I asked New Fresh Homes for a rough estimate to put an addition on my house. I gave him blueprints of what I wanted that I had paid for. He gave me a range between $180K and $240K with the higher being all top end everything. Since I didn't want top end, I assumed my cost would be somewhere in the middle. Nazar insisted on a down payment of $2800 (80 hours at $35 an hour) before he would do a detailed estimate. I had reservations but agreed to pay this. A few months later he came out with an estimate of over $245K, $5000 more than the top end of the range, and appliances and driveway weren't even included. When I questioned him about this, he said he did the rough estimate based on our original discussion and not the blueprints I gave him, saying he got the blueprints after the rough estimate. I showed him the email where he based it on the blueprints, and he changed the story to say the price of lumber increased. ($40K?). I never would have agreed to hire him if I knew the cost would be that high and he gave me a more reliable initial estimate range. He refuses to give me a refund of the down payment of $2800 because he spent the time building the estimate.

Recently had to call Nazar with some issues with my build-in oven cabinet. Responded right away, fixed our problem. Thank you so much, did a great job A+++++! Highly recommending.

After having an extremely stressful fight with my insurance company Mike and Tom stepped in and provided excellent service and professionalism throughout the project. They made the stressful situation much more manageable. The project was completed within the set timeframe and within the allotted/agreed upon budget. We were able to successfully negotiate items within the project with both parties being happy with the outcome. The finished product turned out terrific. I'm happy to be back in the house and am glad that I chose ML Murdy for the project.

Mike and Tom worked with us for several months to help design and finish our basement. They are honest and dependable, which is hard to come by when dealing with contractors. Their subcontractors were also reliable and solved unexpected issues we faced. We had a delay in getting cabinets from a vendor but Mike acknowledged the problem and created a better process because of it. They stuck to the budget and coordinated all the vendors so we could focus on the end result. The basement is the best part of our house and we enjoy it daily.

I gave Michael of ML Murdy Company, LLC full control in the renovation of my very old, out dated kitchen. This included electrical, plumbing, floors, walls, ceiling, lighting along with all appliances and fixtures, cabinetry and countertops. Michael coordinated everything amazingly and there was absolutely no down time waiting for anything. My kitchen is better than I had imagined and the construction was almost painless. Michael will be doing any and all future work for me.

The honesty and integrity was out standing. The job followed step by step as was planned. The subs did a nice job and some went beyond what I expected. I would highly recommend them. They were helpful and creative ,perhaps better than our designer to make it all work. They left the job site clean and move in ready.

We got referred to ML Murdy by our designers. They did the entire upstairs which included 2 baths, and 3 bedrooms. There were delays and overages but the work did get done. We worked with Tom-he returned every text message or phone call timely and the work was very good. Renovation are very stressful and costly. Tom always reassured us and helped to resolve any issues and offered great advice when needed. We hope to be able to use them again soon.

ML Murdy worked very hard to make sure we were happy with our two bathroom remodels. All of the subcontractors were top quality. They were neat and timely. I would definitely hire this company again.

when I had a house fire mike from ML Murdy took care of everything, including dealing with the insurance companies. His workers were very courteous did an execellent job restoring my house to better than new condition. We even got a few extras from Mike , that we had not planed on. It"s nice to see a contractor take pride in what they do nowadays.

Very happy with work done in 2013 on second floor of house built in the early 1900's. Crew was respectful of the property and the fact that we lived in the house while under construction. We decided to rehire M L Murdy in 2017 for kitchen and living room remodel. Design plans are impressive, and utilization of space is maximized. Team is responsive to customer's needs, and communication is easy. We highly recommend this company!
