Having never built a custom home from scratch, I was nervous about the process and all of the decisions we had to make. As our designer, Mary Petron, guided us through it all, from choices of tile, counters, cabinetry, paint colors, carpeting, window treatments, etc- she helped coordinate everything and we are extremely happy with the outcome. My experience with Petron Design was one that makes me smile when I think about it. Mary Petron and her team took our abstract ideas and redesigned our home into a warm, inviting home with uniques spaces. The result was a sophisticated design that far exceeded our expectations. She is extremely knowledge of balance and symmetry and added just the right touches to our spaces that created better function and style. I would highly recommend her and her team for your next job. Mary Petron was an invaluable assist as we transitioned from a "Georgian Colonial" home in the North to this retirement property in Florida. Her extensive knowledge of design coupled with considerable creativity-was remarkable. Mary proposed new and unique ways to use our existing furnishings and antiques in varied locations through out the house. her contributions were very cost-saving for us! Further, she secured other highly skilled professionals to work as needed( upholstery craftsmen and mirror/artwork mounting crews etc.). Mary designed the interior of our entire home from top to bottom. We couldn't have asked for a better professional. She was always available and helped us make choices that we were thrilled with. I have worked with Mary at Petron Design for 10 years. She has worked with me on two major projects. One in 2000 was a renovation of an older home and currently I am building a new home. HOME RENOVATION Major upgrade of living space. Livingroom wall was out of balance. Designed and supervised the construction of a new wall to make it appear that the wall was in balance. ( I wish I had a picture of the before and after because it was dramatic.) Designed and supervised bathroom renovations including adding a bath to a secondary room making a two bedroom home have three bedrooms. Supervised the renovation of the kitchen. Also did color outs of the whole house. I still have the furniture from that project and will use most of it in my new home. NEW HOME CONSTURCTION Helped design living space in planning stage. Supervised the placement of lighting and electric. Designing and will have consructed built-ins through out the house. Advise on design, color and placement of furniture. It is hard to detail all that Mary does for me. She has great design insight, color and balance assessment. She is easy to work with and is always open to working with my ideas. I have used her multiple times because I can trust that my project will turn out the way I have envisioned. Petron Design gets the job done with good people.

Great work. Work involved a dining room accent wall with mirrors and light sconces and a custom window treatment over 2 sets of french doors in the living room. Also some other design touches. All the work was done tailored the design to all requirements. Very professional team. Estimates were timely and accurate. No surprises.

Mary Petron was hired to customize many parts of the house being built for us in Florida including kitchen, bathrooms, summer kitchen, ceiling beams, fireplace, lighting and other details and finishes. When the house was done, Mary helped us arrange and display our diverse art collection and furniture totally understanding the "ethnic contemporary" look we wanted. Mary has an excellent overall design sense along with a great sense of color, texture and light and her little sketches are very detailed and excellent for visualizing what the final results will look like.
