Oakman have produced drawings for 2 extentions over the last couple of years, the most recent for a loft conversion completed in March of this year. Very easy to deal with, assisted with the planning side with the local authority and made it a hassle free job.

Oakman Architecture came highly recommended through a colleague of mine. All I knew was that I wanted a loft conversion for my house. However, I wasn't sure of how to go about it. Having had the site meeting with Nigel, and having listened to some very useful suggestions, the plans were drawn up and Nigel took charge with regards to submitting everything to the council. It was an extremely smooth and professional service.

Oakman devised a design for our kitchen extension into the side return and beyond. Ben from Oakman came up with an innovative design which incorporated an existing extension and enabled us to use the side return space and extend further to bring the whole back of the house out, flush with the existing extension. The kitchen design included a downstairs WC under the stairs. The design was taken through planning, which we were granted. Ben also provided drawings for Building Regulations. We also got our structural calculations through Oakman's contact. Ben's design and building control drawings were of a very high standard. They were easy to understand and to follow. The service provided was highly professional, and Ben was extremely helpful both explaining the planning and building control processes, and throughout all the process (including during the build itself).

We have used Nigel at Oakman architecture on 9 projects so far in SW and SE and are always impressed by his professionalism, great design ideas and attention to detail. We want to build a house on our corner shaped plot. Ben at Oakman Arcitecture came up with an excellent, modern design which made the most of our fairly limited space and got through planning without any significant alterations. The whole process was handled in a professional way. Ben not only listened to our needs but made some excellent suggestions.

I contacted Oakman after a recommendation, needed to plans for our extension urgently as the previous company had "messed" up. Very professional and handled the situation with the council promptly and professionally. Got all the necessary approvals after an appeal due to the previous errors. Nigel Coleman was my point of contact throughout my whole build which was a loft conversion. He was extremely professional, helpful, knowledgable and friendly at all times, worked to time, arranged all paperwork with the Council, and was always at the end of the phone to answer any queries I had. His fees were very competitive. I would have no problem at all in recommending him and the company.
