Baky and his crew built a 500sqft rooftop deck on my west town house and they did a fantastic job with everything. From the initial planning conversations, and his responsiveness to communications and coordination of the project start, to the speed and efficiency of the teams who installed the pergola, joists, deck, outlets/lights, and steel railings, they exceeded my expectations iat every turn. It only took them a week from the signing of the contract to complete the entire project. I'm very happy with the experience and would recommend them to anyone looking to work with Baky and his team. Wish I could say we had as good of an experience as others. Once we got close to a final design, we were sent a $24k invoice with a due date for deposit on that day. We still had some design elements that hadn't been finalized, and wanted to wait to hear back on those. But by the next day our project was cancelled through an email from Sharon (in New York??) saying "unfortunately Baky was not flexible on his "first come, first serve policy". He finalized 2 pending projects this morning, we are now fully committed. I'm really sorry we won't be able to assist you with your project this season". We never heard from anyone that our project could have been cancelled within a day, never new about a "first come first serve policy", we had the week before offered to give Baky a check as a down payment which he said he didn't need. Now we're back at square one. Terribly poor customer experience, no managing of expectations, the cancellation was through email, with no communication to date from Baky.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Baky and the team at Pitch Concepts. From day one Baky was professional, courteous, helpful and without a doubt honest. He listened to what I wanted, helped me figure out ways around issues and most importantly didn’t try to rip me of along the way. What he quoted is what I paid. These guys were quick, efficient and reliable and Baky went out of his way to make sure the job was perfect and I was happy. Just take a look at the before and after pics, and this was all done in a week. Save time looking, I have done several of these projects across various houses and there is ABSOLUTELY NOBODY better for your outdoor needs. I already have him looking into another project for me.

Baky and his team are seriously the best. While that may seem hyperbolic, it’s actually a gross understatement. Building out our roof was the first large contracted job my husband and I undertook and, appropriately, we had no idea what we were doing. While had a general idea of what we wanted (daybeds, a TV, some green eggs, planters), we had no idea how to put it all together to make a cohesive and usable space. Baky was able to listen to what we wanted and within no more than three iterations draft up our dream roof. Baky was very communicative throughout the build out (to the point where my husband noted that I spoke to Baky more than him and my parents combined). He was also very detail oriented and focused on the quality of the product. This translated into Baky voicing concerns about, and subsequently replacing, a good portion of our roof. Replacing our roof obviously elongated the project and likely consumed any availability Baky and his team had but knowing the buildout was done on a sound structure was of paramount concern. There were so many times during the buildout where I pivoted my thinking and Baky would accommodate the changes without the least bit of hesitation. He’s likely created a monster for any future contractor we work with, but his flexibility relieved me of many sleepless nights. We couldn’t recommend Baky more and have already told him he’ll be among the first people we contact when we buy our next place.

Bakary Soumare and his team are total pros from concept to completion. I will never again work anyone else for my outdoor living space! He has a natural feel for creating a space that is beautiful AND liveable, with a creative flare.

Pitch Concepts has been a gift to work with. From the moment we met Baky Soumare, we knew he was special as he walked through our home, met our twins and shared his initial design thoughts. Baky asked questions on how we envisioned 3 outdoor spaces including 2 car garage deck, internal courtyard, trex deck for 2 balconies, and replaced entire house roof. We weren’t planning on new decks until next summer and after talking to Baky and seeing his graphic renderings, we decided to do the internal courtyard, balconies and garage deck. He curated top of the line products at an incredible value including Sun Louvre aluminum retractable pergola, Dekton stone for the fire pit,Trex decking and stylish modern chairs and table. Baky was always present throughout the process. He was transparent with all aspects of the project. We encountered water penetration from an unprecedented storm soon after the project started. Baky provided support, guidance and a solid plan to seal the decks and replace the house roof. We are beyond thrilled with our deck. It truly is a work of art and a year round extension of our home. The pergola protects from wind, water and snow. Our teens love the smokeless fire pit. Baky’s team was professional, respectful, and did incredible work from demolition to rebuild. We were impressed with clean work areas even during demolition. Baky’s right hand guy, Branli, was amazing to work with too. He was always smiling and tirelessly working next to teams of guys. Their long-term work relationship is a strong testament to this solid team. Our friends, family and other contractors have complimented Baky’s work. We highly recommend Pitch Concepts for their unique design and partnership. They have worked magic on our dream home. We are excited to work with Baky on the house roof next year.

I recently had Pitch Concepts install a my new roof deck after my roof was replaced. I had some ideas on what I was looking for design-wise and had conducted my own research on decking materials, but I was looking for a company who could provide additional ideas. After meeting with Baky, he provided fantastic design ideas to maximize my roof space, how to hide unsightly roof vents, as well as a multitude of deck and pergola material options. Baky and crew turned our garage roof membrane into the ultimate urban oasis! We interviewed multiple rooftop speciality contractors that we found on Houzz, and Baky really stood out among the crowd. He was sensitive to our budget, extremely responsive to our (endless) questions and uniquely creative! With a few speed bumps on our end - specifically when we found out we couldn't use composite deck which was planned for the base and built-in seating, Baky was able to rapidly adjust, source new porcelain pavers and recreate a design that helped us stay within our max budget. He truly went above and beyond like this MULTIPLE times during our project. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Pitch and the finished results speak for themselves.
