“OKOSHI-KATAGAMI”とは（株）オコシ型紙商店が製造、または所有する手彫りの「伊勢型紙」を指します。本来は「きもの」の図柄を染色する目的のために文様が彫り抜かれた型紙のことであり、その起源には諸説あり、定かではありませんが、はるか一千余年の昔、神亀年間（8世紀初め・奈良時代）にとも桓武天皇の延暦年間（8世紀末・平安時代）に遡るともいわれますが、少なくとも室町時代には存在したとされています。その間、あらゆる意匠・デザインを吸収・創造・進化させながら、日本の文様・文化を型紙に投影させてきました。 OKOSHI-KATAGAMIの価値は創業以来、培ってきた美的感覚、その時折の流行を映し出した意匠・文様です。この意匠のポテンシャルはとても高く、ファッション・インテリアなどのプロダクトや企画に取り入れる事で他製品との差別化を図り、大きな付加価値を添加する事が出来ます。私たちOKOSHI-KATAGAMIはその価値を多くの方々に知っていただくことでその美を共有したいと願っています。 “OKOSHI-KATAGAMI” is the original brand for Ise Katagami, manufactured or owned by OKOSHI-KATAGAMI, Inc. OKOSHI-KATAGAMI is a kind of paper handicraft featuring manually carved patterns and figures. Innumerable katagami have been used to dye Japanese kimonos. Nobody exactly knows the historical origin of Katagami; however, many believe the practice appeared in the Muromachi era (AD 1338-1573) or earlier. Some people insist the oldest katagami was manufactured in eighth century. We can say Japanese beauty and culture have been being projected as patterns and designs through OKOSHI-KATAGAMI. We have always been developing new patterns and designs through creative efforts, while sometimes accepting influence from foreign cultures.
