Having tickets for the Homebuilding & Renovating Show in 2017 gave us the opportunity to visit the Advice Centre and have a chat with an expert, in our case an Architect, Peter Lancaric of PlanStudio. Peter was generous with his time/ideas and knowledge, the following year we engaged him to create our vision. We took time to ensure the new renovation/extension plan and restoration detail met the brief. Having been through a period of Covid/shortage of building materials and available builders with the relevant experience, work finally got under way in May 2021 and we are happy to say work completed October this year. Working with Peter has been the most positive experience, his attention to detail, product knowledge and sound advice before and during the build has been invaluable. We now have the most beautiful contemporary living space that blends well with the existing period house.

We can't recommend PLANSTUDIO highly enough. We have had a fantastic experience working with Peter; not only is his design stunning and we are absolutely thrilled with the complete transformation of our three-storey dark and dingy home into a light and airy thing of beauty, but his communication has always been exceptionally clear and thoughtful and his dedication to every aspect of the project has been impeccable. We also feel lucky to have had access to the trusted contractors Peter recommended; we never expected such a stress-free experience! The interior design and project management services were also indispensable to us and have both contributed to a really smooth-running project, and an incredible home we will always feel proud of!

We have had a great experience working with Peter and Philip and they have transformed our dark and confused house into a beautiful light filled home. Their ideas pushed us to see our home's real potential, and brought things to the table that we would never have thought of - we love our new sedum roof and pergola! Peter was easy to communicate with throughout the process, and we (two novices) felt at ease despite this being a project of proportions that we had never undertaken before. Peter offers a varied service post the design stage, and we were glad to have had his knowledge and skills on board to project manage to completion, offering a wealth of suppliers along the way from the builder, the beautiful flooring, kitchen and glazing to name but a few. From the first consultation I felt like Peter understood what we needed, he was honest with us about what was or was not feasible, and came up with ideas and solutions far surpassing our expectations. Planstudio were broadly comparable on price and services to their competitors but with far superior ideas and insight. Peter has great ideas but without any sense of ego; always looking for what would suit us and always listening for that half-thought that would lead to improving and refining the design. A very positive experience and I would definitely seek to work with them again if the opportunity arose.

We hired Planstudio to help us with a 3 level extension of a our mid-terrace Victorian house. They were absolutely outstanding and I can't recommend highly enough - in fact they are now undertaking a similar project for my sister-in-law based on our recommendation. They were involved through every stage of our project, from the initial designs through to technical drawings, planning application, tender for the builder and throughout the construction phase. We consider ourselves so lucky to have found architect Peter. It can be very daunting undertaking a project of this nature and it's a steep learning curve but Peter was so helpful at guiding us through. We would have been lost without him. He really listened to our needs for the design and was very patient with helping us to iterate to get it just right. No question was too stupid! He helped us find the right builder and was always available with advice and tips. Particularly through the construction stage, Peter was invaluable. He provided so much support and was integral to checking the work of the builders and insisting that they met his high standards. His enthusiasm for the project and positive attitude helped us through tough spots that inevitably any build project will face. We're so grateful and pleased with our new home. Planstudio are a rare find. 100% recommend!

We used peter as both the architect and contract manager for our project, and he helped make the entire process as painless as possible while also delivering an end result that was fantastic. Overall we had a complete reconfiguration of our house including side return and loft conversion.

Highly recommended! Planstudio were a delight to work with. Peter's approach is very client focussed and we felt that we were totally involved from design to implementation. He project managed our build, which reassured us that we were not being taken for a ride by building contractors. I am sure that he saved us more money than his project management fee! We were given Peter's information as a recommendation from a friend. He came round and put us at ease straight away, he had great ideas and pushed us to think beyond what we thought was possible. We worked together really well and the end result is amazing, we couldn't be happier.

after finding out that we were expecting twins, we hired planstudio to design a kitchen extension and reconfigure our downstairs to accommodate a toilet and utility room. Peter was excellent to work with. He not only designed a wonderful extension, but helped us manage all aspects of planning (e.g. planning applications, finding a builder, project management etc) through an incredibly stressful time of our lives. After the twins arrived and the build finally got underway, Peter was regularly on site and played a large part in keeping the builders to time and budget. when we did encounter issues, he used his initiative and knowledge of what we wanted to fix things quickly and without changing the look and feel of the original plans. He really went above and beyond what that we expected from our architect and we would not hesitate in using him again or in recommending him.

We consider ourselves to have been incredibly lucky to have found Peter. We interviewed 3 architects in relation to our project and Peter was the only one who had creative and compelling ideas for how to deal with the layout issues that we were trying to solve. As well as employing Peter for the architectural design work, we also engaged him to find the required contractors, provide interior design advice, sourcing furniture and project management. The money spent to keep Peter involved for the entirety of our project was definitely money well spent. He was hugely supportive and responsive throughout, including through some issues with the main contractor. Peter was consistently generous with his advice which was particularly helpful in helping us to understand how we should allocate our budget. Thanks to Peter's attention to detail, we are delighted with the end result and particularly with the high quality finish that has been created.
