I only take time to write reviews when service is really good or really bad. Unfortunately this is for the latter. I hired Overhaul for a relatively small job that consisted of installation of new countertops, sink & faucet. My wife and I chose the quartz we wanted for the countertop and told Jacob we wanted a matte finish. A few weeks later the installers showed up with the countertops and they were high gloss. They said no problem, we can remove the finish. A few days later they came back and installed. What we couldn’t see, until after they were installed, were swirl marks from whatever tool they used to remove the finish. It appeared as if someone had taken an orbital sander and simply sanded the gloss finish off, unevenly. After many complaints the installers finally came back to remove the countertops and “correct the problem”. We lived without a kitchen for a few more days. The countertops were reinstalled only to find a slightly improved version. There are still swirl marks but now not as obvious. After this there were a few more smaller issues. One of the workers ruined our kitchen curtains with caulk. He then used masking tape all over our Spanish tile floor and when the tape was pulled up it removed the top coat of sealant. At one point I actually walked in on a guy watching a YouTube video of how to hang our new garbage disposal. The grout lines cracked almost immediately. They were redone and have since cracked again. Every morning when I walk in my kitchen and see our countertops I regret hiring Overhaul. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.

After interviewing so many contractors we decided to go with Mike and Overhaul. Mike spent so much time with us explaining each step to expect and bringing in his resources to draw out and design our new kitchen. He had so many wonderful ideas and knew exactly how we wanted everything to look and he and his team did a wonderful job. We were super impressed by his "guys" that came daily and how hard they worked and how clean they were. Being that this was done over the holidays we really felt like they were part of our family. Although it took a little longer than expected it was mostly because of our city's inspectors and the holiday closures. We are so happy with our new kitchen.

I can't say enough good things about Overhaul Remodeling, their amazing staff and the contractors who work with them. First of all the cabinets were an excellent price. Mike designed my cabinets and managed to figure out just what I wanted. His attention to detail and pride in the workmanship was really reassuring to me. He patiently answered a million questions. They installed the cabinets yesterday and they are everything we were hoping for. We are amazed by the quality and design as well as the perfect installation. We are still in the process of completing our remodeling project, but I know that Mike will be in touch to see the finished product. Overhaul Remodeling has made this a great experience.

Overhaul Remodeling is great. We are remodeling our entire kitchen, adding a room additions and a bathroom. So far so good. The project is on schedule and Mike is Awesome. Mike is professional and his customer service is second to none. He is one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. From the beginning he was very kind, genuine and never pushy. Ultimately we felt Overhaul Remodeling were the perfect match for us and what we wanted to accomplish. At this point it’s not only business but it’s personal because we enjoy working with Mike so much. They went over and beyond to make sure our family is safe and happy with the work that is being done. They did great job for out kitchen, a room and buil luxury bathroom too. We recommend them highly.

Mike recently renovated our kitchen and we were so happy with their ideas, personalized approach and professionalism that we then had them recreate our outdoor pool, entertainment area. What we loved about working with Mike and the crew was, nothing we asked was too much trouble and when I changed the plan a little, again no problem. This just made our whole experience stress free. The service from start to finish was fantastic leading to a beautiful result. We will definitely have them back for our next project. Thank you Overhaul Remodeling.

As someone who has owned a few homes and has had many experiences with contractors, I can unequivocally say that Mike from Overhaul Remodeling were far and away the most professional, involved, and pleasant contractors I have ever worked with. We used Overhaul Remodeling for a complete remodel of 2 bathroom and 2 kitchen. Mike was responsive throughout the entire project. He operated with integrity, was always available to answer questions, handled everything that needed to be done with permits, inspectors, etc., and was always interested in doing the work in the best way possible. While he won't be the cheapest contractor you could rustle up via the internet, you ultimately get what you pay for - and what you get with Mike is absolutely top-notch work. We will be using him again for any remodeling project. highly recommend.

Overhaul Remodeling replaced our old, antiquated garage with a new ADU. The project was very personal to us. We wanted to build a home that we would be comfortable downsizing to, a home that our children could move back to, and ultimately a home that would offer options for us and others in the future. Overhaul Remodeling staff was excellent and one of the stand out experiences was that Mike really listened, kept us up to date daily, and managed every aspect of a pretty complex process. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the work they've done for us!

Overhaul Remodeling has just completed construction of a 320 sf ADU in our backyard. We could not be happier. We have done several construction projects, but none were as smooth as this one. Other projects often felt like a tug-of-war; this one was a calm collaboration. This sense of calm was the direct result of working with people who know what they're doing, and who treat their customers with great respect. During the design and construction process, all of our phone calls and emails were responded to immediately. Mike was the Project Manager. Even though we were building a "tiny house", we were treated as if we were building a mansion. We asked for a lot in our very small ADU: a bedroom, living area, kitchen and bathroom. We got all of it, and everyone who has seen it has been amazed by the quality and the design. Mike has assembled a capable, respectful and talented team. It was truly a pleasure working with every member of Overhaul Remodeling and we highly recommend them.

The purpose of this review is not to hurt Overhaul Renovation’s reputation, but to assist other consumers and make sure that no one else has to endure the pain, frustration, and poor workmanship we experienced as well as witnessed over a 21 week period. My family and I hired Overhaul Remodeling to do the remodeling of our home. We contracted to have work done in our kitchen, bathroom, and living room. We were told by Jacob and Mike, who never shared that he was the owner, that the project would be 4 weeks. This has been one of the most difficult events in our life: to lose partial access to our home for 21 weeks, to text and sometime not get a response from Friday to Monday or receive a text late Sunday night regarding the next day’s start time, to feel as though our home is not respected as it is dirtied and neglected by workers who sometime did not wear masks and who parked on our lawn, to be misled and told falsities during steps of the process, to have our backyard become their trash pile for over a month--ignoring our requests and hauling the debris pile away only after the La Palma City Inspector told them that it was unacceptable--, to have no one to turn to in order to remedy the situation, because the boss of the company is the individual causing all of this and his perceptible incompetence and tangible lack of empathy shows in everything he does. We hope that this honest summary of our experience helps you and your family make an informed decision.

We used Mike for a kitchen remodel. We had two challenging constraints: one) we weren't in Buena Park during the project so we had to manage it from a far and two) we had a tight timeframe to complete the project before we moved in. Mike was our project manager and he did an excellent job assisting us through the process. The final result is fantastic and Mike has continued to do everything he can to make sure we are happy with our kitchen. I should mention that he didn't flinch when we asked about including some additional work. The team was all excellent from tile to cabinets to flooring to counters to windows. I'm glad we were able to meet some of them when we moved down since they further reinforced the quality of what we were getting through their workmanship and attitudes. Thanks crew.

After reviewing a number of remodeling companies I settled on Overhaul Remodeling to build our new kitchen. As with all of these decisions, I was initially a bit nervous, as this is an investment, but that anxiety was quickly put to rest from the beginning of my engagement. Mike was my project manager and he was always available to pick up my call any time I was worried about this or that -- exactly what's you need when your kitchen is being gutted. Also, it's nice to work with a local business that's been around Buena Park for so long. Love my new cabinets, marble countertops and overall new kitchen...I feel like I'm in a brand new house :) Thanks, Overhaul Remodeling.

Overhaul Remodeling and Mike's team recently remodeled my kitchen and bathroom. It was my first big remodel project, and I could not be happier with the experience and results. I loved how easy it was to pick materials and finalize the design with Mike, our Project Manager. I also appreciated how detailed the bid and the contract were. The work on the house went very smoothly and ended exactly when it was supposed to without any surprise or high added costs. I was provided a day-to-day schedule so I always knew what work was going to be done. Mike was also super responsive and great about addressing any issues that arose. If something wasn't perfect, He would make sure that it got fixed. Mike, Overhaul Remodeling's craftsmen, did excellent work and was very polite; I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for any remodeling service.
