Patrick Murphy Landscape Design

We recently worked with Patrick on redesigning our landscaping for our new house. We initially went with the in house designer of a local landscaping company and we really felt like they missed the mark in terms of what we wanted. I then contacted Patrick who met with us and listened to my vision for the yard and how I thought we would spend time in it. He put together a thoughtful plan, taking into consideration the design of our house, my inspiration and also incorporated some of our original plants. He also gave us the option to install in phases. We chose Wheats at Patrick's suggestion to implement the plan and we could not be happier with the results. Patrick was hands on during the installation period making sure the landscape was executed according to plan. The quality of plants were top notch and the end result really nailed our vision. Patrick was easy to work with, incredibly knowledgeable, listened what we wanted and made thoughtful suggestions that made the difference in our landscaping. We get a lot of foot traffic on our block and neighbors consistently stop me to tell me how great our landscaping looks. My only regret was that we did not hire him earlier. We highly recommend Patrick and are happy to refer him whenever we can.

We recently worked with Patrick to design our front and backyard. We have a small yard and wanted to make it more functional and update the design to match the contemporary aesthetic of our home. We are happy with the contemporary design he came up with and appreciate his willingness to adjust it to stay within our budget.

Patrick was recommended to us by our neighbor, and we have been very happy with his work during all phases of our landscaping project. Patrick provided us a detailed plan for landscaping the front and rear areas of our property, including installing several underground drainage systems. Patrick listened to our goals and came up with a lot of ideas that we never would have thought of, making good use of the plants we already had and adding quite a bit more. He oversaw the installation, which went smoothly, and returned this spring to make sure all the plants survived the winter. We couldn't be happier with the process and thought the cost was quite reasonable. We have recommended Patrick to our friends and will go with him again for future projects that we are considering.

Patrick designed a beautiful landscape plan for us including front wall, steps and patio. The entire look of our home has changed. Patrick was very easy to work and based on our vague description of what we wanted was able to create a plan that was exactly what we had in mind. We highly recommend him.

Patrick is great. He held our hands throughout the entire process. He started by meeting with us and then preparing a detailed drawing based on our conversations. Patrick did a fantastic job. His design captured all the elements we were looking for and made our backyard patio space so much more useable. Patrick Murphy has just completed a complete backyard renovation, hardscape and plants, for us and it is spectacular. My wife and I hired Patrick Murphy Landscape Design to help us with the design of a patio and landscaping project on a new house build. Patrick came up with a beautiful design for a patio and full landscaping plantings out back, as well as full landscaping plantings for the front yard. Landscape design included lighting and detailed plant selections. He also gave examples and suggestions for a new fence surrounding the property. The lot is not large, but challenging given the situation and size of the house. Patrick was able to nicely draw off existing details of the lot and driveway and incorporate similar lines and curves in to the project design which look fantastic. Although we hired Patrick only for the design portion of our project, he has been willing and able to meet with our installers to help guide the project along; keeping the install consistent with the design vision in a flexible and adaptable manner. Patrick has a great eye and is able to convey design concepts in an understandable way to both the client and the installers. It was nice to be able to utilize him as an independent sounding board when discussing potential physical install issues with the installers. Patrick brings a high degree of professionalism to the job, while also being easy and fun to work with. We recommend Patrick with no hesitation to anyone looking for landscape design as well as planting and install expertise.

We hired Patrick to complete a full landscape re-design of our property. He exceeded our expectations in just about every way possible. He was extremely easy to work with, listened carefully to what we wanted, and was very flexible with his schedule, even meeting with us on weekends to review designs and discuss next steps. What was most impressive was the completed design. Patrick was extremely thorough, and every little detail is well thought out, including drainage and each specific plant and location he chose.
