As an interior designer I use Miko + Boone as a resource for furniture, rugs and other accessories. I enjoy their designer events to learn about new interior design products. My husband and I interviewed a couple of designers to decorate our living room and front office. We had never worked with a professional designer before, so this was going to be our “training wheels” into the interior design world. We immediately felt a bond and appreciation for Amy Ferrer of Miko + Boone and hired her on the spot. It was a fantastic decision. We entertain often and have received countless compliments. We just moved to an 18 year old home that is lovely but needed some work. We chose Amy and Erin because we loved the online photos of their past design projects. Even before we closed on the house, they came to our last house and then to the new one to measure and take photos of the furniture, most of which we wanted to use again. They then created a 3-D space plan for all of the furniture that could be used and told us what furniture would not fit in the new house (we moved to a ranch home which required some downsizing). This space plan proved invaluable to us and to our movers on moving day. Also, we had the painting and built-in shelves completed prior to moving in. Amy and Erin recommended the paint colors based on the furniture we were keeping and we could not be more pleased. Finally, after we were (mostly) unpacked, they came out to our house and accessorized with our belongings. We have a huge family (5 children and 15 grands), so we have a lot of "stuff"--much of which is very sentimental to us. Amy and Erin were very respectful of our taste and priorities and were successful in creating a beautiful and elegant, but also warm, home for our family to enjoy. Amy and Erin did a fantastic job at our house. The final product looks like a showroom. They helped us throughout a remodel process, which included picking out furniture, wall coverings, light fixtures, tile, rugs, flooring, and more.
