St Heliers Landscape Co

Hi all, Just wanted to highlight to you all the experience no one else would want to experience when contracting a landscaper. We hired St Heliers Landscape Co to level out our small lawn, remove palm trees and re-lawn just before Christmas 2016. The job went from bad to worse over two weeks (a job we were told wouldn't take much more than a day). Firstly the digger broke down on our lawn due to the driver not being overly confident on the machine. Secondly and much worse - while operating the repaired digger the driver swung the digger bucket into our house smashing and completely damaging a window and frame which in turn had to be fully removed, boarded up and supplied with a new window and aluminium frame. This then meant we needed a builder, glazier, plasterer and painter. Not a small repair job at all. Thirdly, the job wasn't completely finished with some concreting not completed. However we got to the point that all we wanted was our lawn completed and for the landscaper to not come on to our property again. Given the damage this job turned out to be an insurance claim. Our trust and ignorance meant that [manager] and his trading company did not hold any insurance. This meant that we had to go through our insurance company and he is now saying he doesn't know what happened and who made the damage to our house, even though he has admitted liability to us. I was at home when this all happened. He has completely lied about the situation. Please, please don't be like us and hire this company to do anything. It has cost us the most stress and worry over the christmas and holiday time. We have certainly learnt a lot and will never hire a company like this.
