Our cabinet makers build custom pieces from kitchen cabinets to bathroom vanities, doors, and bookshelves. They bring any unique vision a client has to life. Our finish department paints, stains, and restores new and existing pieces. They collaborate with our cabinet makers to create a finished product that creates the look clients want to achieve. The finish department is the last stop before heading out for installation. Our carpenters work on large scale structures to demo, build, and restore residential and commercial projects. They work indoors on carpentry framing, flooring, tile, and more and outdoors on desk siding, roofing, and other renovations. Our carpenters can complete a house from the ground up. Our office staff, estimators, project managers, and architectural designers round out our full staff. They ensure our daily operations run smoothly, projects are completed to perfection in a timely manner, costs are kept both fair and accurate, and designs are laid out according to needs and desires of our clients. We create spaces that are functional, beautiful, and We work with homeowners, architects, designers and contractors to create custom woodworking and spaces that are beautiful and functional.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and quality of the work done on our home by M.R. Brewer. Winter was coming and our arrangements to have the wood trim repairs done on our 20-year home had fallen through. Mike and Tim were able to complete the work in short order and without replacing any windows. They were talented and personable. Matthew was great at communicating with us every step of the way. We look forward to working with them again when we do more extensive projects in the future!

We found out that M.R. Brewer Inc. was building a spec home & decided to purchase it before they broke ground so we could help make choices that were important to us. We had not worked with them before, but had heard great things about their work. It didn't take long to realize that this company is in a elite class. They are polite, clean & most important, very talented. It is a family business with enthusiastic employees. Tavia, their in-house designer is a professional that is a great asset to the company, so along with the highest quality of wood workers , the family pride & the relationship with great skilled workers that it takes to do a project of this magnitude, I am very confident in giving them the highest recommendation.

I hired M.R. Brewer to demolish an old deck and above ground pool, repair the area, and construct a new deck. The job was commenced on schedule and completed in a total of 8 days, the construction crew was prompt and professional, and the new deck was well crafted (looks great and is structurally sound). Everyone involved seemed to genuinely want to do a good job and they genuinely appeared to care about customer satisfaction.

Unsurpassed customer service! MR Brewer without exception has been the best and most professional business we've worked with both on residential & commercial projects. Project manager Matt, Rusty & Shawn, Nick are meticulous and detail oriented in every aspect: from planning and design to the skilled craftsmanship of their products . Onsite staffs are respectful of works space: floors are covered with protective layer, clean up is provided at the end of workday. We are extremely satisfied w their service and have repeatedly recommended MR Brewer to many friends.

M.R. Brewer was first recommended to me in 1999. Since then, they have served as exceptional partners for multiple renovation projects on my 100+ year old Victorian home. Projects included a new gourmet kitchen, three new baths, complete remodel of the second floor including a master suite, and a new carriage house with three car garage. The quality of work, professionalism and customer service is stellar.

We recently contracted with M.R. Brewer to build a 3 season sunporch addition to our home. The finished product far exceeded our expectations. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were remarkable. We went to MR Brewer--a Portland, Maine, family owned business--to discuss kitchen cabinets for our new lakeside timber frame house. We were so impressed with the enthusiasm, can-do attitude, friendliness, professionalism, and skill of all those involved with the company, we decided to have them build the whole house. They were a pleasure to work with--understanding our vision and helping us perfect it--and the result is gorgeous, from the complicated timber frame beam construction to the smallest design detail. We hired MR Brewer to redo the bathroom in our condo, which included removal of a tub/shower combo, toilet, and sink. And replacing those with a tiled walk-in shower, sink, in-wall medicine cabinet (where none had been before), toilet, and electric wall-hung towel warmer. Throughout, we found Matt Brewer to be friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. And the work done by the professionals with whom he contracted was done competently and expeditiously. They also stayed within budget. We would certainly hire MR Brewer again for any renovations or new cabinet work.
