I have had the pleasure of working with Ami Vannoy at Nor-Cal Floor Design a few times. Not only are the hardwood floors the most beautiful product I have seen out there, it has always been a very pleasant experience. Amy’s number one goal is to make sure you love the color, finish, and product and works hard to make sure you get that! The communication is always prompt and friendly. Nor-Cal FLoor Design has always delivered our product on on or before the estimated due date. I highly recommend Nor-Cal Floor Design to anyone who is in the market for quality, beautiful flooring. I cannot say enough about the company and their product!

My husband and I built and designed a modern farmhouse in Reno, Nevada and, knowing the floors we chose would be the only floors we would live with for the rest of our lives, we wanted the most beautiful floors we could find. We love the touch and look of REAL wood with knots and grain. We love a warm tone but one that is a little cool and never yellow. The combination of our bright white farmhouse cabinetry and natural stone counters and tile next to the floors we chose from Nor-Cal Design (with the high quality installation) have given our home that much sought after top ranking designer look we wanted! 5 STARS! Working with Nor-Cal Floor design has been the best part of my home renovation. Ami and her team are the consummate professionals, delivering the highest level of service one could ask for. The quality of their wood flooring options, even exceeded my lofty expectations. Above all of that though, it's truly their craftsmanship that puts them in another league. Their attention to detail is phenomenal. They will seriously treat your home, like it is their home. It not only gave me incredible peace of mind, but also really made the whole process joyful....how often can you say that about putting in new flooring?!?!? They are the BEST and I recommend them at the highest of levels!

We selected Nor-Cal wood floors for our new custom home. Nor-Cal was recommended by our builder for their high quality materials, dependability, and top-notch installations. They offer a nice range of wood floors, with some stunning unique styles, in both both solid and engineered woods (we went with engineered construction for our hydronic heated floors). They also offer custom finishes such as hand scraping and worked with us to get just the right look and stain color. Nor-Cal's staff was very knowledgable and helpful. We've lived in the North Tahoe-Truckee for almost 20 years . . . it's a small town, and these guys have a great reputation for quality and dependability. Building a new house, there are always a few hiccups and surprises -- Nor-Cal delivered on all fronts. The look and feel of our floors exceeded our expectations. We were present for most of Nor-Cal's install and were super impressed with the level of precision, care, and craftsmanship of the installation. These guys really care and it shows! Highly recommended; would not hesitate to use them again.

This stunning floor is the star of the condo, just the right amount of knots for the light touch of rustic we wanted. Matt and Ami are fantastic - Ami always had answers for our many questions and responded quickly with txt, e-mail, or phone call. Matt is a careful perfectionist and his ideas for finishes between the flooring and other materials were inspired. He really is an artist. This was a small job and Nor-Cal was able to install between larger projects - we are greatful. We were able to keep on budget and on time. I recommend Nor-Cal with the highest praise for the quality of the product and the quality of their installation & follow-up. I would love to work with Ami and Matt on another project.

Nor-Cal Floor Design not only offers beautiful and quality products, but also outstanding customer service. I know anytime that I take a client into their showroom they will find the right floor for their home, a custom color can be created and the end product will be what they want. We are so happy we went with Nor-Cal Floor Design for our remodel. Our new floors look amazing! The team is great to work with and were all very helpful from the start. Ami provided samples and custom samples until we found the exact finish we were looking for and was always available to answer any and all questions we had in a very timely manner. The wide plank European oak installed is very high quality and is holding up really well with two dogs running around our house. Matt and the rest of the team are very detail oriented. The whole team really cares about the product and quality of their work and it really shows in the end result. Matt also designed a custom reclaimed wood half wall for us which is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely use Nor-Cal again for Phase two of our home remodel!

Nor-Cal Floor Design exceeded my every expectation. We have an older home, built in the 40's, and they made the floor feel like it was installed at the original time of construction. They diamond saw cut into the stone fireplace where it meets the floor, so that they could have the floors look perfect and fit right into the stonework. The original stone fireplace basically extends into several rooms and both floors of the home, so it was a critical element to get right. Also, the stairway needed to blend in, and it does perfectly with an original pine railing and expert craftsmanship/installation around the railings. You really have to see their work in person to believe how great the installation was - it is truly amazing... I would highly recommend their work.

Nor-Cal did an incredible job with our floors. My husband and I are both architects with incredibly high expectations. They had incredible attention to detail getting our custom finish perfect and great advice and assistance with getting our super fussy no-baseboard detail right.

Great products. Work with us on a very particular and custom finish. Beautiful work on the wood and the install looks fantastic.
