Nicky’s style of decorating ranges from the elegantly restrained country house interior to the more dynamic and luxurious contemporary style, always aiming to create an interior that will endure time and trends.
Having qualified from the KLC school of Design some fifteen years ago Nicky Bailey has practiced Interior Design with some of London’s foremost designers, namely Nicholas Herbert and Colin Orchard, both Colefax trained. This classic yet creative style of decorating has become Nicky’s passion.

Since launching in 2011 Nicky Bailey Interiors has worked on projects big and small. From the reconfiguration and redevelopment of London properties to the design and decoration of elegant family homes.
Nicky originally trained as a portrait painter at Central St.Martins and has a natural understanding and love of colour, as well as a gift for drawing and design. Where possible Nicky likes to design as much furniture as she can, “that way the client gets exactly what she or he wants, a piece that not only fits perfectly and works to the clients requirements but a piece that is a one off, that is special”
This ability to put ideas to paper and to visualize a property’s potential is Nicky’s strength.
“I love design, whether it’s the tiniest flat or a large commercial project. It’s the process of problem solving, coming up with ideas to make the space work and transforming it. It’s so exciting, to make something beautiful. I don’t work in one style, every interior dictates what will work for it and therefore for its client, the consistency I maintain is attention to detail and quality of materials. There are so many fabulous products coming onto the market that I can’t wait to use. It’s hard not to remain enthusiastic!”
She lives and works in Chelsea with her canine counterpart Souxsie.
