Jake and Ed were fully supportive and engaged all the way from design concept to delivery and compliance with building regulations. They put us in touch with other specialists such as structural engineers, this was essential since we had a significant rebuild and extensions to undertake. They overcame challenges presented by the planning authority which resulted in further permissions being granted for balcony extensions besides the two storey and single storey extensions. They were always there when we needed them and this was sometimes out of routine hours. The unexpected find in delivering the project was a 40ft water well in the kitchen that is now a walk on glass feature. Thanks again Team Orange!

We contacted orange design studios for help as we wanted to transform our old bungalow from the 1940’s, into a beautiful modern home. We had never taken on a building project like this before, and were complete beginners with no idea as to where we needed to start. Jake and Edward took on our project and provided us with several design ideas and solutions, and created the final architectural drawings for our dream home. They even guided us in the right direction of the builders we ended up using, and they were also superb. Having moved into the Huddersfield area my partner and I wanted to extend and modernise our 1970's house. Not knowing any architects we used the combined methods of pot-luck, reading reviews and looking at websites. Orange Design Studio was one of the first that we read, we liked what we saw on their website and so contacted them. Jake and his team were great: professional, approachable and sympathetic to what our ideas were, while at the same time suggesting alternative solutions and different ideas. Having costed their original drawings and realised that it would be too expensive for our budget, they reworked the plans to suit. They actively welcomed any query that we had, no matter how small or trivial and responded in many cases by return of email. The office staff we spoke to were also professional and courteous. Finally, we asked them for a list of builders they could recommend and they gave us a list of six which we narrowed down to the final two, and then settled on the firm who completed the project. In short, we would highly recommend Orange Design Studio to anybody who needs a professional architect. In actual fact, some friends of ours who are moving from Liverpool into the area have asked which architects we used and we have recommended Orange Design already.

We found Orange Design Studio through a search on Houzz and how grateful we are to finding this company. From our very first interaction on Zoom to our meeting at our house and in there actual studio in Mirfield was incredible. It’s rare to find a company like this that are so meticulous and thorough with everything they do. They designed our rear extension with every small detail left unturned and helped get it over the line, they still keep in touch to this day. We asked Orange Design Studios to plan and design our single storey rear extension as well adding an interval utility room too. They sent over a few different designs which were all amazing and made it hard to choose. The ideas and designs they have are fab. We highly recommend using them. We instructed Orange Design Studio to coordinate the remodelling and extension project of our home. They listened to our brief and created several fantastic design options for us to consider! They provided a range of budget saving ideas alongside more valuable design options which was great to see. After we finalised our chosen scheme, orange coordinated the planning and building control stages as well as proving us with a thorough and detailed set of drawings and documents. This really set us up in good stead ready for our build. We would highly recommend the team at orange and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

We would highly recommend Orange Design as they were fantastic for our first time working with architects and also having building work done on our house. Jake initially took us through the process on a call so we knew the different stages and what to expect. We knew roughly what we wanted but having Anna design a few options for us was really helpful to see and gave us a great idea of the space. It was good to get their view on it. We just went ahead with building work on the basement, turning it into a useable kitchen space with an extension too. They also put together designs for an attic conversion and this made us excited for what we could achieve up there and their ideas on utilising the space were fab. Orange also recommended us the builders and building inspectors too which we’ve also been impressed with. The build is now complete and we’re so happy with how it’s turned out. Thanks to the team!

Jake and the Team at Orange were great helping us plan and visualise our project. They provided numerous drawings and the consultation process helped us look at options we didn’t think of and also with timings of key stages which helped us massively with financing the project and us ultimately being better organised and in turn saving cash. Orange and Connor were a superb partner in supporting us with our extension. At the beginning of the project we had a list of ideas and Orange started by producing 6 completely different concepts with varied designs (traditional to modern) and budgets. This allowed us to understand what was possible and narrow down what we wanted, which ended up as a combination of the designs produced. Planning was achieved without any issues. We started the build confident in the design which was a real help. I'd recommend Orange especially for the concept design stage. Thanks!

Firstly, I would like to say, many thanks to Orange Design Studios for the outstanding work they have completed for us. Perhaps foolishly, we decided to take on building two houses from scratch with little knowledge of how to go about this. As we knew planning permission was the starting point, we needed a design worthy of the development. We were recommended to go to Orange Design and were so glad of this. Right from the initial consultation the team explained everything including helping us with our role and responsibilities, which was just what we needed as novices. We gave Orange Design the go ahead and they produced a fantastic contemporary design which was perfect, they also helped get this passed by the planning department. We were kept informed at every stage and made to feel supported and we are confident that they are a very competent professional team.
