Rachel created me a really gorgeous lampshade using old sheet music. She sent me sample photos so I could choose suitable songs. My lamp looks fabulous. Rachel comes highly recommended. It was a real pleasure working with her, she is extremely responsive, polite and helpful. Her shades are real works of art, which I coveted for at least 2 years before I finally took the plunge, and it was so worth it! She sent the items all the way to Greece, at the other end of the world and they arrived unscathed, perfectly packaged with the greatest of care.

Loved working with Rachel!! Her work is beautiful and so unique! At all steps along the process she was in communication (we are in Brisbane and she in Melbourne). She had very good tips for things like how to estimate the proper size pendant for our room - and they worked!!! The shade was shipped with no problems! I love how she padded out the package with old sewing patterns....these are the little things that make Patturn a one-off place to have your pendant light made! We get SO MANY compliments on this pendant light. The rest of the room will be furnished around the shade.

I ordered a lamp from Patturn Studio for my Mother's Christmas Present. I chose circa 1920's music sheets of songs that were meaningful to her to be the lamp shade. The service I was provided was fantastic, very prompt, helpful, descriptive and kind. This resulted in a beautiful, quality-made, personal present for my Mum which she absolutely loved and looks fantastic in her house! I was so happy with the service and the product that I told my friend, she saw the lamp I had purchased and immediately ordered one for her mother-in-law, who equally loved her gift. I've sung the Skye Boat Song to my son at bedtime since he was a baby. And on his 10th birthday, I commissioned Rachel to make a bespoke bedside lamp for him using the score. It is beautiful; I am sure it will be a part of his life for many years ahead.

We asked Rachel from Patturn studio to create some large pendant light shades from 'Melways' maps for our inner city cafe. We had a great experience from the beginning with Rachel providing ideas and advice for the most effective way to complete the project within budget and with maximum impact. We've had lots of great comments on the lights, with people trying to locate their own part of Melbourne on the maps and many tourists have stopped to photograph them. Our architect recommended Patturn Studios for our custom made lamp/light shades. Rachel designed us the perfect bespoke oversized lamp shade and bedroom pendant shade which cast off a beautiful warm light because of the aged sewing patterns they are made from. The shades always get comments from visitors and we love the backstory - the patterns we chose were similar to those my Mum used to make clothes for me. Rachel was a pleasure to work with and it really felt like a joint project - she provided excellent guidance and design vision and would not rest until both she and I were 100% happy with the result. All goods were provided on time and prices were very competitive for products that stand out among the rest.

I have worked with Patturn on design commissions after seeing their work on an online blog. We had our house plans made into a gift for clients as a thank-you on completion of their house build. It is such an individual customised gift, and one that supports local design. The service from Patturn was fantastic, with great communication regarding preliminary designs and concepts, and the finished product is amazing. The clients love them, and us for providing them.
