Our 1910 farmhouse style house had been in need of a paint job since we moved into it in 1997. Parts of it were so bad we were thinking of residing it. When Sam, the manager came to take a look, he said, “you don’t need to reside, the cedar siding is still good, it’s just the paint failing.” He made me feel comfortable that we could do a quality restoration & maintain the historic character of our home, so we hired Phinney Ridge to do the job! The whole project went incredibly smoothly & everyone was so nice to deal with. They had endless patience for my constant asking, “can u sand this better, can you fill in the nail holes on these boards, etc, etc.” (I can be a pain in the butt, because I have a definite vision for the house & everyone listened to my daily requests & happily completed all of them). The carpentry crew, led by Iggy, did very precise repair work, and the painting crew led by Luis E. Was equally meticulous. The finished product turned out way better then I could have imagined & we are thrilled with the job, from start to finish!!!! We HIGHLY recommend them

I really can't say enough good things about the owner, Nik. He has so much passion for his trade, company and employees that it's truly inspiring. I met so many different painting/exterior companies before I met Nik and he completely blew away the competition with his level of knowledge as well as his honesty, integrity and likability. If you're considering painting your house, do yourself a favor and consider this company. I'm a much more informed homeowner and customer having met Nik and his company is the real deal.

Phinney Ridge Painting helped us renew the exterior of our Fremont Craftsman for its next 100 years. It needed carpentry in eaves and trim, new gutters, and careful prep, not just the paint itself. Managing multiple sub-contractors well is one of their strengths. Everyone on the team was great to work with. In a very busy summer, our turn for paint came up in October, and they dodged cold showers to get us done. A crew just came out (in May 2021) to do any touch-ups, and I was impressed with the thoroughness of their inspection, and the little details they attended to. Every time I look at our house in it's fresh new colors, I get a lift.

We had indoor painting and carpentry work done by Phinney Ridge. Every person working at this company from the general manager, the carpentry manager, the carpenters and the painters are all top notch. We've worked with many general contractors and painters and their team is simply the best. No paint got where it shouldn't! The quality of work was exceptional, and every person we met was a genuinely good person. We would recommend them in a heartbeat with no reservations.

Phinney Ridge Painting worked very well with my fluid schedule and other contractors. They did a full interior paint and carpentry work on an older home with a lot of interior details and hardware. The crew was excellent (high quality work) and the communication from the management team was great.

I have used Phinney Ridge Painting for various interior paint jobs over the years. They are local guys, and have always impressed me with their outstanding work. Their front-end customer management is friendly and professional. The painters get the job done with care and efficiency. They do get very busy, so it is wise to book well in advance and check in from time to time.

We highly recommended. We got a quote from Phinney in 2017, it was a lot, the most expensive quote we had. For a year i looked around and saw their work. Anywhere I saw their sign I would inspect and talk to the owners if I could. In 2018, we hired them to paint our 100yr old craftsman that had been neglected. Hands down a great overall experience! I would hire them to do everything if I could. The project manager, Sam was a great communicator and handled the project seamlessly so that I didn't need to sweat anything. Their painters (and carpenters) are VERY detailed, and highly skilled. If I had any questions/issues, they would fix or explain the details. They went above-and-beyond on painting my house and rebuilding my porch, it was worth every cent. Looks SO GOOD! I would hire them again for sure.

There was no high pressure to have extensive work done, just an honest evaluation of my options. The work was excellent and accomplished in a short period of time, with several people working at once to speed things along. I had my deck refinished and house lightly scraped touched up where paint was bubbling off. Everyone I talked to was very pleasant and easy to be with and the final amount was very close to the bid (I also added some work).

My husband and I are so glad we chose Phinney Ridge. The communication was excellent throughout the process. My husband had not completed his “honey do” list so thank goodness Phinney Ridge has carpenters available. We started with a color consultant by the wonderful Rebecca West who suggested an accent color we would never had thought of. It’s no wonder the BBB rates them A+. Nick and Sam came by to check the work and make sure it was up to their standard. We highly recommend them.

The most recent job (I was a repeat customer) was completed on time, the price was reasonable, the quality of work was excellent, and the men who did it were very professional and a pleasure to work with. I see no reason to consider any other contractors when I need painting again.

Phinney Ridge did a great job of painting our house. In the process, they found and repaired an area around a window that had leaked and caused the wood to rot. They also worked with us to correct an area where the drainage from the roof was being directed into the wood, rather than into a gutter. Everyone from Phinney Ridge was pleasant, easy to deal with, and responsive.

Phinney Ridge just finished complete exterior paint job on my house. They hung in there through the worst October rainfall on record. They did a beautiful job and their crew, to a person, was prompt, professional, respectful of my property and great to work with. I recommend them whole heartedly and would definitely use them again.

My husband and I hired Phinney Ridge Painting (PRP) Company in June to paint our house. Having spoken with their references we knew that they would do an above average job and that they guaranteed their work. What we did not know is how amazing they would be in responding to the crisis we faced when, while painting, they discovered major structural damage involving a thirty foot wide wood beam that held up an outdoor deck over an interior portion of our home. Upon learning of the damage, PRP immediately put us in touch with contractors who specialized in this type of work. PRP has developed strong working relationships with many of these contractors over the years so the contractors had an incentive to work with PRP customers. Harjo Construction did all of the construction and structural work. The structural work was major and involved the logistics of moving an 800 pound steel beam through a very tight space which eventually replaced the rotted wood beam. Because everything was connected, the entire deck had to be replaced and that work spanned a four month time period. Phinney Ridge Painting and Harjo Construction were exceptional in their communication skills, creativity, flexibility in responding to ever changing conditions, and dedication to a quality of work that is outstanding. We would add that Harjo Construction agreed to take on this difficult project even though they already had a full summer workload with their existing projects. We are so pleased with Phinney Ridge Painting and Harjo Construction that we plan to use them for all of our upcoming projects. We recommend them unconditionally.

When we decided to have our house repainted we knew it would be a big deal. The house was built in 1921 and the original paint was lead based and badly peeling. We contacted four companies for estimates and consultations, only three replied. We chose Phinney Ridge Painting LLC (they were the middle of the bidding range) because Nik (the owner and estimator) spent time to describe to us how the work would be done and why the lead paint had to be completely stripped from the house. Along with having the house painted, we were also having our old rotted deck replaced and four windows replaced too. This created a scheduling issue for getting all the work done during the three months of summer and into early autumn. Phinney Ridge Painting [PRP] worked very well in conjunction with our other contractor to complete the work in the timeframe we had allotted. The crews from PRP who did the stripping, priming and painting always arrived early and worked all day. When we greeted them at the house we were always told that we should announce if we had any issues, concerns or questions about the work being done. At the end of each day the crew cleaned up the areas around the house and folded up their drop-cloths. All the work was done to our satisfaction and the house looks wonderful now. We recommend that you consider PRP for your exterior painting needs rather than choosing a lower bidder.

We have used Phinney Ridge Painting for many remodel and addition projects. They have great communication with the home owner and the business owner. PRP does a really great job with lead paint containment. Their attention to detail on preparation for old siding is really thorough. And the go the extra mile with touch-ups afterwards to make the client happy.

As an interior designer I provide interior and exterior color consultations for my clients and regularly refer painters on projects. When Nik, Sam, and the team at Phinney Ridge Painting get the job I find that the client is always 100% happy and well taken care of (and as a result I've continued to regularly refer them for the last four or five years). Nik takes a lot of pride in not only providing a good paint job, but a good overall experience, and that means providing extra services so that the job can be done more efficiently and warranting his work for years after the job is done. He won't tell a customer what color to pick (yea!) but he will guide them on what will wear the longest so that they are able to spend their money wisely. PRP is outstanding!

My neighbors & I live in a townhouse complex in Fremont and hired Phinney Ridge Painting to paint all the trim, pressure wash our complex and reseal all the balcony floors. Nic came out and was very helpful looking over the whole job clarifying all issues, etc., before sending us the bid. Sam saw the job through. We hired Sam and his crew to paint the walls, trim, baseboards, ceilings, and doors in the main living areas of our home. They did a fantastic job! We were impressed by their attention to detail, work ethic, and skill. The three man crew worked diligently to repair plaster cracks, prep damaged areas, and paint with expertise. They cleaned up very thoroughly at the end of each day which is critical when you have little kids. I'd recommend them without hesitation.

I hired Phinney Ridge Painting LLC to install crown molding and paint my entry (18' tall) and the downstairs and upstairs halls. Nik Palladino promptly responded to my request for estimate email and scheduled a home visit. Received an estimate promptly and scheduled the work. Sam installed all the crown molding and 3 painters hand sanded all the base molding and prepped the walls and door surround surfaces. Then painted the ceiling, molding and walls. It looks amazing. I am very happy with the result. Also, I have hired Phinney Ridge Painting to install my Christmas lights and they have done a really good job. I receive many complements on the exterior holiday lighting.

We hired Phinney Ridge Painting to repaint the ceilings throughout the first floor of our house. Sam provided a thorough estimate, comparable to another bid. He was willing to work with us a little on the price as we could be flexible with timing. Ultimately, once we agreed to work together, the team was able to start quickly. A two man team showed up with Sam the day of. We reconfirmed details and the team got to work. They repaired several cracks in the ceiling, matching the texture so well I cannot see where the cracks had been. They were thorough, polite and kept the work area contained and clean. We are very happy with the end result.
