Sure Foot Builders did an absolutely incredible job building our home! Throughout the process, the whole team was super responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to keep us within budget and finished the home sooner than expected even after running into some permitting road blocks with our soil. The commitment of the Sure Foot team to our project was astounding. We couldn't have been happier to have built with Sure Foot and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great home builder in the Asheville area.

I bought a house that was built by Raymond and his team three years ago. It has been a pleasure to live in a home built with so much care. Both the overall construction and the interior details are of very high quality. The home is extremely efficient and the very few months I get a note from Duke Energy saying the I have used less energy than anyone in my area. I always keep the temperature exactly as I prefer it. Raymond has responded in a timely fashion to fix any problems and there has been very few issues. He has also answered any questions I have had over the years. He is always helpful and pleasant to work with. It has been an absolute pleasure to live in such a high quality green home. I would definitely recommend using Sure Foot Builders for your next project. You will be happy with your choice.

We hired Raymond and his team to turn our big rec room over the garage into our master bedroom. To do this they added a large closet, and a beautiful full bathroom. (The photos of the project are titled Clearview Residence under Projects.) Raymond was extremely professional throughout the entire process, was very conscious of the budget we had set, and was always ready with an itemized list of expenses to share with us so we were all on the same page. Raymond and his team did beautiful work, and four years later, the bathroom is still my favorite room in the house. Thanks for turning my dream bathroom (and bedroom) into a reality!

In February, 2014, we purchased a new green-built home from Surefoot Builders. Our home is located in North Asheville in the Montford Hills community. It has 4 bedrooms, 3-1/2 bathrooms, and an open concept main floor which houses a spacious living room with a gas burning fireplace, a gourmet kitchen and a guest powder room. It has hardwood floors throughout, neutral paint tones, 2 accents walls in the living room and stunning, adjustable lighting. It also has upper and lower decks off the living room and the master bedroom. It has a parking platform, a beautifully appointed planting wall and shrubbery which accentuate a courtyard that is perfect for outdoor entertaining. It also has central air conditioning and heating. On August 22, 2015 our home was featured in the Asheville Citizen Times as the "green-built" home of the month.

This is a great company run by true professionals. Surefoot Builders built my beautiful home in West Asheville this year and I couldn't be happier with the process and the final product. Throughout the build, Raymond made sure I was happy with all the finishes and recommended beautiful modifications to the original plan-set in order to capitalize on the properties main assets (ie, adding a balcony to the master bedroom to take in the views). Every change was done in a cost-effective way, putting my needs and concerns first. I highly recommend using Surefoot Builders to anyone wanting a beautiful new home at the right price.

We engaged Sure Foot Builders to build our 1,600 sf craftsman style one-story green home in West Asheville in 2012. We were completely satisfied--more than satisfied--with the quality of the workmanship, responsiveness, patience, fairness and creativity of Sure Foot Builders and its owner, Raymond Thompson. Our house was delivered on-time and on-budget. Raymond was hands on all the way and was very helpful when we had decisions to make. Raymond also had several great ideas about design, including an iconic curved wooden roof over our front porch, which gives the house a slightly oriental feel. Over the years, we have had inspectors and crafts people enter the house for various reasons, going into the little seen parts of the house, like the attic and the sealed and conditioned crawl space. They have frequently commented on the high quality of the workmanship. Raymond went above and beyond in several respects for us and continues to be a resource. I cannot express how highly I recommend Sure Foot Builders.

Raymond's crew completely gutted and restored the lower level of our 1955 ranch style home. Now they will start with the upper level. The work has gone well and we are very happy and looking forward to moving into our updated home.
