I have known Brent for many years and anybody in the industry will tell you, that he is highly experienced and a stand up guy. He is well versed in all phases: architectural, structural and design. He listens to his clients and offers creative and cost effective solutions. He is meticulous in the management phase, making sure that his team is on point, and building to specs and to code. We have worked on several projects together and I will continue to recommend him to all my clients.

Brett designed a stunning 800 sq foot Marina roof deck that included a tremendous marble fireplace, kitchen, 30 ft of planters, IPE and glass materials and a series of interior and seismic retrofits to boot. Great work and an amazing result.

I worked with Brent on a complete redo of a 1965 rancher. He took an old chopped up house and gave it a more modern sensibility for how we live today, while still maintaining the integrity and charm of the original house. He was knowledgable and met all of our deadlines and budget. I would work with him again on any architectural project!

Selecting an architect: it's not easy. I can say that, because I think of myself as a great researcher, and the first architect I selected was a mistake. Then I found Brent. I don't think that I was a great client. Having just been burned, I was pretty aware of how charges could add up, and I wasn't in the mood for another round of that. Brent accommodated me perfectly. Right now I'm looking at old emails between us. I'd hit him with a stack of questions, and he'd reply with clear, succinct answers. (Six-inch cans? No, not right for residential.) Back and forth we went, him taking the time to keep my wife and I very involved in every decision. The job itself was interesting. We'd purchased an old home, in disrepair. After living in it for a few years, we were ready to modernize the space, adding a bathroom, moving the kitchen, moving the main entrance, removing walls, etc. I should add one more important detail: the space was small. This might be where Brent really excelled: coming up with smart ideas to make our small space look big. Thank you Brent. Well done!

I have worked with Brent on 3 jobs - a large-budget (over $500k) remodel of my home, a small-budget (under $25k) remodel of a room in my home, and an outdoor recreation project at a local public school. In each case Brent was quick, clear, accurate, attentive to deadline and budget, and creative while getting the technical parts right - I would work with him again happily. Brent is low-key and direct, and he uses few words. This quiet, concise style becomes valuable as a project gets under way.

I have worked with Brent for years, perhaps a decade now. We have done many projects that require many skill sets. Brent has those skillsets. He has the communication skill for dealing with city permit process and even working with fire departments. He can tackle even the hardest of requirements that blow me away that include San Francisco projects. He even can do engineering that relates to structural, insulation and many others. What stands him out is that he can deliver on a timely basis and has the experience to give you an honest guidance that is sooo important with your project. Because at the end of the day, your project is more than just a project. It represents your money, time and your life commitments. He has never failed me and all the other clients that he has. I hired Brent at ONDAROSA for our extensive 2 phase remodel which included seismic retrofitting, gut remodel of 1st and second floor, and a 3rd floor addition and roof deck. He worked very well with the contractor, city building dept, and engineer to keep the job moving ahead and on time. Brent is extremely responsive, meticulous, and with his great design he turned our small old house into a beautiful modern masterpiece!
