Having previously met Andy, we thought of The Mural Works for a large scale interior mural for a Seattle waterfront restaurant, both the process and the results were great on all levels!

Andy painted a large collage of scenes of his design on our bedroom wall about five years ago. The painting took approximately five days. He was a both an excellent guest and professional artist. It was a joy to watch the project unfold. The painting is still a joy to look at and always draws admiring comments from everybody who sees it. I would not hesitate to hire The Mural Works again and strongly recommend Andy to anyone with a mural project.

Andy has by far exceeded our expectations....Our project was new construction, therefore, he started with a clean slate....As he painted (with each mural) he began to give the room 'much needed' character, theme and warmth........He is very detail oriented, and an extreme talent!! This project was a first for Andy - he copied an old Chinese painting onto the underside of a harpsichord lid. Together we figured out how best to translate the details of the rectangular painting to the asymmetrical lid. Working from photographs, Andy finished the project in his studio in a week (it would have taken me a year and I couldn't have done such a fine job!). Photos of the painting process were posted on his website (June 2014). This photo of the completed instrument was taken before a concert at Town Hall in Seattle. Thanks Andy - everyone who sees this says "Oh, wow!"

Andy Eccleshall was referred to me by my interior designer, Michelle Yorke. Andy came to the first meeting with lots of really great suggestions and ended up painting two ceilings for me: my foyer, which is 22 ft high and my library. His biggest job was painting my guest loo with a mural on the walls,. Oh, and he painted that ceiling too! Andy coordinated with my contractor and designer to ensure that he was given the time necessary (house was new construction) to complete his work. His work was done on time and on budget. Cannot recommend Andy highly enough, especially if you are looking for something a little different and unique.

We've used Andy on two different mural projects, one a two story affair showing Mt. Shucksan and Picture Lake in large relief and a smaller one covering 4 walls of a guest bath showing mountain views from the summit of Mt. Dickerman in 4 different directions. Andy's both very talented and very willing to work with the customer so that the final effect is "just right." Plus, when there was an accident and a mural needed repair, he was great about coming over and taking care of it. For both projects the price we paid was very reasonable. We felt we got good value for the money. And Andy was simply great to work with.

Had the good fortune (and pleasure) to meet Andy at the Seattle home show. I told him I wanted a ceiling mural and his vision and unrivaled skills transformed 3 complete rooms, and multiple doors in my home. As a person, and a professional, you will not find better.

Andy was fantastic to work with. He came in for a quote on an elaborate ceiling mural with technical difficulty (3D perspective) and sent a few sketches of options we could chose from. Once we settled on a design, he came in, installed his scaffolding and the rest was as seamless as enthralling to watch. After 4 days, it was done and Andy's masterwork is a discussion piece every time we have guests over. The work is flawless, the quote was reasonable and we love watching our mural each time we enter the room. Andy is a pleasure working with and I would highly recommend him for anyone who wants to start a mural project.

NO WORDS can express how beyond elated my husband and I are with Andy’s work! Andy painted our entire stairwell (4 walls) with a mural that is simply STUNNING. It’s an honor to have it in our house. No joke, we are seriously in awe. At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, we actually said to each other, “It’s like the Sistine Chapel,” and that’s not really an exaggeration. As beautiful as the photos on his website are, seeing his work in real life is 500x better. The layering of different tones creates a depth that makes you feel as if you’re INSIDE the painting. There are so many little touches that take the art from being “just” a landscape to a movie, of sorts, with all these little parts going on that add interest but flow together perfectly. After Andy finished, we just stood there for 30 minutes, taking in all the detail. My husband will be using the stairway as a meditation spot because it is so inviting now. I can’t remember the last time I was so satisfied with any purchase of any type. Besides the outstanding quality of his art, Andy is completely professional, timely, communicative, efficient, tidy, and a dream to work with. He truly has a gift, and we are so grateful to have gotten to share in it.

Andy Eccleshall is a top notch artist and muralist. I knew he was a great muralist and advocate for Historic Preservation but when I attended the opening for one of his shows I was truly impressed with the sensitivity and impact of his fine art. As a designer I would not hesitiate to hire him for any of my projects!

The first time I saw Andy' paintings was a few years ago, and since then I have kept following his latest creations. I visited his gallery a few times and could really see his passion for nature. I am amazed by his intricate wall paintings in many houses. A long time ago I decided I wanted to get a painting done, but waited for the right time and the right artist to do it. I wanted a painting of a photo of my daughter for her 18th birthday, and asked Andy to do the job. I told Andy it has to be an exact replica of the photo, which was a picture of my wife and newly-born daughter. Andy said it would be challenging because he hadn't painted portraits for quite some time, but he felt he could do it. A few weeks passed by, and Andy called me to approve the portrait before the final touch. I was amazed. He made my day! Andy's painting was exactly what I wanted. The portrait is priceless to me, plus my wife and daughter love it! I recommend Andy to anybody who would like wall paintings, portraits, or nature paintings. I have had the pleasure of working with Andy on 2 projects in our home. The projects began with Andy spending considerable time with us to capture our thoughts and desires on paper. He then took them and added his artistic views and created a digital representation to give us a tangible view of the concepts and elements developed from his time with us. He has always captured the essence of what we wanted. Both project leave people just standing and absorbing his creation. Andy's attention to detail is exhibited in every project. The last project took almost 4 weeks and he was as excited as we were to see it. There are different levels of skill and talent when it comes to artistic ability. His talent is extraordinary! I believe that he can create anything you may want, it's all a matter of time spent, not talent lacked. I looked at other artists websites and work before we decided on Andy. What landed him was his versatility and his, well, how do I say it? His work does not look like a novice artist, it's just pure art. You will not be disappointed.
