M Pete Inc

I hired M Pete Inc to do a complete renovation on my home, including building a new garage. Our experience with Pete and her subs were excellent, Pete brings experience as well asdesign expertise.

4 houses and 10 years of excellent work. Pete has transformed each of our homes into beautiful living spaces that perfectly reflect our lifestyle and who we are as a family. She really takes the time to listen and figure out what can work for us and it does! We have known and depended on Pete and her crew for professional work and craftsmanship for many years. She has never let us down. I highly recommend her for her excellent design skills and work ethic. She’s the best!

Pete's company, M Pete Inc, did a great job remodeling our kitchen, laundry room and master bedroom closet. The project was on time, she had lots of good design ideas, and all the sub contractors were happy too. She helped us save money and we have no complaints, only praise for a job well done. We would definitely use her company again!

From start to finish, Pete Mangum the owner and principal at M. Pete, failed not only to deliver but to cause more stress and strife in our lives than one can imagine. Her numbers were all completely unrealistic and every single thing was much more expensive than her quote. We ended up finding and using our own mason for the blue stone walk way. She and her subcontractor tried to use Sherwin Williams Duracraft (Sherwin Williams Lowest End Paint) and said it was Duration, which was what was specified. we had to pay a painter to completely repaint our 6,000 sq ft house. M. Pete 's Gas/Plumber was completely incapable of running a gas line, so we had to use our own gas company who hung the gas lanterns in 2 hours. The doors that were ordered came in completely wrong after she sent several revisions for approval which were nothing like the doors specified. We are still without new Front and Side Doors.The icing on the cake was the arches (that were built to support Plantation Doors that hang on pivot hinges which we had to order after terminating our contract with her) were made with rubber wood!! Rubber!!! There are no supports on the front porch and the entire architecture that was added by her now has to be ripped out and rebuilt!!

Stay away. Pete Mangum of M. Pete Inc. has no morals or integrity. She can't keep a crew because everything she does turns to disaster, and they get tired of homeowners yelling at them. She ends up having to hire anybody with a hammer she can find, has to switch subs all the time because they stop working with her because she is slow to pay, fails to pay, is doing such a bad job that they are embarrassed to be on the site, etc., and then she blames the homeowner for any payment issues, even though the owner is paying according to the contract. She uses sub-par materials whenever she can get away with it. She doesn't know anything about building herself, so slipshod work just goes unnoticed, unchanged, and worst of all, she simply does not care. So she is rarely on the jobsite, other than to collect checks. What an absolute nightmare. On my job I had to go to the site every single day to stop the bad work and make them fix it. Even so, the final paint job was so bad I finally just made the painters leave, after all the drips and runs and every single window painted shut, a roof disaster where I had to throw the roofers off the job and hire my own crew, and hundreds of hours of my own work and several other professionals' work as well.
