Niall brought a thoughtful approach to finishing a 900 sf basement at our ranch house in Dobbs Ferry. His contribution to the project completely changed the quality and usability of the space -- bringing much needed sunlight to below-grade space and understanding how the space could be best utilized. He is flexible with his ideas, listening closely to client goals and needs, adding functionality and value within budget. I would highly recommend his perspective for any project!

After meeting with several local architects in the Summer of 2017, we hired Niall Cain / NcC Studio Architects to design and advise on our whole home renovation in Yonkers, NY. We completed the project in October 2018 and are absolutely delighted with our "like new" home. Niall was deeply involved in every aspect of our project, including overall design, interior design, engineering, permitting, revisions, materials, and finding, negotiating and dispute resolution with our GC. Niall is both easy and cost-effective to work with, but not at the expense of getting the job done right. Although we were new to the renovation game, we were very hands-on and with Niall's balanced guidance and professional approach, we got the excellent results that we hoped for. Photos to follow.

I have worked with Niall on multiple occasions. Once Niall drew up design plans for a contemporary wall unit for my house. Another time he worked with me and my wife designing our dream kitchen which we still love today. He utilized the space so well and gave us a highly functional kitchen that also looks sleek and modern. Because he was easy going and allowed my wife and I to get what we both wanted without any tension, I decided to hire him once again. This time for my work office and recording studio, which had to be soundproofed and highly functional for both my clients and my staff. I felt that his pricing was competitive and he always met the necessary deadlines. I would not hesitate to work with him again in the future.

NcC Studio did an excellent job renovating Our home in Dobbs Ferry NY. He's a very talented architect and project manager. He has a great taste level and was extremely helpful in making recommendations for various aspects of the project as well as for materials, fixtures, appliances, and decorative. He is a good partner and is very approachable.

Niall helped us reimagine a master bedroom suite, including adding windows, skylights, a library and ladder system, raising the ceiling up to the studs, and enlarging the bathroom. He did a marvelous job. That master bedroom suite helped sell the house when we finally moved.

We are doing a gut renovation and an addition on a mid century modern house in Westchester. Niall has been dedicated, thoughtful, and professional. He patiently listens and understands what we are looking for and offers options and insights that almost always improve the work. Niall does a great job of blending aesthetic and functional objectives. Finally, he frequently visits the job site and has great communication with the GC. We are very happy with Niall’s work and strongly recommend him.

Niall helped us design a large new home renovation and was great to work with. He provided many great layout ideas and helped with design choices that matched our style. He is very skilled and professional, but more importantly he cares about his clients. He also had a great relationship with our contractors and was willing to be on site at any time to address any architectural issues. I would highly recommend working with Niall.

We hired NcC Studio 5 years ago to redesign the front entry on our 1925 craftsman style home. The entry now is beautifully congruent with the house and we get many compliments from passersby. The detailing is beautiful - copper flashing is visible and reflects the quality of the design. We again hired Cain last year to design our 3rd floor dormer to match the character of the entry. Our builder loved the design as well. Cain worked with us to make our house more beautiful and functional.
