom order with unique requests including color of leather for which she reached out to suppliers and came back with several options. She was sure to include me on other decisions like the nail heads and tuft buttons. The workmanship and quality of materials is very good. This piece will last as our main living room ottoman. As always, it's hard to get true ideas of real color and complete look until you get the final product and though it was slightly different color than I thought, probably because of my older phone, we have fallen in love with the finished product. I also have had fun tying in accent pieces. Not a five star because of the time it took but granted it was custom and most of the extra time had to do with my remote location and delivery. The communication with delivery company was not good, I had to follow up with them twice to find out if I was scheduled yet.

Hi Kami,

Thank you for your review. I understand your frustration with the length of time for delivery; I wish it was faster as well. In the past I shipped my designs via standard LTL Freight companies and had several reasons for changing my shipping method. I found that great amounts of time were required to package each item and custom boxes had to be made to fit the large sizes of my furniture...especially a large and heavy ottoman like your order. When items are shipped LTL freight they are shipped with many other random items, so on a few occasions my pieces were damaged in transport and I had to remake the entire order. Nothing would be worse than to wait for your custom piece only to have it damaged in transport. In the past, upon delivery to your home it was only curbside delivery, sometimes to your front porch. You the client would then be responsible to bring it into your home, unpacking it and then disposing of the large amount of packaging I used to try and protect each order from damage. In addition, shipping times were in reality only about a week to a week and a half shorter than my current white glove delivery service.

So I decided blanket wrapped, white glove delivery service, while longer transport times, provided safety for my designs, increased customer service because the furniture is delivered into your home and placed where you want it. With no packaging materials left behind. The dispatch calls 48 hours before delivery to arrange the specific date and time range on that designated day. I understand you wanted an exact delivery time, but that is not possible. The white glove delivery service delivers to many locations at a time and exact delivery time depends on traffic, especially in metropolitan areas.

I had seen several chairs of Heather's and loved them: both quality and color combination were great. I had two chairs made although I had no idea what I wanted in colors, etc.. Heather came to my home and then went back to her studio and put together a color board and I absolutely loved the choices! The chairs arrived, which she handled while I was out of town and upon my return was utterly impressed. My husband, who does not like to spend $$ on furniture was so impressed he asked her to make a sofa for us as well! Heather is extremely responsive, truly gifted at her color and fabric choices, and very professional to work with! I have recommended her several times without hesitation!

I ordered a custom chair from Renewal Home Decor for my birthday. Heather showed me many options for the frame. She found fabric swatches that fit the look I wanted. I also wanted a specific fabric from a certain company, and she secured it for the chair. Heather was very professional and has a great eye for design. I ordered two chairs from Heather about 2 months apart. They look great, I'm very pleased with them... She was very good at making sure what I wanted was what I got. I get compliments on them all the time. They are sturdy and well made. I will be ordering from her again. I would recommend her to anyone looking for something with more "wow" than you can get just anywhere.

Heather does AMAZING work. She made us a custom upholstered ottoman, and it looks great. I sent her pics of our living room and she found fabric that would compliment the rest of our furniture. She also found a vintage grain sack specifically for us (we had seen an ottoman upholstered with a vintage grain sack and stupidly didn't buy it, so she helped us recreate it - and hers was even better than the one we initially found!). She was also generally lovely to work with, and was very responsive to our questions and requests. I highly recommend using her if you want a unique custom piece of furniture that you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else.
