NAK Cabinetry

Hello Janice,

Your project was a large scale residential renovation and it is not uncommon for unexpected issues to arise which can cause delays. Some of the factors that had an impact on your project were as follows:

1. More then 10 changes including upgrades and modifications were made to the cabinets and design while they were either in production or during installation.
2. NAK is a cabinet design company and contracts with several cabinet manufacturers and installers. We do not make the cabinets ourselves and we are not responsible for educating the client on this detail, in fact no one has ever raised this as an issue other than yourself. As such, we are somewhat at the mercy of these suppliers to live up to their promises to us. Unfortunately when previously reliable performers turn in an unforeseen bad performance and are not honest about the facts surrounding that, (like when they received the drawing and agreed to the delivery date written on them) details that go beyond the paperwork, this reflects poorly on us. Fortunately these situations are extremely rare and weeded out as quickly as possible, as proven by our track record based on the rest of the reviews found on this site. We also did our best despite this issue to push forward and make sure that your project was succesfully completed and installed. 3. NAK was NOT the general contractor for this project and was not responsible for the location of new doors inserted into walls or any other major relocation and installation details outside of the cabinets based on the original design. We also had no direct control over any other contractors on the site or over the accuracy of their work.
4. Many aspects of the original plans and layouts were arbitrarily adjusted without proper consultation and as such it is unreasonable to expect NAK to keep perfect measurements or to supply no charge modifications of its original designs to reflect such ongoing changes.
5. We are always willing to communicate promptly when it is mutually respectful and both parties acknowledge and actually listen to the other.
