One of our friends recommended us about Miri Design as they have done a great job at re-decorating their house. Miri design has been fantastic from start to finish with our double story extension (just over £200k approx.) from the layout (at design stage) to floor tiles, wall papers, painting, colour theme, furnitures selection and the list goes on. Dorota and Julia were an amazing team and helped us complete our project in a really short time frame in relation to the size of the job. The project management was exceptionally cost-effective and they helped us move the process along in a way we wouldn't have been able to do on our own. We particularly benefitted from their amazing network of tradespeople, from curtains to decorators, to the carpenter, plumber and electrician. This aspect was absolutely priceless and they were generous with their high quality introductions. Dorota gets things done quickly and always injects a bit of flair into her designs whilst listening to the client's requirements/tastes. Communication is fast and easy and she is professional and hard working. Personal generosity like picking up some drawer handles on her holiday was really appreciated. Our project was quite stressful because we were expecting a baby and so had a hard deadline to keep, but Dorota and Julia handled this beautifully and everything was (pretty much) done in time for our arrival.

Working with Dorota and Julia has been a breeze from start to finish. The whole process from inception to completion was made so much easier by their calming presence! We’ve just completed a single storey extension and full renovation of our family home - 5 beds, 2 baths, 2 receptions and a large kitchen / diner. Full project cost circa 250k. Moodesignz offers the perfect balance of creativity and efficiency. Nothing was too much trouble and we’ve ended up with a house far more beautiful than we could have realised alone, but not feeling too ‘done’. We had decided to undertake an extension and renovation of the downstairs of a five bedroom house, initially my wife and I were skeptical of using an interior designer, since we had never used one before. Having read the reviews of Moodesignz we decided to have a meeting with Dorota. She carefully listened to our haphazard ideas and took them away and producing mood boards where we could start to visualize how our home would look. Dorota always encouraged us to be bold with colours and decisions always reassuring us everything would fall into place, if she had not encouraged this our house would have ended with different colours of beige. She managed to give us endless options and ideas how to use the space in the best way, and producing a wow factor in every room. Also going to the shops with Dorota was extremely useful especially the flooring and kitchen shops, where she very quickly narrowed down the the huge array of options to what would suit the property this saved so much time. I would also like to mention that Julia the other half of Moodesignez has been an absolute God send, she has ordered everything from large scale items to small ones, kept in constant contact of when and how things were being delivered, she delayed deliveries when needed and took all the stress out of the job. We were so impressed how our downstairs renovation was taking shape we decided to do the Master bedroom and en-suite, again Dorota's vision was exactly what we had wanted resulting in a beautiful, relaxing and harmonious bedroom and en suite which i initially thought would not be possible. Dorota and Julia have not just designed an interior of a house but made a home that tailors to our every needs in a practical but a visually stunning way. I would strongly recommend Moodesignz for any small or large project. The project we undertook had a building cost and furnishings in the region of £170000

I can’t tell you what a difference Dorota and Julia made to our project but I’ll try! We took on an huge renovation, extension and full redesign of a 7 bedroom detached house which had fallen into disrepair and everything apart from the roof was changed. They were amazing from beginning to end, and continue to support in all decisions from minor to major. They have helped so many ways and more than I could have expected - way beyond what I understood interior design could mean and hard to articulate exactly what a difference their work has made. Exceeded all expectations and saved me hours and weeks of my life, the mental load, stress, sanity and have made our vision come to life. We both work and have four children and didn’t know where to start. Given the expense in the labour element of all work on such a large project we wanted to ensure we didn’t make silly but costly mistakes (as we had previously eg colour clash of paint, flooring etc). Moodesign were incredible value for money and with the discounts provided have largely covered the fee. In addition - it hasn’t been much more expensive to then think about design aspects and really make our house a home that we all love. The kids have particularly enjoyed being part of the process. They also have great discounts and can suggest high street to high end and many in between. I get quite overwhelmed with the range of choice in everything from skirting boards to tiles, to bath fittings, carpets, door handles lighting electrical location, room layouts and she’s taken all of that away and helped with such amazing vision and attention to detail. I also have quite a sense of what I like and don’t like and Dorota has tuned into that but helped us be more adventurous as I’d prob have just gone white everywhere due to decision overwhelm. She also has worked brilliantly with our project manager and dealt with all the purchasing and delivery dates etc too and for such a large project with so many moving parts during covid, supply chain problems, brexit, Ukraine - all of which impacted our build and project. Above and beyond. We will use them for any further projects and recommend highly. Everyone who has been to the house comments on the colours and wallpapers. We are delighted.

had double story extension and total internal renovation on our house. We were recommended Dorota and Julie by our builders. Never having used an interior designer before we did not know what to expect. The project was huge and overwhelming and using an interior designer was the best decision we ever made. We were very nervous this was our first large scale renovation, and we were determined be bold make sweeping changes to the whole house. My Husband and I were unsure on how best to utilise the space and bring our vision together. Danika was patient and provide excellent ideas on how to use the space to benefit the whole family and provide real guidance. Dorota and Julie were able to translate our ideas and list of wants (some contradictory!) and turned it into a space into our dream home. Every step Danika listened and, provided alternatives and accommodated our budget whist ensuring the bigger picture was adhered to. Our home would never have had the wow factor it has without Moodezign and we still use Darota and Julie to sourced items to continue to evolve our home which is always very exciting. Having started a total refurb of our current property we totally underestimated the many decisions that had to be made, as a busy working mum it became more overwhelming rather than enjoyable. After meeting Dorota, she quickly realised our needs, and overall look that we were trying to create and made the whole process a breeze! Mood boards were created and agreed together for each room - including furniture placement, lighting concepts, paint colours, flooring types and colours, aswell as bathroom layout/ tiling schemes, kitchen layout, unit and worktop colours, and furniture/products to suit the space. Darota and Julie managed the whole project for us and dealt with supplies and builders, they were fun to work with and very patient, they were the calm through the chaos of the build, always upbeat and professional with extensive knowledge of interior design and saved us thousands of pounds, their service was invaluable. Dorota and Julie are both fantastic work with they were fun and professional and made this whole journey an absolute pleasure as were great value for money. It was a best decision we ever made, and they will bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and insight to the project and made our ideas come to life. What an absolute pleasure it was working with Dorota and Julia on renovating our new house. They worked closely with our builders to make sure the project ran seamlessly. From the first meeting we knew they we’re the team for us as they showed genuine interest in the house and their portfolio showed their style and design was exactly what we were looking for. They helped us design and decorate our 4 bedroom house within our budget which was around £150k, this includes the kitchen of our dreams. They have a real eye for detail and are able to source items from the high street to high end. We’ve recommended to anyone that asks and would use them again when or if needed!

We couldn’t be happier with the work of Dorota of MooDesignz. We absolutely love our flat! We had a budget of £20,000 for some small building works and a complete re-design of our 2 bedroom flat on the high street in St. Albans. The flat has exposed beams throughout (from the 16th century) and is a real unique property. We asked Dorota to help us make the all white flat eccentric, colourful and full of St. Albans flavour. She couldn’t have done her job better. With fantastic wallpaper choices and wonderful paint colours to match (ones we could never have put together ourselves!!), the property is just bursting with character. We get so many compliments from our air bnb guests who come to stay. Just recently, someone called it her “happy place!” Thank you Dorota and team for a wonderful experience. Professional, helpful, always there for any questions and most importantly a truly spectacular finished product! We are so happy.

Five star rated designer and sourcer of ideas, products and solutions Four star in terms of a difficult project situation and project management of contractors Moodesignz is a fantastic designer and does the most important things brilliantly - they bring ideas and inspiration to the table, but is able to help you realise your own ideas too. I really enjoyed working with them and having my vision expanded. They also have a really brilliant network of suppliers and contractors covering everything from building works, to bespoke furniture makers, to restorers and handy-people. The only reason this wasn’t five star in terms of project management is a little out of Moodesignz control - our project happened on the heels of brexit, and in the throes of the pandemic and first lockdown. This created massive problems with suppliers and unfortunately we were rather let down by a few of the contractors.

I would recommend Dory at Moodesignz for any interiors project. We are about to complete part one of our renovation with the upstairs rooms all being transformed. We didn’t have a massive budget (around 50k) but Dory has supported us to use it in the areas that needed it most. Dory listened to our needs, likes and the design concepts included everything we discussed including great furniture and soft furnishing recommendations that we wouldn’t have found ourselves without hours spent trawling the internet. The other great thing about working with Moodesignz is the project management and the great trades people that are recommended and fantastic project management by Julia. The finish has been great we are so pleased.

Dorota was really pleasant to work with and understood what we wanted right away. She's friendly, communicative and very patient. She also has fantastic ideas and her changes to the layout of our living room really transformed the space. We renovated three rooms (a snug, living/dining room and home office) and couldn't be happier with the end result. I would highly recommend her services!

Dorota has been absolutely brilliant with my extension and refurbishment. She helped me design the extension, the kitchen and completely re-organising the floor layout. She also provided mood boards for each room with loads of amazing items in it. Even with the challenges of lockdown, she has managed the whole project brilliantly - always on hand by phone or message to give me ideas, send me samples or help me think thru colour schemes. At first, I wondered if I was being too bold with colours and pieces of furniture, but I learned to completely trust Dorota’s judgement and eye for colour, and she knew exactly what look I was going for and was able to select brilliant statement pieces. We had a great experience, from the very first meeting to the final touches. A friendly, efficient and professional service throughout with excellent communication in spite of the challenges of lockdown. After our initial brief to redesign our living space, Dorota came back with 3D designs with furniture/ furnishings on an interactive mood board which we could amend and add to as needed. She sourced and project managed the various workmen needed to complete the project- carpenter, decorator, electrician and plumber. We are very happy with the end result and would warmly recommend!

I would highly recommend Dorota from Moodesignz! She has now helped us with two projects in our house, each time bringing inspiration and fantastic design. Our most recent project was designing the living area which incorporated the kitchen, dining room and living area. We loved the ideas that she came up with and she really helped us to think differently and push ourselves to make bolder and much better decisions! Dorota has been an absolute pleasure to work with on our house renovation. Fantastic designs. Fantastic style. Fantastic person to work with. We have nothing but good experiences with Moodesignz. Hence, we have used this company for various projects over the last few years including a pool building, annex and main home improvements. Dory very quickly supplied us with ideas/ samples/suggestions that we loved and were very much our style but would never have thought of ourselves. Hiring Dory to help us with our newly extended home was the best thing I have ever done - My partner and I were a little sceptical about hiring an "Interior Designer" but any doubt we had instantly vanished upon meeting her- Dory is friendly, reliable, efficient and full of great ideas! She went above and beyond in everything we asked of her and met all of our unrealistic deadlines. Without Dory, our house would have been Magnolia coloured in every room - her eye for style and detail is second to none, she really took out of us comfort zone and helped us incorporate many new colour schemes and flooring styles to our home whilst ensuring it flowed throughout! I couldn't recommend Dory enough, she is amazing!!

We called D very late in the process of our build. Despite the late notice, D made herself available to help us immediately and was able to start providing ideas based on various photos that we had collated and sent. D provided us with ideas that we would not have thought of and really helped with getting a design that complimented all areas of the build. The build itself was a lower ground extension to an open plan living area and D provide ideas including lighting, furnishing, colours and also helped with recommendations for workmen. She has so many contacts and sourced us some items we specifically wanted (eg unusual tiles) that we would never have found ourselves. Delighted with all she has done. I must admit to being a little hesitant about the concept of using an interior designer in the beginning, wondering whether it might be a lazy option? However, Dorota soon made me realise that these reservations were a nonsense! We enlisted her services to help us create a vision for our lounge (having spent 2 years in the “what should we do with this space?” stage). She listened carefully to the ideas that we did have and was sympathetic to these ideas, whilst encouraging us to be brave and move a little out of our comfort zone. Thank Goodness we did as we love the look of our new lounge and have learnt lots from her in the process. Bearing in mind this has been a relatively small project for Dorota, she has always been extremely responsive and committed, demonstrated by the fact that she has met us in town at a weekend to try out sofas and has visited the house on numerous occasions to check current progress. I can not recommend Dorota highly enough - excellent value for money, very professional, friendly and skilled at what she does.

We had a side and back extension built to our Victorian semi-detached home in one of St Albans’ conservation areas and had the opportunity to update the whole house as part of the project. We called in Dory to create a consistent look for our home and to make some of the big decisions like flooring materials and colours fast and with confidence. Dory was so lovely as well as professional to work with. She listened to our likes and wishes and developed a plan that looks so “us”, although we would never have achieved it by ourselves. She was also very flexible and came up with alternative, creative ideas, when some details needed to change mid-flight. I would happily recommend Dory for big and small projects!

I hired the services of Moodesignz after a friends recommendation. Dory came for a consultation to discuss options for our 3 rooms which involved changing the use of 2 of them. I got 3D views and mood boards with plenty of product suggestions! Often with us picking the first item recommended. Overall the rooms flow together nicely and we have received many many complements on the design. It's like it fits your house style nicely so you feel you could have come up with it as not out there but in reality of course you couldn't that's why you hired Dory! Fully recommend.
