This is truly an outstanding Company. Very professional, everything has to be completed perfectly, great to work with and my remodeling was completed on time. I had the pleasure to work with Mary O'Fallon. She has a great talent in helping select all of the many items when you completely remodel. With her help my condo is an awarding project. All of the skilled workers were the very best.

I highly recommend the Reed Team and would, without hesitation, use them in the future for our next projects. The Reed Team is a pleasure to work with. From the owners, to the designer/program manager and the contractors, everyone is incredibly professional. They are focused on customer needs and strive for high quality results. Our project stayed on-plan, on-budget and on-time; even with a few minor owner-driven tweaks that we inserted along the way. There were no surprises and the job was professionally managed by the designer/program manager who ensured all went off without a hitch. I couldn't be more pleased with the stress-free experience, especially with us not being able to be in-town during most of the remodel. Our remodel had a unique challenge of a tiny galley kitchen, boxed off dining room, no laundry and a lanai. The designer created a beautiful solution with a large rustic beach kitchen, sizable open-concept dining room, a separate laundry space and, most importantly, a space where we now thoroughly enjoying spending time, relaxing, cooking and entertaining with friends and family. The design advice was the first step in the success of the project, which was then followed with exceptional attention to details as the contractors executed to the design plan. I'm sure you'll love the design and building experience which Reed delivers.

We haredthem because other friends had used them and been satisfied. We left them over the summer to do all the work and, for the most part, it was done. They were very clean and did everything we asked. If something was wrong, they corrected it quickly. They were slower about finishing than they promised.

Using Reed Design Build for our condo renovation was a great desicion. They were extremely professional and what ever I asked them to do they never said it was not possible. Their work was impeccable and they were very neat and clean. The condo association was very pleased also. Would definitely recommend their work.

Reed replaced two low level vanities with 36" high vanltles, topped one with quartz and the other with granite. The new vanities were uniquely designed for the man or woman who was the principal user. Instead of recessed basins, surface vessels selected by each principal user were installed. Maximum usable storage space was achieved. All work was absolutely first class.

We have worked with Reed on several bathroom projects over the years and we have nothing but good things to say about them. Kayleigh and Ryan have great knowledge, energy and passion and we enjoy working with them. 5 Star Company!

I put seven (7) design build firms through a rigorous screening process, refusing to pay them for presenting designs during the initial process - why would I pay them for their work in marketing their business to me? The firms that objected dropped out. Reed not only met the challenge, they were the only firm to spend significant time measuring the spaces in my home before presenting their ideas for my consideration. They are low-key in their approach. They didn't leave the same kind of positive initial impression that others left - they started out at the bottom of my list, but over time they proved themselves to be more invested in achieving my objectives than the other firms. So don't be fooled by their under-stated approach - it's just their way of not over-promising and their way of gathering the facts before making any presentations. Ultimately, they presented a proposal that resonated with us - they had listened to our feedback through a couple of iterations, and they did not complain about not having been paid ahead of time for the design work even though they knew that they were at risk of not being paid for that work if we didn't hire them. They presented a fixed price contract for the project. Their pricing was appropriate given the pricing being presented by their competitors. They did not present the lowest bid, but the lowest bids were suspicious as being unrealistic. And their bid was reasonable compared to some high bids that were also unrealistic. We did hire them and we had no reservations about paying them for that design work. They brought their team to the site immediately and work progressed diligently. There were the usual bumps in the road, but Reed Design addressed all of them with equanimity. They are incredibly professional both in the way they conduct themselves and in the quality of their work. We can provide our unqualified endorsement of Reed Design Build - they are consummate professionals and you will be in good hands if you choose them for your project.

I did major work in my condominium including removing a wall between the kitchen and living room. Lindsey was there through the entire process. I have a degree in design but can not imagine doing this work without her. She put the concept together, supplied drawings, worked with me throughout the selection process and held my hand when unexpected problems came up. I'd like to say there were no problems but in a job of this size there are bound to be unforeseen problems. She listens to what you have to say and incorporates your desires into the plan. Her ideas are terrific. The job is just being finished now so I do not have photos but will shortly.

We worked with Lyndsey Davis Nicklas last year to remodel our kitchen and she made the whole process fun and painless. We do not get an abundance of natural light in that room and our goal was to brighten it up and make it a bit more contemporary. Lyndsey gave us great ideas and thought "out of the box" on ways to add interest while staying within our budget. By painting our existing cabinets instead of replacing them we saved a bundle which opened $$ for other extras. We are so pleased and proud of the way it turned out and several of our neighbors have jumped on the bandwagon. This past fall we decided to do a second project with Lyndsey, to redo our living/family room area, taking out a whole wall of the original built-in cabinetry. Her proposal was sheer genius and the lighted onyx cabinet tops and wall shelves that we put in gave us the WOW factor we were looking for. I have and will recommend Lyndsey to anyone looking to remodel, she has a great eye, gets to know and understand her customer, and is a pleasure to work with.

Lyndsey is a great designer to work with. She listens to what you want to accomplish and the price range you want to stay in. Then she gathers up samples of ideas and works with you . I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Have worked with Lindsey for about 4 months - She is wonderful, follows up on all the details (more than I can keep in mind). Lindsey works for a wonderful company which follows through on everything. We haven't lost one day of remodeling time - they set a schedule and keep to it - often have two, three or more workers at the condo at one time....And, all are professional. Would use this company whenever we need work, and recommend them very highly....excellent taste, and everything you would want in a designer and firm.... We feel so pleased, and so lucky to have worked with them.

Reed Design Build is a full service company whose attention to detail assures a successful remodeling project. Lyndsey Davis is the consummate professional designer. We met with Lyndsey and, using a collaborative approach, worked through multiple design options together. She remained with us from conception to realization. Our total kitchen remodel was a big undertaking that involved gutting the entire kitchen, removing a wall, adding an arch to match the other visible arches in the area.....all while keeping the same footprint in order to save the flooring. The project was completed on time and on budget. Needless to say, we are very pleased with the results and would recommend Lyndsey and Reed Design/Build without hesitation or reservation.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Dec. 2013 We hired the company for a very substantial project that included remodeling of 2 bathrooms (ADA standard compliant), kitchen, powder room. The design was implemented to our specifications by Ms. Nichole Claprood, the specialist interior designer fully dedicated within the company for these purposes. Her solutions for our relatively complicated customization were nothing short of superb. The design was elegant, perfectly fitting the "spirit and the letter" of the layout and detailing we decided on. The project was far from "standard", with numerous variations and adaptations to satisfy our own needs. They have all been planned and executed minutiously. The project was fully executed by the Reed personnel. The quality of the material, the workmanship, the detailing of the project were beyond reproach. The company did an excellent job in obtaining all the permits, maintaining contact with the management of the high rise condominium (as well as complying fully with their rules). At the end of the work the apartment was impeccably clean. The cost of the project was high, not unexpectedly for its complexity and not outside the range we anticipated. From two bids obtained, it was the somewhat lower one but our hiring the company was not due to the bid, but rather to the solutions proposed for our needs. There were no costs overruns. The time to completion was slightly later than originally planned. To a large extent this was due though to causes beyond company control, related to other work affecting the access to the building. Ms. Claprood and the company representatives, including Mr. Reed - the owner - maintained constant contact and informed us on all aspects of the work. Ms. Claprood and Reed Design Build gained both our trust and our full admiration for their professionalism and absolute satisfaction as company clients. We warmly recommend them to other potential clients or collaborators. In similar circumstances we would gladly re-hire them for such a complex project. A&C Vermont ADDENDUM, 4/5/2014: This part of the review may be even more relevant than the original one: the designer and overseer of the project, Ms. Nichole Claprood, remains in touch with us as clients and followed up twice in the 4 month lapsed since the project completion. She and the company was clearly interested in how our initial level of satisfaction held up in time. In fact - it did ! The workmanship proved so far impeccable, few minor adjustments (hinges, handles, etc.) were addressed promptly, no retouches or re-dos were necessary because of the superior quality of the initial design and execution. We continue to be, and very likely will remain, very happy clients !
