We have worked with Jeff on a number of projects from our master bathroom remodel when we moved into our home in 2005 through to our hallway bathroom and powder room remodels in 2021. In between he has worked on some smaller projects for us including a kitchen countertop replacement project. Jeff is very friendly and easy to work with and is always very responsive to our needs with clear communications and regular visits and checks on his crew. Jeff has provided his expert guidance on various options on our projects which has been invaluable to us. Costs and schedules are always clearly explained up front so there are no surprises or unexpected delays. His crew are friendly and respectful of the people and property that they are working around and always clean up at the end of the day. They closed off the work areas to minimize noise as much as possible while we were working from home. We also appreciated their adherence to COVID safety protocols. We have always been very pleased with the end results and never hesitate to recommend Jeff and his crew to our friends.

We recently had a major remodel of the interior of our home, including tearing out all the flooring and replacing with new hardwood flooring, complete remodel of our bathrooms, fireplace and stairwell/bannister, and upgrades to our kitchen, new crown molding and new paint on the interior. Jeff was amazing, and actually, very knowledgeable and helped guide us through the process, especially picking out new hardware. The additional crew he brought in for the flooring, tile work, fireplace and bannisters were top notch professionals. We had a most interesting perspective because we did the remodel during the pandemic, and so we were home, the whole time, watching the work progress. We saw how diligent the workers were, and how they held very high standards for their work. Their work was meticulous, every step of the way. We also enjoyed how the crew took pride in the quality of their work. Jeff came to the project all the time, looked at the progression of the work, and kept the project going forward, smoothly. This was a major remodel, and we are incredibly pleased with the workmanship. We feel like we are living in a brand new home. We are enjoying the results of the remodel. On Budget, Ahead of Schedule, & WAY above our expectations! Working with Nueva Builders, Inc was a great experience. In 30 years as homeowners, we have worked with dozens of contractors. We interviewed 6 companies for this project, all of them BBB rated. Jeff met with us on site to walk through the project. Even in that meeting we were impressed with his questions of us & his recommendations. While the bid was neither the lowest nor the highest, it was thorough & fair; allowing for costs & outlining where pricing would depend on our choices. The project involved a complete remodel of the master bath, an update of the guest bath, & the extension of our IPE decking to surround & install a new hot tub. Everything, from design, permits, demo, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile, finish & inspections was handled seamlessly. The crew arrived right on time everyday & worked diligently; the most considerate, responsive crew we've ever had! There was always a task plan & the job site was kept clean. Most importantly, Jeff is a fantastic communicator. He was hands on & on-site when needed, but clearly trusts his crew to get the work done correctly. He was always available for questions or to talk through ideas. He was reasonable with job changes & made sure we had options. Every installer he brought on site, (tile, counter, glass door, sheetmetal, or electrical) cared about the finished product & took time to do their part right. They were all courteous, flexible and helpful. Throughout the project, Jeff identified some small options to lighting, venting, electrical and smoke detectors, that he worked into the schedule to make our home safer and more beautiful. He knows his stuff! The results are fantastic! We are not the best photographers but have attached a few shots. Honestly: we keep saying "WOW!" when we look at the end result. We hosted Thanksgiving this year and our family and friends were as amazed as we are by the upgrade to our home. The BBB rating is clearly deserved - - You can trust your home to Jeff Cretcher!

Jeff helped us through the last phase of a multi-phase home remodel, which included installing a steel beam to open up the kitchen/dining/living room to one space, and reconfiguring a bedroom into a home office and master bath. We have worked with a few other contractors over the years, and the experience with Nueva Builders was the best. The project kicked off in Nov 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, and our family of 4 lived in our home, working and attending school online downstairs while the work progressed upstairs. Jeff came by most days to check in on his team and work through challenges together. He is responsive and communicates well. His team is neat and respectful, and cleaned up the dust daily, which makes a HUGE difference when you're living through the renovation. We love our finished home!

Jeff from Nueva is a kind, honest and patient contractor. He truly wants to please his clients and handles change orders in a fair and straightforward way. His employees are pleasant and very hard working and his subs are top notch. We trust them all in our home. It is a pleasure to work with people who take pride in their work.

Jeff completed a bathroom remodel for me in 2018. Overall, it was a very good experience: good communication, high integrity, pleasant (and skilled) workers.

We did a bathroom remodel, interior paint, and interior door replacement. Jeff was attentive to details and very accommodating. We always felt that Jeff had our best interest at heart. We always felt comfortable asking Jeff any questions. We love how our project turned out.

I wanted a quick remodel for our rental and Jeff delivered. Having worked with many contractors, Jeff was professional, transparent, and offered honest guidance as to what was best. I didn’t have much time to be hands on and wanted a contractor that I could give keys, to have it taken care of from beginning to end. He kept me in the loop and even brought samples to my house. Highly recommend and would definitely use Jeff for future projects.

Working with Jeff was really great. He was quick to respond whenever I had any questions or concerns. His crew were very respectful of our space as I was living in the house during the renovations, which did get a little tricky, but they were great about cleaning up as much as possible at the end of the day. Jeff also had a great recommendations for me in terms of where to go for tiles and lighting etc, especially certain places where you might be able to get good deal. As you would expect with any renovation project, there were little hiccups along the way, and I'm happy to say that most were the kind that you could not really have predicted ahead of time. Either way, they were all resolved quickly, and we managed to finish the project on time, even with an added service that I had requested ad-hoc! Jon oversaw my project specifically and was really good about seeing to the small details that may bug you later but didn't even notice before. I highly recommend Nueva Builders, and will definitely use them again if need be in the future.

I hired Jeff and his team to do a kitchen remodel in our San Mateo home and they did an excellent job! Jeff was very responsive, reasonably priced and accommodating, and his team was great to work with. His crew and subcontractors did a fantastic job, especially the guy that he brought in to do the hardwood floors. He managed to perfectly match the new hardwood flooring to the original flooring (dating 1929) in the rest of the house, so the new kitchen floor flows seamlessly into the adjacent rooms. I would definitely recommend working with Jeff and his team!

Nueva builders completed our first floor remodel in 2015-16. The work included gutting our entire downstairs (kitchen and living area), expanding the footprint, removing a load bearing wall and inserting a one ton beam to support the upstairs. The work that Jeff and his team did on our home is excellent. The final space is beautiful, well made, well designed and exactly what we had wanted. Jeff and his team are extremely hard working, meticulous and take a lot of pride in their product. We are thrilled with the result. Overall the process was not the easiest, but I think that can be said for all remodels. Jeff did his best to accommodate us throughout the process. Early on we hit a snag, with structural engineering plans and the layout of the existing HVAC system. Jeff worked very hard with the architect and the engineer (who was very difficult to deal with) to find the most cost effective solution, in order to maintain the open concept we wanted, and not blow our budget. He is incredibly honest and we always felt we could trust him. We can highly recommend Jeff and his team.
