At Pristine Decks & Design our goal isn’t to build “just a deck”, but rather to transform backyards and extend living space to the outside. 30 years of construction experience and nearly 10 years of researching and designing outdoor projects allows us to offer a different standard. Even though the deck and landscape can account for 15 – 20% of a home’s value, all too often outdoor design is ignored by traditional construction. Deck projects installed with design elements that integrate home and landscape greatly benefit customers long term in both investment and happiness. A deck addition, sunroom and screened porch, time after time prove to be the most enjoyable of home improvements and provide great value in both home equity and home resale. In fact, customers are often surprised to learn that deck additions installed with a little imagination frequently outperform siding, windows and kitchen and bathroom remodels in return on investment. We first contacted Pristine Decks last summer to redo our deck, and we’re very pleased with the portfolio we viewed and the digital rendering of our project. Half a year later, we’ve received nothing but excuses, delays, and avoidance in return for our down payment of half the costs amounting to tens of thousands of dollars. Andy has avoided calls repeatedly and had excuses and offers to move the project back and delay it the few times we did make contact, only to yet again refuse to call or answer our calls after supposedly getting in touch with his contractor again. We had our old spa removed shortly before they were scheduled to begin work the first time, and as a result have spent months with a dangerous drop and completely unusable deck that we’ve struggled to keep our toddler son away from wanting to explore while Andy has put us off time and again.

We hired Pristine to design and build a new deck in September 2017 based on good reviews and an impressive design and presentation from Andy. The work was started but never completed, and we cannot get ahold of them. We have already paid them for materials and most of the labor. They do not respond to emails, texts or phone calls.

Project was supposed to begin in June, but not started until September. We’ve had so many issues with this company including dishonesty about several things. Has taken our money and basically had abandoned the job. No one has returned calls, texts or emails for a month now. Job remains unfinished with money and materials owed to us.

We happened to find Pristine Deck by accident and did some research online and loved the examples of their work. We had Andy out to put together the quote and the entire process was very customer focused and the layout and design were first rate. The project itself took about 6 weeks and Jim the site Manager and the crew were as professional as you could hope to have working at your home. Completely happy with the work and the results. The deck is simply perfect and we cannot say enough good things about our experience with Andy and his team. The quality and craftsmanship are exactly what we had hoped to get and we have not been disappointed. The fit and finish are first class and not what you get from your typical deck company.

My wife and I spent a lot of time looking into which builder to go with to replace the deck on our home, we met with two different builders before we met with Pristine.. we knew we wanted more out of our deck, but finding a builder that could make our deck a living space was proving to be pretty difficult... The first couple builders were nice, friendly, etc., but basically they just handed us a brochure from the manufacturer and asked us to trust that the project would turn out nicely...(we almost gave up) Then we got lucky and found Pristine. PRISTINE is in a different league! We met with them to discuss what we were looking for, and scheduled a time to meet again to review some options. We were blown away when they were able to take our ideas and build a virtual presentation for us to work with... using OUR house in the virtual design... colors... layout... furniture positioning, it was incredible!!! It made it so easy to have a design we wanted, that we could actually see. Between that and the portfolio of work they have, everything was downhill from there. Thank you Andy, we love the deck, and you were absolutely right, the built in lighting is incredible!! Finally, my personal favorite part, while they were hands down the most professional of those we met with, they were not the most expensive. We got to see exactly what to expect, our input was used to build a design we love, we got exactly what we wanted, and we know we got a great deal on it as well.

Andy and the guys redesigned and built our deck. The design process was a little challenging, but Andy explained everything in great detail what was to be expected. Then when the guys showed up, they we very careful with our property, always kept a clean job site, and had a great attention to detail. This deck is simply beautiful. With the inlay and spline, along with the glass handrail and lights, its has definitely increased our property value.

Pristine did an excellent job on our deck project. State of the art software allowed us to visualize and design the project, and then it turned out just the way we wanted it. They were professional, and very detail oriented, so our new deck is not only beautiful, it should last a very long time. I highly recommend their service.

Working with Pristine decks was a great experience. They worked with us very extensively, so that we could get exactly what we wanted. We were given updates throughout the entire project so that there were no surprises. The greatest thing about Pristine is not only the quality of work, but the cost. I saw photos of the work they do, and thought no way can I afford a deck like that. After all was said and done, Pristine came in substantially lower than the other quotes. Great company. If you choose them you will not be disappointed.

Complete deck removal and rebuild. We interviewed others but knew immediately Pristine was the company we needed to go with. They have a great crew and have built our deck as if it would be their own. Very fussy with detail and it shows!! Our job is almost complete and we are going to have many, many years of enjoyment out of it!! Thanks Andy for all the time and effort Pristine has put into the new 'extension' of our house.
