Outerspace Landscapes carried out several complex building elements over many months in my steep tiered coastal garden in Clevedon over 18 months. They surpassed my expectations with their dedication to both the design and the installation in what is physically an extremely challenging garden to work in. Terrey provided a complete set of detailed design drawings for the courtyard completely transforming the space with Corten steel planters , a water feature, a small deck including a dedicated waterproof narrow planter with horsetail ferns. Phase 2 was the steep tiered garden. Terrey also provided a a very carefully considered detailed set of planting plans for the 350Sqm of borders that needed sourcing and planting. Conrad and the installation team worked tirelessly over several months installing oak sleeper retaining walls, and the planting of more than 2000 plants , all of which had to be carried up more than 100 steps into the garden. Overloaded with garden projects waiting to be designed post lockdown, we are delighted we did wait for Terrey and Conrad to be able to do our garden. Our ideas had changed somewhat over the 2 years, and they couldn't have been more accommodating. We were keen to change the 1970s garden which had different levels, a lot of heavy shrubbery, paved throughout and no flowers. The transformation into something with a strong structure, yet softer, with more light, a small lawn and a place to grow herbs is developing into a wonderful space to garden and sit in. We were really impressed by how tidy they were at the end of each day, how unforeseen challenges were met without drama and with total professionalism. Their brief was to produce the garden design, and while Terrey has given us ideas for planting, we are working (still) on the our final choice of plants. The whole team worked incredibly hard, and were a pleasure to have around. Dare I say we missed them when they had finished? No hesitation in recommending them, they are worth the wait!

We have had the pleasure of working with Terrey and Conrad over the last two and a half years, firstly on our back garden and currently our front garden which is now close to being finished with just the planting to go. From the very first chat with Terrey after finding Outerspace online during lockdown I knew we could work together. Terrey suggested a visit to view our garden and was very interested to find out how we used our garden and what was important to us. A suggested design for the garden soon followed, Terrey was very keen for our thoughts and took on board practicalities such as low maintenance not just in planting but products to use for the patio etc. Once scheduled into the diary it was all systems go, Conrad and the fantastic team from Outerspace arrived. Over the next five weeks we watched in awe as our back garden became transformed into our haven. Conrad has a such an eye for detail, the finish is quite superb and well thought through. During the work things can and did change, after all we are dealing with Mother Nature. When there was a slight tweak to the plan we were consulted and each time Conrad’s suggestions were discussed and explained. It was a pleasure to have Conrad and his team around, always punctual, always so respectful of our time and our home. We cannot recommend Outerspace highly enough, from the design to the ground work and finally the planting which is so brilliantly thought through by Terrey. When we bought our house it had a large but odd cup-de-sac of a drive with lots of a mature trees and shrubs and very little usable parking. There was loads of “potential” but I was struggling to see it. I asked neighbour who had a lovely drive and front garden and they recommended Outer Space. Terrey was given a few ideas and an open brief. After the survey she asked to pop round and present an idea she was playing around with - it was perfect. Outerspace Creative Landscaping designed part of our garden into a contemporary seating and planting area. The design process was enjoyable and informative. Terrey came up with innovative solutions to make the most of the available space and potential sunshine. She really listened to our ideas and used these to produce a fantastic plan which fitted our brief, but more importantly she used her professional expertise to show us how we could make better use of the space and flow of the area. Conrad and the landscaping team were absolutely first class with the quality of their work. We are absolutely delighted with our finished garden which is beyond our expectations!

Terrey, Conrad and the Outerspace team have just completed a total transformation of our front garden. It had a long drive, large rectangular area of grass and various flower beds all of which looked extremely sad and uninspiring. Terrey took the time to carry out several visits to discuss our ideas and give her recommendations which, using her designer’s flair, produced an imaginative plan. Once work started Conrad and his professional, cheery team worked tirelessly, sometimes in awful weather conditions and made sure the access to the house was tidy and safe. Conrad has a great attention to detail and always consulted us should tweaks to the project be needed along the way. One of which was a new water pipe - certainly an unexpected piece of work. We now have a stunning front garden which has a contemporary feel though, with the incorporation of lovely planting, complements our Victorian House perfectly. We are delighted with our new ‘green room’, as a friend described our 40 foot town garden after its update by Outerspace. This started with a beautifully built stone wall to retain a flower bed, and developed into new planting, and upgrading our eating area with a squared arch and lights. Terrey knows her plants and is sensitive to her clients’ wishes, so was able to find a way to incorporate all our thoughts. Even in a relatively small garden she has managed to tie in colours and shapes with requests for year-round interest, scents and slug-resistant plants. The planting team were extremely efficient and considerate and we could not have hoped for a nicer bunch on site. We would definitely recommend Outerspace, in fact, we have already done so to several friends.

The process of design has been fantastic to help us understand and visualise the garden we want. This is the first time we have used a garden designer and Terrey has guided us through all the stages, answering our questions and ensuring we were informed and consulted at every stage. The technical drawings and revision process really helped and the final design is something we are really excited to put in place.

One of our new year resolutions for 2019 was to refurbish and extend the patio area of our rear garden. We firstly appointed Terrey from Outerspace to produce a design for this. She worked closely with us over a period of several months, taking our ideas and requirements into account. We knew we wanted a hot tub and specific areas for seating, dining and sun-lounging but needed some inspiration to create a contemporary look. Terrey gave us several innovative and creative ideas which she gladly integrated with our own. She provided us with a vision as well as product samples and examples of similar work to help us visualise the end result. She listened to us carefully throughout the design process and willingly amended the plan several times until we were satisfied with the final version. The final design was professional, clear, accurate and precise. Before proceeding with the construction work we sought three quotations from different landscaping businesses using Terrey’s design. All three companies were very similar in cost but we decided to proceed with Outerspace as we were very impressed with Conrad’s knowledge, expertise and professionalism. We had seen first-hand the results of his work in the local area and were also keen to achieve a seamless integration between the design concept and build. As soon as the work started we knew we had made the right decision. Conrad and his construction team (five in total) were highly professional at all times – always punctual, reliable, considerate, hard-working and good humoured. A tall order considering the weather was atrocious and it seemed to never stop raining! Conrad managed the project extremely well and was always on site with his team to take an operational lead. With meticulous attention to detail he had a passion to get everything just right and to a high standard. He was always approachable, checked in with us regularly and resolved any snags quickly and efficiently. After the work was completed the clean-up operation was as professional and meticulous as the work itself. We are delighted with the end result and highly recommend Outerspace for garden landscaping projects. We look forward to enjoying our newly landscaped garden in the sunshine when it arrives.

We called Terrey to our Landhaven Homes development site in Portishead mid-build to help with garden and landscaping plans. The garden had been derelict for years and was a completely overgrown mess. She grasped the high-end look we wanted to achieve and appreciated the limits of our budget. She gave excellent suggestions and advice on where to focus resources.
