I appreciated the transparency in their pricing and the ability to stay within my budget. My experience with Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes was outstanding.

We had 2.5 bathrooms remodeled in 2018. I was initially angry because (it appeared they had signed more contracts than they could handle in time) the work took considerably longer than we had agreed upon. However, after it was finally done I was exceedingly happy with the quality and can recommend. Two other points worth mentioning: (1) we got really good and well-informed help at every stage of designing the bathrooms, and it was not a trivial design - each BR had its own and very distinct style, - nor did we feel any pressure to settle for cheaper options, even though we paid a lump some and more expensive materials meant less profit for them. (2) They promised life warranty, and I was not taking it very seriously. But, they did come promptly every time we had an issue (three of four in seven years), and did fix everything for free. Oh, and they actually gave us a few thousands back (on a $70 K project) because of undue (and serious) delays. Disclaimer: I am writing this review because MN suggested me to be part of their customer loyalty program, and writing a review here was a condition. But, I can assure you that I am writing it in all honesty and it exactly reflects my personal experience.

We just completed our addition (sun room buildout + deck) with Michael Nash and are in love! We dreamed of one day being able to do this with our home, and they were able to make it a reality. We are so excited to entertain this summer with the new bar & pizza oven. The vision of the team blew us away and the entire project stayed on budget. We will be recommending to whomever is looking to do their next home remodeling project.

Revising previous review. Work has now been mostly completed so I am updating my prior comments on this contractor.

We had small building in big lot in Mclean Langley . We called them and arranged virtual meeting with Sonny. In 30 minutes meeting he gave ideas which were totally unique and different. Before them I called six more companies And individual contractors. So I previously had gotten four estimate from them, but based on what they offered their price was so competitive. I used Michael Nash company to add an addition in one side of the house to extend basement, garage and second floor. By this addition we extended our basement 2 times and built a nice bar and fitness room and fireplace there . Also in main floor we extended our garage and extended and remodeled our kitchen, built a nice mod room and modern laundry room including nice cabinets and big and special vanity,added master bedroom for my parents and in second floor we totally remodeled our 3 bedrooms for my 3 teenage kids , and added one master bedroom and one master bathroom . I love this new bathroom specially because we have sauna and jacuzzi in there. They added screen in our existing porch, repaired my sagging ceiling on the porch, added fire place and small bar area by extending of our existing porch. Every single detail including size, materials … discussed and specified in our job specifications . Sonny is one of the nicest people I have met and is not your typical contractor. He really amazed me by his perfection. He scanned my house with his eyes and quickly gave me the options based on county rolls and structure of the house . I would recommend Michael Nash to my friends and anyone that needs personal work done. They are fair and do wonderful work. I am very pleased with the work of Michael nash and could not be happier more than this. I have 2 additional jobs with them , My Parents house and my sister in-law ‘s house . that they scheduled to start on October . We did a complete remodel on a 1928 house to extend it 3 times , house located Mclean Cherchil road street Fair fax Virginia , we trusted Michael nash Design and build with the project. They knocked it out of the park. They are a fantastic contractor and prepare for what ever you are expecting to have luxury home- they were quick to come by for an estimate, and gave us very competitive pricing. We appreciated Sonny 's transparency as well. Unlike a lot of companies that ask you to pay $2-3k for them to draw up some plans before even giving you quotes for a scope of work, sonny had a detailed breakdown of costs in our hands for every element of the project and we could compare and understand every single part with specific price within a week of his visit to the property by their designers Marji and Sam.

About the job itself - MN's core crew of builders are incredibly professional and do great work. we know some of them work for Michael nash for more than 25 years like Martin, cordoba , chon, him … . And all the employees they uses for framing, roofing, tile, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing and electric are top of class. We had lots of people from different trades coming and going from the property during renovations, and people from other trades would comment on the quality of the drywall work, the plaster, the tile, etc. I can't stress enough the craftsmanship these people brought to the job, and they did a gorgeous job incorporating the historical details and architecture of our house with the new modern elements. Finally, every time we had questions about any part of the process, Mike was available by phone or text to guide us through any concerns, from design to construction to permitting, and he stopped by the property to check on the work and review progress with us and listened to our concerns and took care of . His years of experience are evident.

Finally: Sonny’ s team got this job done in record time, and when he promised us five months to completion, he came through. The project did go a little longer than initially quoted, but that's because we added a few extras onto the project after seeing what a nice job his team was doing.

We wouldn't hesitate to use Michael Nash again - and would wholeheartedly recommend hiring them for your job. You'll be in good hands.

Michael Nash did a complete redesign and build of our home in McLean, VA, including bathrooms, kitchen and living spaces. Oliver Nazemian is a gifted designer who delivered us outstanding new living spaces and the quality of the work by the company was outstanding.

Love my new Kitchen We contracted with Michael Nash and are extremely happy with the quality of the work they performed remodeling. Several friends had recommended Michael Nash to me. Sonny & Sam visited our home at the beginning to estimate what it would take to transform our kitchen into the showpiece it is now. We worked with Oliver, one of their designers.The planning/choices could have been overwhelming, but I truly had my hand held all along the way! He was patient & opinionated and he adapted his ideas as he discovered our tastes. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic that affected the entire supply chain in the industry (cabinets, appliances, furniture, etc.), they started our renovation a few weeks later than the original estimate, but completed the work in a timely manner, and kept their word. Every person that entered the house was a friendly, knowledgeable, skilled, and polite employee, and not a disinterested individual contractor. They did their work carefully and cleaned the worksite every day upon leaving. In the end, our kitchen is everything we could have wanted and more! We could not have envisioned a better end result.

Primary Bathroom Remodel This was a long process, as one would expect, but the experience and professionalism of Michael Nash made our bathroom come to life! We were so pleased with the design consultation and working with us to find the right pieces we wanted. The quality of the work was great and we passed inspection the first time and have had no issues with the function of the products or any issues with the quality of the materials. Given that our work took place during the pandemic we did have supply chain and personnel issues, but Michael Nash was very responsive and made us feel like we were a priority. Overall, dealing with contractors and renovations can be a headache but we have a bathroom that we love, looks great and was done right the first time. Michael Nash's experience really shows.

At least 10 years ago, Michael Nash Design Build renovated the lower level in our home and added an ensuite bath to an upstairs guest room. That bath includes a stone shower stall with glass sliding doors. Recently one of the glass doors stuck to the other (in the open position) after a guest used the shower. We were hesitant to try and separate the two doors ourselves because of the risk that at least one of the doors would shatter. We didn’t know who to call. We decided to contact Michael Nash and ask if they could possibly help. They immediately responded that “of course” they would! A short time later, one of the doors was replaced. The shower doors now work perfectly, just in time for a guest to use that bath over the Thanksgiving holiday. We fully expected to pay for this service – but we were not charged anything. We so appreciate this example of the company’s loyalty to its customers even 10 years on! Thank you again, Michael Nash!

I based this reference on the totality of my experiences from my first contact with Sonny Nazemian in 2014 to the 2022 contact I had last week with his Customer Service office. Namely, after 8 years of enjoyment of the completed remodeling job, I called Sonny’s Customer Service about peeling on the kitchen cabinet foot kicks. I got a call back and visit from Mike Mahdavi who told me that he would send someone out to fix it! The quality of the work and the commitment to customer service makes Michael Nash a world class remodeling company.

I hired Michael Nash Design, Build and Homes to do a complete kitchen remodel and the project went very well. We had particular sensitivity to schedule due to a disabled individual in the household and Michael Nash came up with an accelerated schedule and made it happen. They were very responsive to requests for changes and they made it easy to select all the materials (cabinets, appliances, countertop, finishes, etc.). Our neighbors, who were very pleased with their kitchen remodel, referred us to Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes. Our home in Arlington is a 1964 split level, with a narrow doorway to the kitchen at the top of the entrance stairway. Our kitchen project was a total tear-out and rebuild. We expanded the doorway with double French doors, added wood floors, all new appliances, new sliding glass doors to the outside patio, high-end cabinets, quartz countertops, and beautiful Portuguese tiles. We added a peninsula with quartz countertop and partial overlay of walnut butcher block with six bar stools. The kitchen is beautiful, and we are thrilled with the results. Sonny and Oliver made the kitchen design process easy with their many years of construction and interior design experience. Oliver was our project manager, and he was fantastic to work with. The many workers over the months checked with me on everything – Edwin, the electrician, on where to place the light switches, Cordova, the carpenter, on the cabinet installation and shape we wanted for the walnut butcher block bar counter, and Sebastian on paint colors. And especially Mike, the finisher (as I call him) – helping us finalize all remaining requests in completing the job. My wife and I contracted with Michael Nash for two projects. The first was a living room remodel and the second and most expansive was the design and construction of an outdoor living space. (Needless to say we returned to Michael Nash for the second project, the outdoor living room area because we were so pleased with the first project). Michael Nash designed a beautiful outdoor living area and when we settled on the design and work was about to commence Covid presented some immediate challenges. Despite the challenges, Nash began the construction after a minor delay and worked observing all the covid protocols. During construction, the crew was courteous, punctual and most importantly knowledgeable and professional. Suggestions were made as we proceeded which enhanced the final product. Working with Sonny was an experience I have never found with working with any contractor. A professional, genuinely kind individual, he was a pleasure to work with at every step. We are very happy with the complete kitchen remodeling and major bedroom and bath remodeling accomplished by Michael Nash Co. When our 44-year-old electric range stopped working prior to the start of remodeling, the Nash Co. lent us a range at no cost. In our master bedroom suite, the company agreed to our late request to install overhead lighting where originally there was none.

Michael Nash remodeled our kitchen in 2016 and our master bath in 2017/2018. Our kitchen remodel won a regional award from National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). It is now 2022 and we are pleased with the quality of warranty service offered after the renovations were completed. The quality of materials that were used in the renovation have held up well and led to few issues. When issues have come up (such as a recent problem with a drain vent that started making a funny noise) the Michael Nash team was responsive and they quickly replaced the part. A couple of years ago we also had an issue with the power to the cooktop suddenly going out (this was 3 or 4 years after the renovation), and Michael Nash came out quickly to diagnose and resolve the issue. We have been impressed with how knowledgeable the technicians have been, and both our kitchen and master bath still look beautiful.

I had great experience with Michael Nash design and build for my custom new home although it took longer than expected. They provide a full range of services including a Strong design and construction team. Michael Nash has own design architect and interior designer . This saves you a lot of hassle and a lot of time during the construction period. For a price advantage for custom new home customers without hassle and prices are very reasonable compared to outer builders who asking for sky- high prices. Michael Nash provide three packages to new custom home customers 1) Economy home package for budgeting customer 2)Dream home package for Desired home customers 3) Premium and Luxury package for providing ultimately design concept and building material. I chose the premium package.. the advantage of this one is that you can choose the configuration design and material you want without hassle Sonny is CEO & FOUNDER and soul of Michael & Nash .As long as you tell him your own design ideas. He will draw plans for you through his own in-house architect. Another advantage is that they have their own 75 employees to do all the work. so the quality is guaranteed for consumers. but many other builders hired subcontractors . although the speed is faster. The quality can only depend on GOD. I will also introduce the main employees of Michael Nash because you will be in contact if you are going to hire them for your project. I am deeply impressed by them . because they have a kind heart and smile every time and sincerely help you complete your projects Shawn as General Manager for coordinator between you and company for schedule for your project. We had a kitchen that hadn’t been updated since the 1980s and needed a lot of work. Sonny came to the house to get the layout, listened to our amateur ideas, and came up with a plan for the remodel that included removing a wall to open up the whole floor plan (we didn’t even think that was an option). We worked with Tony on all the design elements and talked about options that were super trendy and those that were more timeless. He was excellent at illustrating how the whole thing would come together. We had our share of project delays and to be fair, they got out of hand. Sonny came back to the house to get a handle on the situation and to get the schedule back on track. He turned the project over to a different foreman and things progressed rapidly from there. Once the work was done, Sonny came back to make sure we were pleased with the work that was done (we were VERY happy with the new kitchen), to apologize for the delays that occurred, and offer to try and make things right on a future project. In 2021, during the COVID pandemic, we found ourselves needing to remodel our master bathroom. Sonny came out and explained what he was able to do with the cost of that project to try and make up to us the delays from the kitchen. We again worked with Tony on design. He was awesome again! This time, the project was completed right on time. We had to stick with the basic floorplan in the bathroom, but upgraded to a walk-in shower, double vanity, and heated floors – morning showers this past winter were much cozier than in years past!! We had a great experience with the Michael Nash team the second time around and will definitely call them for future projects!

Hired Michael Nash for a master bath remodel. We agree to the design and cost and then COVID hit. Although there were some supply chain issues, the Nash team was able to keep the costs as we agree. The team sent several folks to do as much of the project as possible while we waited for the materials to arrive. Mike Mahdavi was the last project manager that was able to complete the project to our satisfaction.

I know the business for several years and they have build and remodel our house in Vienna. I always found them professional and supportive. The Owners are very friendly, one can talk to them with ease. The Service Manager - Mike responds to help and schedules the repairs with in few days. I would certainly recommend them for small or a big job. For us they not only rebuild the Kitchen/bath but added a living quarter.

Several years ago, Michael Nash renovated our master bath. They did a beautiful job and I love it. I thought we had a leak and I contacted them to come out and check. Mike took great care of us. He sent a service person right away, they did a thorough investigation, including cutting a hole in my wall. There wasn't a leak but they then came back to repair the damage - the hole was filled and the wall was repainted. Mike was extremely responsive and the work was accomplished quickly and professionally. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I are very happy with the addition and renovation work that the Michael Nash team completed for us in 2017. Even after being back in our home for almost 6 years Shawn and all the folks at Michael Nash are continually engaged in making sure the renovation work meets the satisfaction for both me and my wife. We had a roof issue that popped up several years after the completion of the project and Shawn was quick to address and resolve the issue.

Michael Nash remodeled my kitchen and added 2 new bathrooms. They did a masterful job and came in on budget. The project was part of a major renovation and won an award for excellence. The designers were excellent, adapting the design to our tastes. They listen, not impose. They also kept within the budget which is rare for builders. They are committed to customer satisfaction. Years after the conclusion of the project they came out to repair my roof at no cost and later fixed a problem with my jacuzzi again at no cost. I was so happy with the experience that I arranged for them to do work at another property, adding a new bathroom and remodeling another bath there. I look forward to working with them again.

It took a long time and took place over a time that included the pandemic, but Michael-Nash did an extensive renovation on my house in Great Falls. It was far more than a kitchen renovation and master bathroom renovation. The team installed wood floors in the kitchen area to match the floors downstairs, redid the floors throughout the entire downstairs, replaced the old upstairs carpeting with flooring in all the bedrooms, remade the stairs with wood planks that match the downstairs floors, and installed new appliances, all according to a design that seriously upgraded a 40-year-old house. The work was of very high quality, requiring new wiring, GFCIs, plumbing, new venting, all of which easily passed inspection. Included much dry wall work and a new ceiling in the family room. We are now enjoying our upgraded home, modern kitchen, luxury master bathroom, and beautiful floors. Thanks to all the workers, who were professional, courteous, and dedicated. Patience. He was always there for any questions I had and would come by the house to check to make sure things were getting done. Tony did an excellent job helping us design and pick out all the items for the kitchen. He was very helpful in assisting and working with us to design a beautiful, luxurious kitchen and we are extremely pleased with the results. Dinaldo did an excellent job installing all the cabinets and remodeling the kitchen. We are very satisfied with the quality workmanship we received from Michael Nash. It is such a pleasure to deal with smart, hard-working individuals who are motivated to get the job done right. The price was very competitive and I really liked that it was a one stop shop. We didn’t have to go to any other places to pick out cabinets, tile, hardware, etc. The design center was amazing. We love our kitchen – it is highly functional and the quality of materials and workmanship is excellent.

Our renovation with Michael Nash consisted of a complete kitchen, wet bar, laundry room and powder room remodel. In addition, we had our flooring (for most of the first floor) replaced, two-story brick fireplace replaced with rock veneer, carpeted steps and second-floor bridge replaced with hardwoods, and replacement of all railings on both floors. Little did we know, when we originally contracted for this job that the Covid pandemic would create the monumental, never before experienced supply chain and resource issues, that continue to plague and disrupt the industry to this date. We just recently moved into our new dream house (April 14, 2021), we spent a couple of months and visited over 40 houses, all of the sudden we came across this house. At first glance the kitchen with contemporary style was stunning and that was the main drive to hunt this house! Everything is made with the highest quality with the high-end appliances. Michael Nash had done our Kitchen Remodeling 5 years back. Now, we needed to replace our Combination Wall Oven with a new one that needed the Cabinet openings to be adjusted. We had a major function at home coming up and desparately needed to get this done in a very short time and neatly. The first project we did with Michael Nash is remodeling our kitchen. The project involved eliminating a large pantry and moving a wall between the kitchen and the living room. All the appliances, except for the dishwasher, had to be relocated. They provided us with a practical, efficient design and helped us with the choice of colors for the cabinets and tiles. Several years later we decided to have Michael Nash remodel the master bath. In both cases, the job was done with quality materials and workmanship and we liked the end result. We also like the fact that the price is fixed and all-inclusive, and that they will come back to fix any adjustments that need to be made. We just decided to have them redo our guest bathroom. As a longtime resident of Franklin Farm in Herndon I have used the services of the Michael Nash company for several remodeling projects. Over the past 13 years Michael Nash has completely remodeled the kitchen and all three bathrooms in my home. I always found the staff especially helpful in the planning process, providing advice on selections and helping to coordinate design choices. The supervisor and crew were experienced and courteous when in my home. Most importantly, I was always satisfied with the final results. I recently discovered a leaky pipe in my kitchen ceiling, which damaged part of the cabinets. Since the cabinets were installed by Michael Nash in 2012, I contacted them for advice on how to handle the problem. To my surprise Martin remembered me and the work done in my home. After explaining my problem with the leak, he offered to send a supervisor Fred to assess the damage and arrange for the necessary repairs. Fred contacted us immediately and came to the house to personally inspect the damage. At his direction, a technician came at the first available time and repaired the leak. It is a relief to know that matching material will be used to replace the damaged section. I am very appreciative of the prompt customer service provided to resolve this unexpected problem.

As the famous quote goes—"Great things come out of patience”. Yes, our project took a very long time—just as construction was about to begin, the pandemic hit. Yes, there were so many delays, I was left wondering if the project would ever come to fruition. I’m certain I didn’t make Sonny Nazemian’s top list of congenial clients as I had my moments with four letter words. All that said, it was well worth the wait. Once the project was in the second phase, the Michael Nash crew worked like an army of ants to get the job done. Mr. Him was outstanding—he had a solution for every stumbling block and change order. Sonny made all kinds of promises that early on sounded like one big pipe dream, but in the end, he fulfilled all my dreams with a dream basement. The fine craftmanship and exquisiteness of the space, which we now call the Luxury Level, goes far beyond our expectations. Every detail large and small is masterful in quality and beauty. Michael Nash Design build provides exceptional service and selection. They designed and built a 2,000 square foot addition and remodeled all the existing bathroom and kitchen in our house February 2021 and were on top of their game the entire way. I wanted marble from floor to ceiling in the bathrooms and gold fixture everywhere and they were more than accommodating. The Price was extremely reasonable given the high level of service expected and provided.

Last year we had a major water leak in our bathroom which needed to be gutted and rebuilt. We researched different companies and Michael Nash Design was highly recommended and came out on top. We met with Sonny, the owner, who provided us a design that gave us a layout that more efficiently utilized our existing space. He added a large Jacuzzi tub, heated floors, steam shower, floor to ceiling glass enclosure, Toto toilet, towel warmer, new windows, body spay shower, wifi digital display shower controller, dressing table, TV, his and her sinks, and much more. Although the project took longer than expected due to COVID complications, it was well worth the wait and we couldn’t be happier with the final product. The workmanship is excellent and the workers were very professional and flexible. We were able to make changes on the fly with no additional charges. My wife and I are very happy with the final result and would highly recommend them.

We contracted with Michael Nash to do a major renovation of our kitchen and first floor when we bought our house. Sonny did a great job helping us decide on what we should do. Our experience with Michael Nash has been outstanding! We hired them to build a wrap-around front porch and patio. From the outset, we found the team to be friendly, capable, and professional. The craftsmanship of the front porch is of a high caliber and the patio came out very nicely as well. Michael Nash was the 2020 NARI Capital COTY Grand Award Winner for the work they did on our home so that speaks for itself. We did experience some delays during the project but we'll chalk that up to them being a busy company. The wait was well worth it and we're thrilled with the results. This company does not nickel and dime you and we didn't have to ever revisit the contract again which was a big relief. As with any project, especially this size, I highly recommend that you stay very involved in picking colors, styles, etc., so that both parties are on the same page and you are happy with the end results. I did not leave a rating when our kitchen and family room were completely remodeled in 2009. I loved the results, but like all major protects some speed bumps were encountered along the way, and I was happy it was complete and ready to move on. Fast forward 11 years and one of the kitchen cabinet door's melamine coating started to peel away from the substrate. I phoned Michael Nash to see if I could find out the name of the cabinet maker so I would source a replacement. Michael Nash sent out Fred, their customer service supervisor, to evaluate the cabinet and he asked if there was anything else that needed attention. He informed me that all would be repaired under their customer loyalty program. I was blown away. Their slogan line is "The Ultimate in Luxury." Taking care of a customer after 11 years is the ultimate in luxury. Thank you, Michael Nash.

We contracted with Michael Nash for remodeling our kitchen. Sonny the CEO came and performed the initial estimate of our job telling us that everything with the four corners of our room would be included in our design/ build. We worked with Tony a skilled and patient Michael Nash designer. we started in February 2019 with the design work and after a myriad of details and decisions and selections later, signed our construction contract in June. It took US along time to pick out every tiny detail of our cabinets, handles, flooring, appliances, countertops, lighting fixtures and so many other details. Tony stayed patient with us throughout this process-- a wonderful gentleman. Once construction began Michael Nash's expert construction employees tore our kitchen down to the studs and sub-floors and began building the new design. There were some major structural improvements needed to open up our kitchen area to the rest of the house and lake views. The workers were skilled, professional, friendly and polite. They did their work, cleaned up every day and kept the rest of the house from getting dirty. Michael Nash met their promises to us. They included everything we asked for the kitchen area - no hesitation. We were completed before Christmas Day and perhaps although we could have wished for more construction days each week they made continuous progress and completed this wonderful kitchen for us.

We love our Michael Nash renovation! We felt like we were in good hands from the very first visit from Sonny to our house to discuss what we wanted. His many decades of experience were on display as he asked tons of great questions about our needs and the habits of our bustling household of five. He confidently explained his vision for what our remodel could be, and we enthusiastically signed on to get started. Then came the design experience with Tony which was everything you would expect and more from a high-end design firm. He was patient (we spent more than eight hours in the showroom over several weeks), he was opinionated but not pushy, and he quickly adapted his ideas and suggestions as he discovered our tastes and style. The all-in pricing was also a tremendously positive part of our experience, because it meant that we could pick the options, finishes, hardware, lights, etc. without having to worry about every little incremental cost. The whole process was so easy, in fact, that we kept finding ways to add scope to our project as we were designing it. Fast-forward to the end, and what started out as a kitchen makeover ended up as a new kitchen, new hardwood floors on the main level, new overhead lighting, a new mudroom, a renovated first floor powder room, and our laundry room relocated upstairs to be closer to the bedrooms! When it came to the additional scope, Michael Nash never pushed us for any of it and we always found their prices to be very reasonable. The fact that as our project moved forward we wanted to do MORE work with Michael Nash than we started out wanting is a testament to how confident we were in the quality of the result we were going to get. Of course, no major home project is without its little bumps along the way, and ours was no exception. There were some unfortunate delays between signing the contract and our project starting, and the scope we added resulted in a considerably longer timeline to get everything completed. A bright spot amidst these frustrations, however, was that our project manager Shawn always answered the phone when I called to ask questions or express concern and always came to our house when I wanted to review something or talk something over face-to-face. I also want to highlight the skill and professionalism of the Michael Nash employees who did the work. We found them to be extremely knowledgeable and courteous. They kept the site clean and tidy (which was very important to us, since our remodel was in a very central location) each and every day when they finished up. From the painters to the electricians to the plumbers and floor installers, it was clear that we were dealing with real industry experts which added to our comfort level. Finally, the story of our experience wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Fred, who is in charge of customer satisfaction after the job is complete. Like any big job, there are always going to be little things that go wrong or that you aren’t completely happy with but don’t notice until later, and that’s where Fred comes in. In the nearly one year since our project finished, Fred has answered our calls and emails on those few occasions when we’ve needed his help, and he has gone the extra mile to make sure we feel supported by Michael Nash well after they got their last payment and the work was complete. This is a rare thing in the world of contracting, and Michael Nash does it better than anyone we’ve ever worked with.

The finished product of our kitchen and main floor flooring is beautiful. We love all the finishes and quality lighting, the under the counter and in the glass door lighting makes it extra special. The stairs and gas fireplace insert were welcome add ons; quality work! The workers were always pleasant, very efficient and cleaned up very well each evening. We had very few items on our punch list and they’ve all been fixed in a short period of time. The Project Manager stayed in touch with the weekly schedule and was always available for our calls. We stopped by Michael Nash after reading some reviews on line and were immediately impressed with Sonny’s willingness to sit down and listen to what we wanted to do and then walk us through he company’s process. We were looking for a company to build an addition over our garage, and while we had experience doing home improvements, we were novices in building additions. One of our absolute favorite benefits was that at Michael Nash, they had all of the functions that you would need to get your project done: architect, designer, general contractor, etc. Similarly, the Michael Nash showroom gives everything you need right there in one location. No need to run to separate places to look at individual components. When we redid our kitchen about 15 years ago, we went to one store for tile, one for flooring, another for counters, another for cabinets, another for lights, and still another for fixtures. With Michael Nash, their showroom has it all. The selection wasn’t as extensive, but it was plenty to get an expertly designed space that looks gorgeous. And honestly, sometimes, too many options is overwhelming. The pricing was competitive and at a fixed price, which meant no financial surprises as the work was completed. For example, at one point the inspector said we needed an extra support beam. Because of the fixed price, the work was done with no additional cost to us. We appreciated knowing what the budget was going to be without having to worry that one-off expenses that would pile up. One significant drawback was the completion time. We were initially quoted 3 months, but it took more than a year. Michael Nash provided us with a client advocate who was in regular contact with us and the company, which helped because getting the right person on the line at Michael Nash was sometimes more difficult than others. He kept us posted and moved things along, but it nonetheless took much longer than expected. We’ve never done an addition before, so we’re not sure if such timing delays are common within the industry, but it was frustrating. The Michael Nash team was committed to working with us and making sure we were more than satisfied with the finished product. They were patient with all our questions, engaged their staff (Sonny included) to make sure issues were resolved, and built a space our family and friends have enjoyed for years. After about five years of using the space, there were some cracks in seams we started to see. This does not seem to be because of shoddy work as much as a function of settlement. We called Michael Nash, and they came out to fix the cracks. Things are looking as good as new.

I hired Michael Nash in 2010 and 2013 for kitchen and bathroom renovations. They far exceeded my expectations. They improved the layout for all the areas and added space and light. We were thrilled with the results. The customer service and followup that we have received after the work were excellent as well.

Following a kitchen renovation that was completed by Michael Nash, we had an unrelated water leak in an upstairs bathroom, which leaked through to downstairs and damaged the kitchen ceiling. I called Michael Nash to ask if they could recommend a tradesman to fix the problem. They went one better, and sent their own tradesman at no cost, who arrived and fixed the problem within a couple of days! Since then, they have carried out warranty work to replace the back door, and replace a rotting fascia on our porch, all as part of their customer service.

Michael Nash fully renovated our entire Master Bathroom. They relocated our shower, moved our vanities, expanded two closets, built a spacious 2-person shower, installed a heated floor and chose quality, high-end finishes throughout the project. We are very happy customers and will continue to return to them for project after home project due to their quality workmanship and outstanding attention to detail. Sonny, Oliver, and Martin also provided superior customer service and support. The project took place in Spring/Summer, 2019 and additional completion work in the Fall of this year as well.

We signed a contract with Michael Nash in September 2018 for a full kitchen remodel and were given a project start date of November 2018. The project start date slipped for over six months and finally began in April 2019. In April we were given a milestone schedule and told installers would be at the house two days a week and the total kitchen remodel would take 13 weeks. This never happened. It has now been over seven months since the start date and we are still waiting for the kitchen to be completed. A final county inspection has not been done. There is no attention to detail or adherence to meet deadlines. In January 2019 we signed a change order for a new HVAC system. We were told to lock in the 2018 prices we would need to pay in full. It is now October 2019 and we’re still waiting for the system to be installed. A delay of over a year is unacceptable and any benefit we received for paying up front has now been diminished.

Michael Nash recently completed a renovation of our kitchen, dining room, and mud room. We started with a replacement of cabinets, countertops, and floors due to water damage, however Sonny was able to identify a larger vision of what our kitchen and dining room could be - while being mindful of our budget and providing the highest resale value. We received personalized service throughout our project from the initial consultation, to the design and product selection and construction, and finally with completion of the project. We are thrilled with the final product!

I first became aware of Michael Nash a few years ago When I saw some of their amazing renovations featured in the Elan Magazine. Recently I was forced to address some water issues with my master bedroom shower and bath tub. I decided to call Michael Nash. They came for an initial assessment to see what work would need to be done , and then an initial meeting with a consultant at their showroom was set up. Their facility is easy to access from Rt 29 in Fairfax and has ample parking. The showroom is amazing with many different rooms displaying hundreds of choices, including 2 wine cellars! Tony, my consultant, was very thorough in discussing the options available, and at my request was willing to meet with me several times as I made my final choices. Once I approved the design, features, color scheme, etc., I was assigned a project coordinator, Oliver, who managed the renovation work. I was very pleased with the communication during the project - whenever I had to leave a message, I always received a prompt return call or text, and he was very receptive to discussing any minor adjustments as the work progressed. The renovated bathroom met all my expectations and turned out as beautiful as the pictures I had seen in Elan. Once the work began, I decided to add the installation of a hardwood floor in the master bedroom, and it perfectly matches the existing hardwood in the bedroom foyer and adjacent room. Michael Nash re-modeled my master bath. It has by and far and away exceed my expectations! The process was seamless and easy—this was a big plus because I am a highly busy attorney and single mom to two small kids. Michael Nash has a huge showroom and I was able to design the bathroom in just one visit, which is unbelievably convenient and easy. The actual construction of the bath is flawless and the staff was very neat and orderly when in our home and the house was always cleaned up when we arrived home from our work and school days. While the project took over a month longer than anticipated, it was well worth the wait.

First and foremost, the guidance and expertise in the design creation and materials selection, the transformation between old and new, the quality of work performed, and the ultimate end product were exceptional, to say the least. As most any remodel experience goes, especially those involving layout redesign and removal of multiple load bearing walls with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical in them, there were many challenges. Challenges aside, Michael Nash was very professional and accommodating. When there were project delays that interfered with an important milestone party we were going to host, they compensated us for alternate plans we had to make. When the entire HVAC duct system had to be rerouted to the 3rd floor of our house, they took on this expense as part of their fixed price model, even when they technically might not have had to. All in all, I would definitely recommend this company, and would advise anyone new to the remodeling process for large/complex projects, that patience is a virtue which will reward you with a stunning and game changing space for your house/family.

I am a Senior Vice-President for a large federal government contractor in the area. I am also an attorney. I have two children and have lived in my home in Oakton, VA since 2001. My home was originally built in 1964 by the nephew of a prominent Washington Area commercial building contractor, LF Jennings. A major upgrade was accomplished in 1985 and I purchased in 2001. Frankly, I have never loved the master bedroom or the kitchen but I loved the location, the mature trees, beautiful landscaping, the pool, the horse barn and the fact that my home backs up to protected parkland and Difficult Run. I naively thought I would remodel within a year or two of moving in; however, life happened and I did not take the plunge until January 2018. I researched several contracting firms as advised to by the experts on HGTV. I must have collected 7-8 proposals and decided to go with Michael Nash, which incidentally was not the lowest bid. Frankly, it was Oliver Nazemian’s charm, attention to detail, professionalism, attire, reassuring demeanor and respect he paid to me. He advised that Michael Nash doesn’t start a project until they have a dedicated team ready to conclude. He also explained that the company oversees all the permitting and trades. He explained that they would be neat and tidy, respect our space and get the job done. That was great because I detest fits and starts and my home is my respite and I didn’t want to come home to construction trash, debris and fast food containers. Although this was our first remodeling project and I had heard horror stories about contractors, I relaxed since the workers who came took such care with our home from the beginning to the end. I appreciated the fact that I was able to call or email and always got a quick response from you. When the heated floor had a problem, someone came out within days to fix it. We have gotten so many compliments on it and I think it could be in a magazine! I hired Michael Nash to renovate the main floor of our 1940's cape, and I have no doubt that I hired the best in the biz! Our home looks fantastic! I interviewed 3 other design build firms, but Sonny is just the best. I was so impressed with how Sonny laid out a new concept for the main floor of our house - it included a new mudroom, re-located enlarged powder room, relocated dining room, and an open kitchen with an enormous island. Over the next few meetings I worked with a designer Oliver, Sonny, and other's on the team to solidify the details of the layout and pick materials. The design looked so elegant and simple on paper, but in fact this was a hugely complicate project. It required removing 4 load-bearing walls, moving ducts and vents, framing multiple new windows, and running all new plumbing, electric and gas throughout the main floor. Of all the great things, the best thing about dealing Michael Nash was the all-inclusive Classic package pricing with the range of high quality materials I could choose. They never penny pinched me. Oliver designed, re-designed, and tweaked the functional layout and selections for my new rooms until I was over-the-moon delighted. Each time I dreamed something up, MN updated the plan with no extra charge - it was so much fun and took a lot of the stress out of making selections. With appliances I needed guidance - Sonny helped me take advantage of a current promotion, so I ended up with top-of-the-line appliances including a "free" dishwasher, and a fancy microwave that's built into the island. All-in, I paid $16,000 for luxury, professional appliances, roughly equivalent to what I would have paid retail for mid-grade appliances. The two guys working here day-to-day were awesome. I'd get daily updates from them which I really appreciated. When unforeseen issues cropped up they made sure to deal with them properly. I really appreciated how the team treated my house with respect, and found long-term solutions to the problems we encountered. During project demolition, it became clear that I needed a new lower roof, new siding, and new windows throughout the main floor. I decided to do all of it. We also converted the wood-burning fireplace to gas, and installed new wrought iron railings on the staircase. Even with all the extra work, the project still wrapped up in the expected timeline. I can't stress enough the transformation. My whole house feels bigger even though we didn't add a single square foot. We have bright, connected rooms throughout the main floor, timeless, classic features that both enhance and preserve the character of the home while providing all the conveniences of modern living. I love my everything about my remodel thanks to MN, and am already thinking about my next project!

We used Michael Nash to do an extensive remodeling of our kitchen and create a new bathroom from a walk-in closet. Sonny & Oliver put together a design that met all our requirements and even gave suggestions that made best use of the space - ideas that we had not thought of. Their extensive showroom really helped us visualize the space and make selections. We were very happy with the quality of the materials used and the workmanship. They were open to making changes as the project progressed. For example, once the pendant lights were installed, we realized we didn't like them. Without charging us anything, Oliver worked with us to find replacements we liked. At the end of the project, Farshad worked with us on the punch list and made sure that all the items were completed to our satisfaction, no matter how many trips it took. While the project did end up taking much longer than we had anticipated, we were very happy with the end result!

Michael Nash renovated our kitchen this past year and it turned out great! They helped us bring our vision of a more functional and modern kitchen to life. Upon meeting with Sonny, we felt confident Michael Nash would have no problems taking down walls and reconfiguring the layout to better use the space. Oliver, our designer, walked us through every step of the design phase and offered suggestions and color schemes that had not been contemplated. One of our goals was to have an island for additional prep space and to have more seating which required removing a load-bearing wall. Michael Nash was able to do this as well as move a doorway to the adjacent dining room a few feet over so that the flow of traffic was more conducive to the new layout, which was their suggestion. They also offered to enlarge the window over the kitchen sink to balance out the design and let in more light. Our kitchen has become more social and a great place for entertaining. In addition, when we added the main level powder room to the scope of the project, Michael Nash was happy to accommodate despite their busy schedule. Sonny was responsive to our concerns regarding timely completion of the projects and ensured that they were given the appropriate level of attention. Should we consider another home renovation project, Michael Nash would be at the top of our list.

In 2017-2018 the Michael Nash team did a major renovation of our master bath, kitchen and the entire first floor of our home. We chose them because they had done a wonderful job with our neighbor's award-winning kitchen. The designers Oliver and Sepideh were wonderful. Using our favorite furniture as inspiration, they helped us select fixtures and finishes to reflect our taste and create a harmonious overall design. The engineering team’s expert solutions for structural supports and plumbing allowed us to remove an entire wall and significantly open up others in both the kitchen and bathroom. They cleverly figured out how to fit both a huge shower and a full bath tub into a modest space by making a negligible change to the adjacent closet. They even figured out a way to remove the hideous 1970s hearth we hated for 17 years but didn’t think could be changed. The new open concept floorplan is fresh, modern and ideal for day to day family life and gracious entertaining. The new and refinished flooring throughout the main level creates a soothing continuity. The new paint and light fixtures in the entry, powder room, living room and dining room extend the harmonious design of the kitchen throughout the house. This was a large, complex project but the quality of the workmanship is excellent. Of course, any major home renovation is difficult for the family living in the construction zone - especially when you're taking down walls. The team did try to ameliorate the endemic inconvenience. When our ancient kitchen spigot sprang a spewing leak while we were waiting for the construction to begin, they installed a temporary one. When our old dishwasher died its last death during the bathroom renovation, they arranged for our new one to be installed in the old kitchen temporarily. When the flooring contractor damaged some furniture, the owner and designer responded within minutes of our call and helped us organize a prompt repair. The beautiful, functional space we're now enjoying is well worth the renovation journey that got us here.

The kitchen is so beautiful (and fun to cook in) that I sometimes just walk through it to "oogle" at the finished product. The work was done during 2017. We did our contractor homework before signing a contract for remodeling. We learned in the research process that not all contractors provide the same complete package that was offered by Michael Nash. Sonny personally came to our home to discuss the project and view the rooms that were to be remodeled. He listened to our ideas and used his vast experience and education in the business to offer us some design trend ideas we had not even thought of before personally presenting us with an architectural plan. His design team then came again to measure and make sure we were all on the same page before work started. The selection process for materials was an important part of the package. The design team patiently walked us through the selection process using the samples and room recreations in their extensive showroom. (I am a touch/feel kind of person and this showroom allowed me to compare many materials and completed design projects.) During the build phase of our projects, Michael Nash provided employees that were expertly skilled in their areas of work. Our master bath team of craftsmen were committed to excellence in their work. They consulted with us along the way and expertly worked to turn the design into a glamorous product. The craftsman that did the tile work was a MASTER of the trade. The primary onsite employee for the kitchen make over (Cordova) was an “old world quality” craftsman who cared so much about detail and our happiness with the product that he and his team were a pleasure to work with. He worked with us patiently on all the details involved. Michael Nash provided what was represented: an excellent quality product for both master bathroom and kitchen, very professional employees (not subcontractors) and a feel of luxury while staying within the budget.

We had a very good experience working with Michael Nash in early 2018, for a full kitchen remodel. Sonny, the owner, came to our house for an estimate, and we were impressed with his vision for the kitchen. As opposed to other contractors who asked us what we wanted (and we didn't know), Sonny knew exactly how to design a proper kitchen. The design process, overall, was excellent. We worked with Oliver, who was knowledgeable, patient and opinionated in a good way without being overbearing. Nash offers a package price which includes your choice of everything in the showroom. We loved this aspect of working with Nash, as it made it very easy to make good design choices about the kitchen without being nickel-and-dimed for upgrades, as with other contractors. Even during the construction phase, Nash was willing to go beyond the standard job to do things right - one example included removing a brick wall in our sunroom that wasn't originally discussed, but was a much better way to hang cabinets there. The work quality was very good, and even though the job became larger than was originally planned, Michael Nash was agile enough to adapt. They’ve also been responsive in rectifying the minor issues that have arisen post-completion. Michael Nash Company has remodeled our house and brought a 1980’s house into the 21st century. Our bathrooms and kitchen have all been remodeled with careful attention to the tile work for which they company is famous. The cabinetry is all natural wood as are the floors. Our recreation room was built from the studs up and is a show stopper. Everything new, in addition to bedrooms, living room, and dining room has been repainted. After 15 years of wear and tear we have gotten a new disposal, a new kitchen faucet, and hinges have been replaced on the cabinets. The master bath has been re-grouted and looks brand new. All of the upkeep has been at no charge to us through the lifetime guarantee that we were given when the work was initially completed. The staff and workmen are all very professional and the work is carefully inspected for excellence. We would never have any other company work on our house. We have referred the company to other friends who have been as pleased as we are with their work. We are over the moon with the outcome of this project. This was a very large Kitchen project that included knocking walls down, moving windows, and making the Kitchen footprint 2x. I've seen plenty of jobs involving kitchen companies where you could tell the companies doing the work didn't have the skill set or knowledge to customize certain aspects of a kitchen. We had Michael Nash remodel our master bath 10 years ago and just love it but the best part is they really stand by their work. Even after all this time they will come out at no charge to fix things which is wonderful for me because neither my husband or I are handy. That along with our past positive experience made to sign a contract with Michael Nash to build us over 6000 sqft home which was completed in 2017 . although building this big home took them a little longer than we have anticipated, but the end result was absolutely outweigh the wait. They treaded us like family through out the process. From the president all the way down to lowest worker treaded us with utmost respect. Michael Nash has completed three renovation projects in our townhouse. Our home was starting to feel a little dated and it was time to upgrade from the “builder grade” materials used when the home was first constructed. We started with a major kitchen renovation that included removing a wall in order to create an open floor plan and converting the adjoining family room into an extension of the kitchen. We had them remodel a small powder room on the same floor as the kitchen and were amazed at how much glam Michael Nash could fit into such a small space. We followed those projects up with substantial renovations to our master bathroom. We are thrilled with the results and pleased that we have all the upgrades of a brand new home without having to leave the neighborhood that we love. We worked with Oliver as our designer on both projects. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, providing guidance on options and helping us visualize what our spaces could look like in the end. We were not in a rush to complete the designs and Oliver was very patient as we went through several concepts before landing on our final design. He took our ideas, many of them from Houzz and other online sites, and then improved upon them based on his years of design experience. The Nash showroom is filled with many examples of materials and styles that could fit with any home decor. The quality of products that Michael Nash carries is impressive and they allow customers to choose from many of the same name brands that you would find stores (such as Kohler, Moen, and Delta). But if you do not see what you are looking for then they are very accomodating in letting you choose from other vendors. For example, we were able to search through several lighting catalogs from major manufactures to find the kitchen lights that best fit with our design. Likewise, when we didn’t find just the right granite samples in the showroom, we were able to visit several local granite shops to explore other options. Michael Nash also works with a appliance wholesaler that supplies all the major brands of appliances and has an incredible selection. We shopped around online and in other retail stores and the prices they were able to offer were comparable to the best prices we found elsewhere. It was beneficial to buy the appliances through them because they dealt with scheduling all the deliveries so they arrived on the right days and we didn’t have to store them in our garage. Finally, given that we spent a good deal of time on the design of projects, it was wonderful that the showroom has a media room for the kids, where they could watch movies while we discussed design options. The fixed price approach of Michael Nash removed all the stress and anxiety of setting our budget for the projects. After getting quotes from other comparable companies in the area, Michael Nash offered a substantially lower bid -- especially for the quality of products and the comfort of a fixed price. We thought that the fixed price was especially important since we were removing a wall in order to extend our kitchen space, and Sonny (the CEO) assured us that if there were any structural challenges there would still be no changes to the price of the project. Fixed price also removed any “nickel-and-diming” during the project. If we decided to add a cabinet to the design, or change the style of tile, there were never any changes to the price. The Michael Nash construction crews were always very nice and professional. Our kids really enjoyed watching them work, and they always interacted with our family in a very professional way. Luis, the lead on our kitchen project, was especially wonderful with kids -- taking time even at the end of a long day to tell them about the different pipes, wires, and tools that they would see during the renovation. Luis also asked many questions throughout the project to ensure that we were happy with the final product. For example, he would ask about the placement of light switches and outlets. And if we asked for any changes, they would quickly make the changes and never complain. After talking with the engineer from Nash, we were also very confident with the structural changes being made for our project. The construction crews were skilled at taking our ideas and making them a reality. For instance, we had a rough drawing of what we wanted for valances to cover the powered solar shades on the East-facing windows in the kitchen, and the team built custom valances that blend perfectly into the design. Sonny, the CEO, came out to our house several times during the projects to check on the progress and make sure that we were happy. It is clear that, for Michael Nash, customer satisfaction with the end project is always most important. Our kitchen has already won a regional award from National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and we look forward to learning if the bathroom will also win an award. For us, however, both projects are already award winners since they they turned out amazing. Everyone who visits our home is wowed by the transformation. Other neighbors who have the same floor plan are now planning on remodeling now that they see what can be done when you have a skilled design build company involved. We have done two Projects with 'Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes' for our home so far, with the most recent one completed recently in 2018. Based on our experience with them, they will surely be the builders we will go to, for our next project too. We chose Michael Nash for our Home Extension and Kitchen Remodeling Projects, only after considering many Building Contractors. In addition to their great reputation and highly competitive pricing, they were the only one that gave us the confidence that they will handle everything right – from getting the County Approval for the concession on setback requirements, necessary permits, and the many things that go with such a big Project. It was our dream to have an exclusive Prayer Room built as an extension to our Single Family Home in Fairfax. When we decided to have our parents move in and live with us, we also felt the need to extend our Family Room. But the "setback" requirements from Fairfax County seemed to be a huge hurdle. None of the Contractors that we met, sounded like they knew how to handle it. Finally, Mr. Sonny – the CEO of Michael Nash, visited our home for a free estimate. He was the one that really inspired confidence in us that this challenge could be overcome. When we visited their Office to finalize the Contract, we were surprised to see how everything was laid out so clearly, with one flat price that will never change until the completion of the Project – no matter what. They made a promise to work with our tastes, preferences, materials selection, and everything else. And they did do a marvelous job in doing that. Of course it took a little more time than originally agreed. May be more supervision at each stage could have avoided it. But, now, after the completion of my Project, when we look back, we can only appreciate how well the Project was executed and how much we love the new look of our Home. The architecture consultant assigned to us – Ms. Marjan was phenomenal. She listened to all of our dreams for our new Kitchen and came up with an incredible design for our Kitchen. She walked with us all the way in finalizing minute details, selection of materials, colors, and every single detail in our new Kitchen. Mr. Shawn worked with us closely, listened to all of our preferences and came up with an excellent plan for our Extension Project. He also worked intensely in getting the County Approval and all the permits that were required. Thereafter, he was there all the way, to oversee the completion of the Project. Mr. Martin – who came to initiate the actual remodel and construction work, made us feel comfortable explaining how Michael Nash stands behind their customers beyond written warranties and guarantees. Today, our gleaming new Kitchen is the topic of discussions whenever visitors come. The newly added Prayer Room is a source of spiritual joy for our family. The extended Family Room is a convenience we admire every day, as we spend quality family time there, day after day. Now, as was promised to us by Mr. Sonny when we signed our Contract, Mr. Farshad works with us closely to attend to our Customer Service requirements. We bought our house "as-is" from an estate and Sonny Nazemian at Michael Nash helped us remodel the house so that it was safe, comfortable, and something we will enjoy for years to come. The work we had done was extensive including an all new kitchen, two bathrooms, a master bedroom, and lots of updating to basic house systems (e.g., electrical, plumbing). There were no surprises on cost during the construction. Even when issues arose during the remodel, Michael Nash didn't nickel and dime us on anything. Moreover, the design work performed by their staff was very helpful and enjoyable. We met repeatedly with the designer before work ever started and that saved us a great deal of time during the remodel. The materials used (e.g., cabinets, flooring, construction) were top grade and have performed very well since the work was completed (about two years ago). The pace of the work could have been faster, but I think that is true of most any remodel. Because of the remodel, we know the electrical, plumbing, and other systems in the house are up to code and will provide us years of safe and reliable service. We have increased the value of our house and it looks great. We look forward to enjoying it for many years as our family grows.

I contracted with Michael Nash after interviewing several contractors. Working with Sonny Nazemian, he was able to show my wife and me the most creative design for an addition and space we had in mind. We contracted with Michael Nash to build a 12’x 18’ two story addition and add a second story 11’ x 26’ area above an existing first story room. The design of the addition gave us a new kitchen and new master bedroom. The additional second story room was designed to accommodate the new master bathroom and created another bedroom. This was very innovative and a terrific use of all space. No other contractor recommended such creative use of the space. We enjoyed working with Oliver Nazemian during the selection process. He was able to pickup on our preferences and mediate between us on differing choices that sometimes arose. He was very familiar with the products available, and his recommendations were usually spot on to our preferences. Shawn was our Project Manager and primary point of contact for progress. Michael-Nash is very linear in the project execution. For example: if a plumber is scheduled that week, you get a plumber and no other craftsmen or part of the project work is simultaneously being done. This linear approach extends the time line for project completion. My project took over two years to complete. Michael-Nash sub-contractors are skilled and efficient at the work. They are respectful and listened to your questions and concerns. They took time to explain the “why” something was being done, and if it required adjustment, they coordinated with both the Michael-Nash Project Manager and customer for full agreement. We had one Michael-Nash carpenter assigned to our project when scheduled. Leonardo was skilled and capable. He was able to see trouble areas and address them with the home office to obtain the needed material in the appropriate size and quantity. When we had a squirrel or bird get into the house during the framing phase, Leonardo was quick to respond and remove the invader while putting into place temporary barriers to further entry till the house was once again enclosed. Overall we are most happy with the design, the responsiveness to issues and the craftsmanship put into the project. It is no wonder Michael-Nash has so many awards for design and build.

We started thinking about remodeling our small and aging townhome after we adopted our daughter in 2010. As she grew older it became apparent that we needed to create more open space, increase storage, and replace failing appliances, windows, and doors. Additionally, we wanted to refresh the look inside our home and change the style from traditional to transitional. Finally, we wanted to minimize maintenance, increase energy efficiency, and make our home more “age-in-place” friendly. We knew we needed a lot of help with design. So after months of researching many companies, we arranged with Michael Nash for an estimate on a design/build package. Mr. Sonny Nazemian visited our home, took measurements and pictures, and suggested many practical yet creative ideas. Later, we negotiated a fair, set price. Our project was large and complex so they spent many long days in our home. They were always kind, courteous and respectful. They are master craftsmen who improved upon the design with their own ideas and adjustments. They took their time and really cared about doing their best work. If we did not like something, they would redo it until we were happy. We believe that this level of professionalism is rare in today’s remodeling contracting world. In summary, Sonny and the Michael Nash team transformed our home like we never thought was possible. They converted wasted space into usable storage; greatly improved our lighting; completely opened up our living room by removing walls and soffits; redesigned our kitchen layout, creating a more inviting feel; and basically, made our home warm and welcoming. We hired MIchael Nash Design, Build & Homes for a complete renovation of our '50's rambler, and are delighted with our results. Our renovation included relocation and renovation of kitchen and bathrooms, relocation of laundry room upstairs, addition of a sun room, several bump outs, skylights, new siding, enclosure of a sun porch, and opening up our floor plan. We hired Michael Nash for an extensive remodeling job including a complete kitchen renovation, wall removal, new fireplace with built-ins, new hardwood floors and stairs, and a refreshed powder room. Our experience with the company was very professional. The CEO met with us to determine the design, then other members of the team guided us through the rest of the project. A project coordinator led us through the selection of cabinets, hardware, granite, wood flooring, fixtures, etc. The on-site construction manager provided expert guidance on many day-to-day jobsite decisions related to lighting, wall removal and placement of new HVAC ducts, switches, crown molding, plumbing and wiring. Then a senior quality manager oversaw the finer details such as granite and backsplash installation, construction of a stone fireplace, and design of a new staircase. They delivered a high-quality project, and they stuck to the agreed-upon contract price even when unidentified issues arose.

We hired Michael Nash in the summer of 2015 to remodel our kitchen and basement. Michael Nash’s owner, Sonny Nazemian, provided us with design options for both rooms that were in line with our vision for the two spaces. We work with the designer team to make our dream a reality. Once we signed the contracts, there were no surprises with the cost as pretty much everything was included in the package we choose, making the process less stressful from a financial prospective. The projects were quite elaborate as they involved the removal of load bearing walls that required the installation of steel beams to secure the structure of the house. The Michael Nash team made sure we had an engineer surveying the wall removal and beam installation. We had several crews working on the projects and they were very good at their crafts. Sonny made himself available when we had questions and was quick at providing solutions if a problem arose. The final projects are beautiful and we could not be happier with the results.

My project consisted of an addition (new kitchen) and a remodeled main bathroom. The design phase for the addition was a pleasure...Sonny and his team were amazing! I received 12 estimates for the project from various contractors, and selected Michael Nash. The most important reason: Most of the contractors told me what "I should want"...Sonny listened to what I really wanted and helped me realize that vision with some amazing recommendations! The addition was the first phase and the bathroom was the second. Since this is the only full bathroom, I asked that when the project started, it couldn't stop. Our renovation is in the final stage of completion, and we are extremely pleased with the final product- a beautiful, high-end, and functional kitchen that we dreamed of for our growing family. Because of budget issues, we could not add-on to the existing square footage, but Michael Nash's customized design of the kitchen made the limited space so much more efficient and functional for our everyday use. After contacting several companies to renovate our 1980s kitchen, we chose to sign with Michael Nash after talking with Sonny, the president of the company. He listened carefully to the details of what we wanted, thoroughly answered every question, and gave us a competitive price for the scope of work. Several weeks later we met with designer Oliver, who guided us through selecting everything we needed- cabinets, flooring, paint, backsplash, fixtures and countertops- conveniently located on-site at their expansive show room. When we were unsure of our selections, we trusted in his confident expertise and we were not disappointed. We trusted their quality workmanship, so we added on some more projects such as sanding and staining the upstairs flooring and changing out the stair rails. Michael Nash did two projects for me. They totally renovated a large master bath and also installed new countertops and lighting in the kitchen. Michael Nash Design & Build was our chosen contractor for remodeling the home my husband grew up in. After evaluating several contractors in the Northern Virginia area, we decided to choose Michael Nash to build our two-story addition and remodel our existing 1200 square foot 1950’s cape code. The cost for this came to about $250k. We met Sonny at our home during our first meeting. We knew at that point that we wanted to work with Michael Nash because Sonny was knowledgeable and was willing to work with us to create what we envisioned. The addition converted our tiny and dark galley kitchen into a beautiful white kitchen with 10-foot ceilings, a double oven, built-in desk, 9-foot island and floor-to-ceiling cabinets. It also gave us a family room, added an extra bedroom, and expanded our bedroom into a master suite with a spacious bathroom and closet. Our designer, Oliver was wonderful to work with. He gave us a lot of insight and helped us choose the best layout and design for our home. The material selection was of quality and we were very satisfied. We also requested a cast-iron farmhouse sink and composite tub both of which were delivered and installed without hesitation. One factor we were concerned about was the delays we experienced throughout the project. However, considering the price point and the quality workmanship, we love our new home and enjoy every minute of it. We engaged ‘Michael Nash Design Build & Homes’ to renovate our outdated master bathroom. Oliver listened carefully to what we were envisioning. He worked around our vision and came up with a number of design alternatives to choose from. Oliver successfully translated our vision into reality. He also came up with some innovative ideas and made suggestions to improve upon our vision. We met with the Michael Nash team at their office where we reviewed renderings of the bathroom, samples of the tiles, showers, lighting, bathtubs, sinks, and a number of layout scenarios. Oliver and his team, came up with a detailed project plan and implementation schedule to accommodate our travel schedules. Handy, as the implementation manager, worked very hard to keep the project on track, and left our house clean and secure at the end of each work day. The project was completed with minimal interruptions to the family life and periodic visits by guests. We have no hesitation in recommending ‘Michael Nash Design Build & Homes’ for upscale renovation of bathrooms and kitchens.

We contracted with Michael Nash to remodel our kitchen which included expanding the exterior of the house, replacing all cabinets, tiling the floors, adding backsplash, electrical and plumbing work, and painting. In addition, a powder room was remodeled. Through the entire process Sonny and his staff provided expert design advice in every aspect of the two projects such as adding an oblong window above our sliding glass doors for more light to simply what color grout should be used. Their craftsmen were very careful in keeping all areas of the house clean including their workspace and their worksmanship was lovely. In addition, the quality of the materials used were excellent. On the few occasions when I noticed an issue they were quick to make corrections. Once the projects were started, they were completed promptly and both the kitchen and bath were lovely beyond my expectations. We are now ready to remodel our master bath and I'm looking forward to working with Michael Nash again.

We renovated and expanded our kitchen to double the size and added a new 15 by 15 sun room. In total approximately 500 sq feet was added. The overall experience was great. From the beginning of the design process to the project completion, the team of Michael Nash was always willing to answer questions and address the issues we had. I am writing to thank Michael Nash Design Build Company for the outstanding remodeling of bathroom they recently did for our home. Their professions and expertises are countless. The entire project went very smoothly without any obtacles that we were not aware of. The crews were super polite and caring persons. Crew spent extra hours at end of day to clean the site for the next workable day. Overal, we are very pleased with service that Michael Nash provided us as compared with other remodeling companies. Their customer services and satisfactions are endless. Our house price went up tremendously and we were surplus with money we spent.

Michael Nash was one of three kitchen remodeling companies we explored for our 41-year old kitchen. Although the three estimates were within the same ballpark, Michael Nash was the only company that guaranteed a fixed price for the entire job, which included fixing an unexpected leak in the ceiling pipes. They did not use subcontractors. All workers are employees of the company, which provided us with one point of contact operation. Within the original 14x20 sq. ft. kitchen, we now have more storage space and counter space than before. In addition, counter seating for 4 (instead of a table with 4 chairs) allows for a wider passageway to the outdoors. Cabinets that extend to the ceiling with beautifully crowned tops make our 8-ft. ceilings seem loftier and the interior lighting in the upper cabinets on either side of the kitchen sink window make that wall seem more expansive. Because our northern exposure kitchen (which opens onto a screened porch), does not offer much natural lighting, we have white LED recessed lights which give the illusion of a room filled with daylight. We keep the LED string lights beneath the upper cabinets on all day for low-cost warm lighting in the room. The cream colored solid wood cabinetry reflects light and the dark wood hutch, with its glass shelves and interior lighting, offers contrast. The beautiful granite countertops tie the cabinetry colors together. All lower cabinets in the working area of the kitchen have full extension drawers (no more kneeling on the floor to reach items on the rear of a fixed shelf) or full extension trays behind doors on the hutch. All of our small appliances fit where they couldn’t before. Other amenities include lower and upper corner lazy susans; upright storage for cutting boards, etc.; tilt-out trays by the sink for sponges; pull-out garbage can with storage for a roll of 13-qt. garbage bags; pot filler over the range (no more heavy lifting of water-filled pots from sink to range). The ability to purchase our appliances at discount prices was another plus. We were assigned one crew, so work flowed seamlessly from day to day. The caliber of the workmanship is exceptional. To make sure you don’t think this sounds all too good to be true, there is one area where you will need to be flexible. Scheduling can sometimes become an issue, but we are sympathetic to the causes of delay. Sometimes a manufacturer may fulfill an order incorrectly and that is certainly not because of Michael Nash. Other times, an emergency on another job may require attention from your assigned crew and your job seems to take back seat. However, if the emergency were yours, it is reassuring to know that it would be taken care of immediately, to someone else’s chagrin. In the end, you will love the outcome. We heartily endorse Michael Nash Design & Build, so ably represented by Sonny Nazemian, its President and CEO. Once the decision was made to renovate the existing home we began looking at builders in northern, Virginia. After meeting with several companies we landed at Michael Nash Design and Build. I will not say it was perfect from start to finish, because no major renovation is perfect. I hired Michael Nash to build a brand new basement. I'm satisfied with the professionalism and the services provided by the staff of Michael Nash. Most of staff members are friendly and easy to work with. Especially they responded well on minor changes in the mid of project. Although it took long time to finish, my basement turns out great eventually.

We are very happy with our kitchen remodel done by Michael Nash. We started by a visit with Sonny who took measurements and set up an initial appointment to give us a general idea and pricing. We were very excited once meeting with him at their showroom with all the displays of cabinets, tile, granite, flooring, appliances, bath accessories, just about everything you could imagine for remodeling. We signed up on that visit. We did interview multiple contractors but Michael Nash was the most desirable. Moving forward we met with Oliver a design expert. He was a joy to work with. He truly knows design and color/design. At one point I was very concerned about color and Oliver assured me it would look great. I decided to listen especially since I tend to be too conservative at times. It turned out beautiful. Not overdone, so glad I listened. The project got started after some time. Wanted to mention even after choices were made I did make some changes and Sonny and Oliver worked with me to make sure we would be happy. We did have some glitches along the process which occurs with any large project. However, the important fact here is we worked through them all to our satisfaction. We also need to thank Michael Nash for some other assistance. During our project we ended up with a leak from a damaged area on our roof. The leak damaged a large area of our dry wall in our family room adjacent to our kitchen. Sonny immediately approved the crew to completely repair it for us while they were here. So grateful, it was a mess. Working with Sonny, Oliver, Shawn, Shahin, Mr. Kim, the work crew and Jaqueline has been a great experience.

We are nearing completion on a very large project with Michael Nash. We put a large addition onto our house along with a two car garage with living space above it. We have been working with Sonny, who has taken good care of us through this very complicated design/build project. It was very helpful to go with a company which has a showroom. Shopping there with their expertise was essential to putting together all of the elements that we needed for our kitchen, powder room, and much more. They were always polite and professional to work with.

We love many features of our new addition. I appreciate the design features crafted into our house. The foil backed drywall and R38 ceiling insulation creates a thermal barrier that helps keep our new addition cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Our new washer and dryer location upstairs is near our master bedroom - making the trek shorter and not having to use the stairs – a welcome feature as we get older. The new in-the-wall, swiveling ironing board makes efficient use of the room space with easy access. Our master bath is filled with many special features: strategically placed skylight brightening the room with natural light, large walk-in shower with special wall niches; seamless thick shower glass to add to the beauty of the room, and a linen closet with toe kick providing the entrance of AC airflow while maximizing floor space. We particularly like our new cathedral ceiling in the sunroom located just off our kitchen providing a wide open view from our kitchen onto our new Trex deck and into our backyard. Our new Trex deck with dark spindles and white railing provides ample visibility into our surrounding wooded area and is of a solid construction where it is a pleasure to sit outside and enjoy our morning coffee. Downstairs on the first floor, our large new patio will provide ample space for entertainment. Particularly noteworthy is the craftsmanship of the paneled ceiling and column construction surrounding the support beams. The team at MND has always been friendly throughout the construction process. Thank you for the well-crafted architecture and design of our new addition!

We had Michael Nash perform a down to the studs renovation of our kitchen and laundry room. The entire process was professional and painless. They developed several interesting designs for us. They guided us through the selection of materials including cabinetry, flooring, appliances, and countertops. Never felt rushed or pressure to pick something more expensive/profitable than we wanted. The construction process was equally painless. They had a work plan for each week, arrived on time, and cleaned up each day before departing. Several years on, we are still happy with the results - no issues or problems have developed. Highly recommend their service.

I hired Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes to remodel our kitchen, baths, family room and foyer. The entire remodel went very well. Everyone we dealt with at Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes were professional, talented and creative. The showroom is spectacular with so many choices, colors, textures and styles for every room in your home. The Project Manager and his crews were very experienced and meticulous in the reconfiguring of some of the space in our home. The kitchen and family room now have an open concept and the new gas fireplace and floating mantel on the stone wall is gorgeous. Built in cabinets topped with open bookshelves are not only beautiful but functional. The main floor bathroom was reconfigured to better utilize the space, which allowed us to enlarge existing storage and have a built-in pantry constructed. With the purchase of stackable washer and dryer, we were able to have an additional storage space created. The two-story foyer and dining room were updated with fresh paint,new chandeliers and french doors. We also had a fabulous porcelain plank floor installed throughout the house. It looks like reclaimed wood in pale shades of grays and brown. Everyone compliments the unique and stylish look that flows through the house. The project ran smoothly and we were able to contact the appropriate individuals at Michael Nash when we had any questions or concerns. We were kept informed on the status of the progress throughout the entire project. I would recommend Michael Nash Design Build & homes to anyone who is looking to update, upgrade or remodel. I will definitely use them again.

Michael Nash completely remodeled our kitchen and renovated the adjacent family room. The kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, recessed ceiling lights, hard wood flooring and painting reflect outstanding craftsmanship and highly skilled labor. The basic design for the project was completed promptly and exceeded our expectations. The project manager closely supervised the work and ensured that it was done correctly and as scheduled.

Michael Nash has had a huge impact on our home. They remodeled our kitchen and updated our powder room in 2007. We were so pleased with the work that we had them renovate our family room and two more baths and add a bathroom in our basement in 2012 and 2013. While no renovation project goes completely as planned, we are always confident that Michael Nash will work with us to make the project successful.

Without question the work done by Michael Nash has been the most positive experience in home design that my wife and I have ever had. They turned an unfinished basement into the most popular and lived in space in our entire home. We now have an area that we take our guests to when they first come into our home - and not later. They demonstrated a perfect blend of imaginative design, technical expertise and workmanship that is second to none! The workers were exceptionally courteous and respectful and the work was done within scope/budget and time! Most important when the recent deluge of rain and snow damaged the basement, they immediately came to the house, estimated the damage and scheduled the repairs...my wife and I could not believe the service!

To tell you that I absolutely LOVE my kitchen would be a total understatement! And my gorgeous master bath is such a pretty retreat. From the high-end fixtures to the beautiful cabinetry, in both rooms, I could not be happier. Sonny's meticulous attention to detail throughout the planning process resulted in rooms that were soundly constructed, well-appointed and perfectly suited for our family. From demolition through to our renovations completion, my husband and I were regularly kept abreast of progress and alerted to any minor hiccups to our timeline. The construction team was not only professional, courteous and friendly, but they were also very considerate of the fact that my two year old grandson was present and often underfoot. They humored his mimicking them with his own construction tools and allowed for him to “help,” to his delight, whenever possible. We could not have been more pleased or impressed from start to finish. I can tell you that truly my only regret was not having renovated sooner! Fast forward seven years, given the positive experience we had, the quality work that was done, and how happy we were with our first renovation, there was no question as to who I wanted to update the rest of my home’s bathrooms and basement --- Michael Nash! I am so excited to start and cannot wait to see Michael Nash's designs further transform my home.

Our overall experience with Michael Nash was very good, especially from a value for money perspective. The results speak for themselves – our kitchen was the 2015 Chrysalis Award South Region winner (in the category of Residential Kitchen Remodel $100,000 to $150,000). This reflects Michael Nash's quality of work and cost effectiveness. We had several quotes for our full kitchen renovation and bump out, but Michael Nash was by far the most competitive, offering no-nonsense pricing and no hidden extras. They never once tried to 'nickel and dime' us for changes and additions, despite us specifying some high end fixtures and fittings, such as Moen automatic faucets and a Kohler prep sink. The start of our renovation was delayed because of very cold weather, which had a knock on effect on the overall timeline. However, Michael Nash worked hard to get things back on track, with the CEO, Sonny Nazemian, personally going out of his way to oversee the project and to recompense us for unforeseen delays. The company was particularly sensitive to keeping the existing kitchen in place and functional until the last minute, so that the disruption was minimal. A really important factor for us was how trustworthy the Michael Nash staff were who would be in our home during the renovation. The senior tradesman, Roger, was outstanding. He was always respectful, dedicated and professional, and was a pleasure to have in our home. We had no hesitation trusting him and the team to continue working even while we were on vacation. We highly recommend Michael Nash for value for money and a quality end product.

Several friends had recommended Michael Nash and their kitchens were beautiful. The planning/choices could have been overwhelming, but I was walked through the entire process professionally. Some suggestions were made that I hadn't thought about and I love the outcome. Michael Nash is committed to a set price...no extras added on later. Any time I had questions I was able to have an answer right away...always someone available to help. Nothing was missed, every detail addressed. The work that was done was wonderful. Every person entering the house was on time, polite, and worked hard. My new kitchen is so nice and I know that if I would ever have a problem, I still can call them to fix it, as they stand by their work.

We had been planning a whole house renovation on our 55-year old home since the day we purchased it in 2010. We did a lot of research into which company we would eventually use and when we were finally ready in 2015, we decided on Michael Nash. Our decision was based on a few things: 1. We needed a designer to help us with some decisions 2. They had to offer competitive pricing and 3. They needed to have good ratings everywhere we looked. Michael Nash had all of the above plus they offered us a no-contingency deal that we couldn’t refuse. This renovation consisted of knocking down walls, reconfiguring plumbing, a complete ceiling to floor renovation. We spent many hours with Oliver, our designer, who guided us through the process, selecting every item from cabinetry and knobs to flooring and lighting – every detail was covered. The job was scheduled to begin in August 2015. We got off to a very slow start and in hindsight, Sonny, the CEO, admitted he underestimated the amount of work our house would need. Being an older home, there were a lot of unforeseen challenges, like having to basically redo all the electrical in the house. Sonny took over managing our project and Mr. Him, our foreman, kept the crew on task. The crew was great, anything we questioned or asked to be done differently, they agreed and did it, no problem. They were all very nice and professional. What was scheduled to be a 2-month project, ultimately took 5 months, but the results were well worth the wait. With every delay, Sonny tried to make it right. He paid for the additional time we had to spend in a hotel, agreed to give us our built-ins at no additional cost, as well as hardwood flooring throughout. I imagine Michael Nash didn’t make much on this job in the end, but that didn’t mean we were treated as any less important. What they may lack in setting realistic expectations, as far as the time it takes to get the job done, is made up for with the integrity to do it right. We have no doubt we’ll enjoy our “new” house for many years to come and will happily recommend Michael Nash to our friends.

Michael Nash Design Build & Homes built my wife and I a beautifully designed contemporary kitchen with all the bells and whistles. My wife and I came across different publications of kitchen photos that perk our interest. Coincidentally, we were both looking at photographs from Michael Nash Design. Within a week of our inquiry, Sonny, came to our house for the initial consultation. Rapport, respect and knowledge are three words I would describe our encounter. He did not want to talk about the budget. He solicited information about our interest, ideas, and our needs. He pointed out areas where design modifications would help improve efficiency. Like others, he took photos and measurements. He asked us to go to the showroom where he could provide us a rough design and floor samples of what we could expect. The second meeting with Sonny was just as impressive as the first. He explained the process from his first meeting to the conclusion of the project. There would a quite a few meeting in the showroom plus additional visits to the house to confirm measurements and utility planning. He showed us a rough blue print of the proposed kitchen but that was subject to change to suit our taste. Although there weren’t many details, we liked the design. Price discussion was simple. He promised that there would be no hidden prices. If there were any unforeseen adjustments necessary, there would be no added charges. The price of the project is based on type of materiel and the size of the kitchen. He physically showed us the difference in grade and quality of the material. The next few meetings were a blur. We wanted a white kitchen with 48-inch range oven. We added a bay window, reduce the size of a two-door patio door to a single door, eliminated the pantry, and transformed a closet to a cabinet. We knew what we like but without any real concept of style or design. Oliver, the designer, worked closely with us every step of the way. He helped narrow down our choices. He doesn’t have a poker face and we could easily tell his preference when hard choices were to be made. He took time to explain the intricacies of patterns, design, fashion, color schemes, and dimensions. I didn’t know that there are so many different shades of white. Over the course of a few meetings, the design finally took shape. We have display cabinets, island counter for astatic, a room dividing showcase, and much more. Ultimately, we have a kitchen design that we love. The renovation phase took a bit of time but well worth the wait. Almost everything had to be gutted replacing water, gas, and electrical lines. There were minor setbacks like the air vent was in the wrong place or a cabinet was not shipped by the factory. In due time, it all worked out. What I was most impressed with was the flexibility. We changed the back splash design the day of the installation, we added additional trimming after the cabinets was installed, added electrical outlets the last minute, upgrade the bay window days before installation, changed the glass display shelves’ height the last minute, changed the location of the supporting leg to out island counter. We took both Oliver and Sonny’s recommendation on a beautiful focal point mosaic piece behind the stove. The list goes on and on. During the whole process, aside from the field supervisor, both Sonny and Oliver came to the house to ensure we were satisfied with the outcome. Needless to say, we are ecstatic. We now have a kitchen we hope to have.

We used Michael Nash for a complete Master Bathroom renovation in the winter of 2015. Since we were impressed with their trustworthiness, we went to Florida for three months while they worked on the project. When we returned our trust has been justified. Nothing in the house was damaged and there were no signs they had accessed any part of the house except where necessary. The job was completed as we had specified. Their workmanship is high quality and the result is beautiful. Our only complaint is that they are a bit slow in completing the punch list items. We would recommend them without reservation.

After researching a number of local contractors, we selected Michael Nash given the level of experience, the accolades we read on-line and letters of recommendations from previous customers that had Kitchen's remodeled. They were also the first company we interviewed that provided the work at a flat price. We worked several months with a designer at the showroom to pick designs, materials and products for our new Kitchen and laundry room. The designer that was assigned to us was knowledgable and professional and very experienced. We completed all the designs about 3 months prior to start of work. The workers on site were professional, experienced and very respectful of our home. They cleaned up after each day's work. We did incur some minor delays but the owner stepped in the help reset the schedule and in the end they met the updated schedule. The final kitchen and laundry area turned-out better than we expected and the quality of work is outstanding. Overall, It was worth the 4 months of construction!

I am in the process of having Michael Nash redo 2 full & 2 1/2 baths in my house. I am using MN because they rebuilt my kitchen 100% about ten years ago and I was very pleased w/.the process, their professionalism and ease of working w/them. For both projects, MN was very responsive in the initial phases of evaluating the scope of work, making suggestions and applying their expertise to my particular situation. Their design recommendations [which I would NEVER have thought of on my own] opened up and made my smallish galley kitchen much larger and usable. The designer for the baths, Sepideh, is doing likewise, providing suggestions and professional advise. Being able to see tile, cabinets, mock-ups . . . etc. is invaluable particularly if you have a hard time conceptualizing the various aspects combined in your home. I anticipate the bathroom installations will be as rewarding and beautiful as was my kitchen.

Michael Nash was hired to help us design and build a bathroom and closet in our attic. Our house was built in the early 60s. We had never contracted with a design and build company previously. The project involved a design process where we selected the desired finishings and approved the design renderings. Michael Nash's design center was helpful in this process as we were able to see most all the options on display in a single location. When the project commenced, it consisted of plumbing, electrical, framing, insulation, drywall, adding a window, HVAC, and finishing. We experienced some project delays but we were happy when Michael Nash covered the cost of unexpected issues with our roof and HVAC that were only discovered after the project started. The result was certainly a beautiful end product and one we are very happy with.

We are very pleased with the outstanding jobs everyone did in our home and we couldn't be happier with the result. We had our master bathroom, hallway bathroom, the powder room, the kitchen, the fireplace and the staircase completely remodeled and new hardwood floor installed on the main level of our home. The kitchen remodeling involved removing structure to open the kitchen space. We absolutely love our new custom kitchen and it looks amazing! The quality of the custom cabinetry is very high-end and top-notch. The bathrooms, powder room, fireplace and staircase all look great. The wood floor is gorgeous. Michael Nash Design and Build, Our kitchen has transformed our entire house. The kitchen is always the heart of the home and ours was ugly, dated, and not very functional. Now it is the showpiece of our home that we are not only proud to welcome our friends and family into but adore spending time in ourselves. My husband and I love to cook but we are so happy with our kitchen that we find ourselves not just cooking and eating in there but also working from our new island instead of our study, sitting in there to enjoy a glass of wine instead of the family room and occasionally catching each other just standing in there enjoying looking around! The design process at Michael Nash is a lot of fun. The selection at the showroom is extraordinary and being able to see the cabinets, granite, backsplashes, organizational options, etc. makes the selection process not only much easier and more enjoyable but I believe leads to a kitchen you're sure to love in the end because you've already had a chance to see up close everything you have selected. I think the worst part of remodeling is the fear of unknown costs coming up. That is not a concern with Michael Nash because they lock in their price and guarantee that no matter what they find behind your walls or what problems occur that the price will not change. This promise even extended to issues with products. The cabinets we selected were unfortunately discontinued right before they were ordered. We were very disappointed, but our designer, Oliver, worked quickly and diligently to find new options for us that were similar to our original choice. He found a cabinet door design that was almost exactly the same as the door we had originally selected except it was by a different manufacturer that made an even higher quality product, and thus, cost more than the product we had selected. Oliver did not hesitate to offer us that product without any increase in cost to make sure we were happy with the final kitchen. Every crew member that worked in our house was great. They were courteous, professional, and did great work. Our main crew members were Cordova and Jaime and they are fantastic. They were always friendly and knowledgable and willing to answer any questions we had. We also appreciated that Sonny, the company President, was available to help with issues throughout the project. For instance we had a problem with appliance placement once the project started and not only did Sonny immediately respond but he came over to our house right after we called to walk us through options and give us his design advice, which ended up making the final design even better than we had anticipated. We are thrilled with our kitchen and look forward to enjoying it for many years to come. Now onto remodeling our master suite!

Scope of Work: New Master Bedroom, Bath, and Walk-n Closet Addition over existing garage, as well as converting existing Master Bedroom into new Upstairs Den, and existing Master Bedroom Walk-in Closet into new Bedroom. Michael Nash has done a superb job on our new master bedroom, bath, and walk-in closet addition above our existing garage. When my wife and I were first investigating potential contractors for the job, we were intrigued by Michael Nash’s unique fixed price contract approach. This, in addition to their friendly sales team and competitive pricing, ultimately resulted in our moving forward with Michael Nash. Michael Nash then worked with us to design both the interior and exterior of the addition, with an emphasis on the details of the master bath. Michael Nash also has an extensive showroom to select fixtures and other materials to select from, and the best part is that due to the fixed price contract, there is no difference in price from one style to another as long as you make a selection from your designated pricing category (we went with the “Custom” package). Throughout construction, we were impressed by Michael Nash’s commitment to satisfaction. Whenever an issue arose (which was to be expected during a project of our scope), we always felt confident that we would be able to reach a fair and agreeable resolution. Our advice is to take any matter that requires escalation to Sonny, as he always delivered results. The best part of working with Michael Nash during construction was that they don’t “nickel and dime” you. Just as one example, after our closet door framing and associated light switch electrical wiring had already been installed, my wife and I realized that their placement would have actually worked better about 18 inches to the right. Our foreman Mr. Him had his crew immediately redo the work without any extra charge (which I honestly would have expected with any other builder). The addition did take longer than expected to complete, but again, Michael Nash’s management team worked with us to make sure that we were satisfied with the final product. And satisfied we are! As the project nears completion, our friends, family, and neighbors alike have all been in awe of our new dramatically-sloped high vaulted bedroom ceiling, and striking bathroom and closet designs. In fact, we have been so pleased with the results of our addition to date that we are now also working with Michael Nash on another project to install a new flagstone patio with a gas fire pit, as well!

Michael Nash Design is an excellent Company. Michael Nash was respectful to us throughout the project. There office staff and on the job employees are professional and complement each other (There moto is: We can resolve any issue, there is no problem), and they did. They considered us throughout the projects. We started with a kitchen remodel and move to add a bath remodel and subsequently a family room remodel. There work is impeccable. Second to none in Customer Service.

I hired Michael Nash to build a Sunroom addition, make a trex deck, a balcony on top of the Sunroom, remodel the kitchen, replace the hardwood floor and carpet in the house. The job is almost complete. Michael Nash has done an excellent job. Michael Nash’s staff is polite and trust-worthy. I was most impressed with the CEO, Mr. Sonny Nazemian and General Manager, Shawn. This was a fixed price contract. When the contract was signed we were told that they use quality expensive material/appliances, but the actual material/appliances were not chosen at the time of signing the contract. So we were concerned if we will be allowed to choose the materials and appliances of our choice. But all those fears were put to rest later on when Michael Nash allowed us to choose materials and appliances from a large range of quality above-average / superior options. Among all things we are happy about, Michael Nash was extremely flexible to accommodate specific request, never bringing up any additional or hidden cost. This was a difficult project as the slope of the Sunroom was to be almost flat so that we can have a balcony on top of it, but Michael Nash did it. There were a few management issues which resulted in ordering of wrong material and delaying the project. Michael Nash’s General Manager, Shawn worked hard to correct those issues. Anyway, those issues were nothing compared to the final product we are getting now. Michael Nash has made a beautiful Sunroom, Deck and Balcony which I think is an award-winning work. The granite in the kitchen looks great too! The workmanship is much above-average. I recommend Michael Nash for remodeling and additions work.

We contracted with Michael Nash to do home improvement including a sunroom addition, kitchen remodeling, new patio and a deck. We went through few iteration of the design before settling on the final one, the design staff at Michael Nash were accommodating and closely worked with us through this processes. They followed a systematic approach during the implementation phase by starting with the outside work before moving to the inside thus maximize our use of the existing kitchen. Their staff are very professional, courteous and accommodating. Though the project took longer than what was estimated, the final product exceeded our expectation and was worth the wait.

Nash does great work with professional people. We have used them to remodel both our entire kitchen and family room and 3 bathrooms. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The only negative is that it takes some time to get them started, but that is not a surprise, you know when you sign your contract when they are going to start.

We are very pleased with the 825 sq ft renovation that Michael Nash completed for us. The renovation includes adding space to the existing living space, adding bathrooms and a bedroom suite, and remodeling kitchen. Although the timeline for the project was extended, Michael Nash was able to work with us through every problem that cropped up and flexible enough to change plans on the fly to ensure we'd be happy with the end result. In addition, unlike other companies we interviewed, no one was willing to do the work and give us the quality materials we wanted for the price they charged.

We live in a very old bungalow style house that was built in 1919. When we decided to get both of our bathrooms completely remodeled it was a little daunting. We have had several “projects” with this house already, and have always run into issues since the house is so old. After talking to several companies about what they thought would be best for our bathrooms, including pricing. We decided to go with Michel Nash. This was based on meeting with Sonny and his ideas for our “Master Bath” and based on their previous reviews. Another added bonus was that once you sign the contract the price will not change. That is important when you live in an old house with lots of surprises behind every wall. For our master bathroom we were changing a half bath that was connected to another room to our own private master bathroom. When I first spoke with Sonny I had grand visions of a huge master bathroom that would take up our entire “sitting room” that was off our bedroom. Thankfully Sonny talked me off that cliff and made great suggestions for use of space that would still give us the master bathroom we wanted. For the larger hall bathroom we talked about changing around the set up to give us more room and better storage. Once we signed the contract and paid we were ready to get the work done. As you can imagine, living in a house with only 1 full bathroom(that was barely functional), we were very eager and excited to get the work done. If I had to give one con to Micahel Nash it is that they are busy. And you may have to wait a few months for the work to begin. We waiting for our project to get started, and once it did, we were pleasantly surprised with the workers that were handling our projects. We pretty much had the same guys every day and they were always great. I work from home so I had a lot of interaction with them. Everyone was always smiling and working hard. First bathroom to get started was the master bathroom. This was completed over about 3-4 weeks and the work is amazing. The tilework in the shower is great and the team handled all the hidden issues without hesitation. The second project, the hall bathroom, started shortly after that. This was a much bigger bathroom and had its fair share of issues come up. The same team handled everything very professionally. Now that both bathrooms are complete I can say they were defiantly worth the wait and the money. Both bathrooms are beautiful and we get compliments every time we have people over. If you want beautiful custom designed bathrooms Michael Nash is the team to choose. Like I said before, you may have to wait a little bit, but it will be worth it.

As one can appreciate the decision of a total kitchen remodel can be a daunting undertaking and Michael Nash made the entire process smooth and easy. From our first meeting with Sonny, they listened intently, saw and enhanced the vision we had for the heart of our home. This continued with their designer in the design and planning phases and hit into gear with team who was onsite executing the vision and doing the actual work. Our goal was a full kitchen remodel including moving some walls making the space bigger but the dining room smaller. This also included a family room make over as well as hardwood floors on the entire first floor. What stood out most for us as key differentiators between Michael Nash and other companies were the following; the work is done by actual Michael Nash employees, not sub-contractors, I can’t tell you what a difference this makes. We found each employee to be extremely professional and committed to delivering high quality work. Second, the all in pricing model. Once it was set and agreed upon, that was it. If there were unanticipated issues “behind the walls”, it was covered. No new invoices, something unheard of in the remodel world! This took out much of the stress we experienced in previous remodel projects. And most importantly, the final product and our new kitchen is stunning. The craftsmanship and finish is fantastic. The pride in the work from all of the teams is evident in the beautiful kitchen we now have. Our new kitchen far exceeded our expectations and came together to enhance not just our home but our highly-valued family time. I discovered Michael Nash entirely by accident. I had been looking for a kitchen contractor who could build me a complete addition, but all the ones I had talked to could only operate within the existing home’s footprint. I happened to be driving down Lee Highway and saw the Michael Nash trucks out front, saying that they did additions, so I went inside. I was impressed by the showroom, and by their single price strategy. I was told that I could have any finishes I liked as long as they fit within the “classic” lines. Almost everything I wanted was within the guidelines – maple cabinets, oak floors, granite counter tops, and stainless steel tiles. I bought some electrical fixtures that were from “outside” manufacturers, but I received a cash credit for the fixtures. I give Michael Nash’s designers a lot of credit for the overall design. They showed me how I could rotate the roof 90 degrees, giving a “cathedral” ceiling over the new addition. The twelve foot ceiling makes the room feel bigger, and it’s good for cooling in the summer. They also suggested removing the brick wall between kitchen and dining room, opening up the entire space. The entire project included a 12x12 kitchen, an adjoining 12 x 12 family room, a 12 X 12 deck, and reconfiguration of the old kitchen and dining room into a proper dining room and utility room. I also give Michael Nash credit for encouraging me to go for high end appliances. They allowed me to purchase the appliances at their cost, which made it affordable to put in a 36” six burner stove. I love my stove, and I’m sure that when it comes time to sell the house, the stove will help clinch the deal. On the downside, they promised to complete the job in three months. In fact, it took seven months until I could move into the kitchen, and over a year for the last detail to be completed. The craftsmanship was mainly good, but there were some things that were so bad that they had to be re-done. As the project neared the end, the company threw in some extras to give the addition a more finished look. Also, as a favor to me, they repainted my living room to match the dining room at no extra cost. Of course, that made the whole project more photogenic. The company sent over a professional photographer to take pictures, and my project earned Michael Nash two industry awards. I’m also featured as “Miss March” in their 2015 calendar. Two years on, I love my new kitchen. I’ve had numerous dinner parties, where all six burners were in use. Over the two years, I’ve had a couple of problems. Michael Nash was generally responsive to my concerns. They added more insulation to the frozen pipes and added a new circuit for the microwave.

Beautiful two floor addition to our home. We are a recently retired military family that decided to add additional living space to our home. Our vision was to have enough space to accommodate visiting family members and our teenage children’s friends as well as create a separate living space for my wife and myself. After months of research and meetings based on the positive reviews we read, we selected Michael Nash for our projected and we are pleased with the addition. The CEO of the company personally gave us a tour of the showroom giving us immediate feedback on the flooring, bathroom, lighting, siding and paint options that would be used that met our requirements and most importantly were in our price range. Follow up visits resulted in refinements of the materials and the development of a one on one relationship with our project manager. When it came time for installation I was nervous but the guys made everything easy. They were extremely courteous and willing to make minor adjustments that may have been overlooked during the showroom visits. No complaints here. All and all a 5 star experience from start to finish and the addition looks beautiful inside and out! We highly recommend Michael Nash for this type of project.

Michael Nash removed the wall between the kitchen and the porch, extended the kitchen into a 16’x24’ addition, and used the remainder of the addition as a sunny family room. Also created a half wall between the dining room and kitchen so there would be a clear line of sight through the open area. The addition has a cathedral ceiling and transom windows, five 5’x5’ windows and French doors. The contract also included a roof for the full house, a fireplace, and a walk-out basement excavation. I am very pleased with the design, the workmanship, and the quality of materials used.

My husband and I had our master bathroom, hallway bathroom, the powder room and the kitchen completely remodeled and new hardwood floor installed on the main level of our home. However, we still have our family room, dining room and staircase to be remodeled. Our contractor is Michael Nash who arranged the electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry work. The work involved about several months of almost constant attention with at least two workers in the house most of those days. We appreciate Sonny and Shaun for taking the time to answer our questions and responding to our concerns. We signed a contract with Michael Nash in February this year after approx 6 months design consult and selection of fixtures and fittings. Initially we were very pleased with the company- the design consultants were very professional and patient and we felt pleased with the design. Then came the project! We were promised the work would commence in late March-it did not start until late April-(they wanted to push it to mid-May). We thought the project should take about 6 weeks-they estimated 10-12 weeks. They are already approximately three weeks behind their schedule. They only come in 1-- 1 and 1 /2 days a week- we often don't know when they are coming in (they used to call us with a schedule but don't any more.) They often start or leave in the middle of the day to go off to other projects. we find this very unsatisfactory and I wonder if they have sufficient resources. We were offered a discount to pay for the project in advance and did so. I now wonder if we had not done this, if we would have received better service.

Miraculous Kitchen Renovation! Michael Nash and Company created a miracle with our kitchen! Our kitchen was very small and had a peninsula which cut it off from the eat in dining area, mirror backsplash and horrendous cabinets. We received numerous quotes from big box home improvement stores and other area contractors, but we were very unsatisfied with their suggestions to simply replace the existing cabinets and countertop and keep the basic configuration of the kitchen. While our expectations were modest, we still wanted to achieve a more livable kitchen our entire family could enjoy. Then we met with Sonny Nazemian of Michael Nash. He produced amazing blueprints which depicted a kitchen straight from HGTV, complete with an island that would fit 6 people. My wife and I were both skeptical at first since we did not think our kitchen had sufficient space to accommodate such a beautiful island. However, Sonny assured us that our dream kitchen was possible. We had three meetings in the showroom with Oliver, who helped us make cabinet style and color selections, choose granite countertops and tile backsplash, all the way down to knob and handle hardware. It was obvious we were dealing with a team of professionals who wanted our kitchen to be perfect! The job involved pushing a wall back in the kitchen which meant moving the laundry room to the upstairs. A wall upstairs also had to be pushed back. It was quite a transformation, but the work brought the house to a new level. The craftsmen who worked on our home were top notch. There was a lot of rerouting of wiring and plumbing, but they did an expert job and we know there will be no issues later on down the line. We got a call every night from the job supervisor, Martin, to let us know the status of the work and what would be happening the next day. Whenever we had a concern, we were able to get a quick answer from Sonny, who would often come to the house to meet us and discuss the job. Now that the job is completed, we couldn't be happier with the performance of the Michael Nash team! We look forward to using Michael Nash to perform a bathroom renovation in the coming months. We never would have believed that our small, confined kitchen space could have been transformed into such a large, open area with a huge island in the middle of it! Michael Nash has completed two design and build projects for us. First came our completely remodeled kitchen, from dark and difficult, to light and expanded, with double cabinet and counter space, task lighting, hardwood floors, redesigned pantry. Hardwood floors extended thru breakfast area and family room. New shelves, new mantle, cabinets made the back half of our home look so beautiful. In 2012 we again called on Sonny Nazemian and his team for a sun room addition, a new deck, and a new roof. Everything met our highest expectations. The sun room is a beautifully designed room with 12 ft ceiling and huge windows, a real showstopper. Sonny & crew, thanks!

Almost two years ago, we purchased an old house knowing it needed a major renovation. The initial contractor we planned to work with doubled their estimate before we even finalized the layout or began selecting finishes, so we decided to open up our search again and found Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes. After meeting with Sonny Nazemian we found Michael Nash’s commitment to honoring their client’s budget and the quality of their end product were the most important factors for us. When we bought it, our home was a quirky split-level with small rooms that didn’t flow and the kitchen and bathrooms were outdated. Now, we have the unique and quirky split-level we wanted, but the spaces are open, the house flows well and everything has been update. There are so many beautiful features from the hardwood floors, to the 2-sided stone fireplace, to the kitchen and bathrooms. Our project included a 1000 SF addition above the main level to add a master suite, second bedroom and bathroom and an office; raising the ceiling height of the main level (LR, DR, kitchen) to 9'; relocating the front entrance to the main level; adding a small powder room on the main level; new exotic hardwood floors throughout; removing the walls and existing fireplace between the dining room and living room and replacing them with a 2-sided stone fireplace; a new modern kitchen with large center island; combining two existing bathrooms into one larger one; running plumbing and electrical for the new mud room; new electrical throughout; a new 2-zone HVAC system; new roof and siding. Their in-house team worked with us to tweak things in the field as we went and they weren't afraid to go the extra mile. For example, instead of just running the plumbing and electrical for the mud room and being done with it, Sonny had the whole room finished for us. Because of the size and complexity of our project, it was not without issue and delays. The project took longer than expected, there were some coordination issues and it sometimes lacked an onsite manager. But, at the end of the day, Michael Nash (Sonny) was committed to getting things done right and to our satisfaction. And, they honored the commitments that they made to us 18 months ago when we started this process, both staying within our budget and providing a quality end product. We look forward to future projects with Michael Nash, including converting our carport to a garage, and would recommend them to others looking for a unique design.

Michael Nash remodeled our basement and WOW, did they do a great job. Our previous basement was boring, non-functional and ugly – so much we hated spending time down there. Michael Nash transformed our ugly basement into a functional, aesthetically pleasing space. During the remodel we made a few modifications to our design and the Nash team was flexible and accommodating; they really wanted to make sure we were happy with the end product. The Nash team performed a bathroom remodel, added a full bar, egress window, TV viewing area and workout room. We couldn’t be more pleased with the basement and now enjoy using the space. We are so pleased with the job Sonny and team did that we recently signed with Nash for a full kitchen remodel and expansion.

Michael Nash did our beautiful kitchen, mudroom, powder room and family room over a 2 month period from January-March 2015. Everything is more lovely than we could have imagined. We came to Michael Nash because we liked the idea of an all-in-one place quality place that we could go to manage our entire project since we are too busy to worry about all of the bits and pieces (and we know there are a lot them!) that go into making a design come to life. We liked the idea of this large project being “fixed” price with no surprises and the ability to allow us to use our own imagination throughout the project once it came to life. As the process unfolded, we liked that we were told what we had to focus on during that point of time since it would have been way too overwhelming otherwise. Luis, who was on-site the whole project managing the crew did a terrific job and was very personable to deal with. He took the time to make sure we understood the impact of certain design choices. He stayed late to make sure that we liked the shape of our island and also recommended a different dimension that we would have not thought of, without his expertise we would have been lost. We definitely recommend Michael Nash and we intend to continue our renovations utilizing the company in the future, as we live in this house enjoying this first renovation!

Twenty years ago, I hired Michael Nash to decorate my condo. They painted and carpeted the living room, dining room, and bedroom; installed ceramic tile floors in the bathroom and kitchen; reupholstered my living room and dining room furniture; and made draperies for the windows. After they were done, the condo looked like a showplace. I would recommend Michael Nash to anyone interested in redecorating their home. I especially enjoyed working with Sonny Nazemian, who in just one visit to my home picked up on my style and color preferences to create a beautiful décor. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. As a result, 20 years later, I have hired Michael Nash to remodel my kitchen.

Remodeled the kitchen, built a new front porch, extension, car pot, and a storage. Also replaced the roof, siding of our existing house, window treatment, and replaced our electric panel. We constantly changed our orders, but Michael Nash always met up to our expectations without increasing the cost. Also, the crew members were all punctual and worked professionally and hard. A few weeks ago, we invited many of our friends over to celebrate the Lunar New Year and all our friends have complimented both the remodeled kitchen and the extension. They also said that the money was well spent. We specially like the high celling, and bright open space. we are 100% satisfied with the Micheal Nash and highly recommend this company. As a professional chef, I spend much of my time in the kitchen but my previous kitchen had a poor layout, lack of storage and workspace, and inadequate appliances. I wanted a classic french country look with certain features. Michael Nash Design and Build exceeded all of my expectations. We are so happy with the look and quality of the kitchen. We plan to use them again for other projects.

We chose Michael Nash Kitchens & Bath in large part because of the vision and can do attitude exhibited by the company’s CEO Sonny Nazemian. Where other contractors saw hurdles and expressed uncertainty about the structural changes we wanted, he saw potential and from the beginning committed to making those changes happen. Those changes included removing a load-bearing wall, raising the kitchen ceiling to be flush with the one in the dining room, widening a window and moving the door to the garage. They were all critical to giving us the modern, open kitchen we desired, yet other contractors expressed doubt about whether the duct-work in the ceiling could be moved and would not commit to removing the wall. Sonny never had any doubt, and he lived up to that vision and commitment, meeting every challenge with innovative solutions. His commitment and innovation was a constant theme throughout the process. When the cabinet manufacturer we chose went out of business in the middle of our project (after our cabinets were mostly constructed), Sonny and others worked diligently to minimize the delay and find a replacement company that met our standards. Nazemian also made sure the new company custom make the exact cabinets we wanted—which were uncommon in style and wood species (vg Doug. Fir)—for no additional cost to us. Having the right cabinets was critical to having the look and functionality we wanted. When unexpected complications or other issues arose during the project and the crew did not have the answers (or in some cases the right answers) Sonny was very responsive and always swooped in to quickly to resolve them. The other great thing about our experience with Michael Nash was the flexibility we had under its pricing structure. They did not nickel and dime the job. We had total freedom to select the faucet we wanted, to add a hydraulic lift door in our cabinetry, to utilize LED recessed lighting and special dimmers, and to have premium wide plank wood birch flooring installed in our dining room, living room and foyer. Installing the wide plank flooring in the optimal direction required blocking between the joists with 2x4s, replacing the sub-floor and making all the joists level. The blocking required removal and re-installation of the basement ceiling. When the project was finished we had our dream kitchen. We still say “wow” when we walk into it and would not do anything different. The transformation from the cramped dark kitchen we had, to the stunning one we now have, is truly amazing. Last but not least, we waited a while before submitting reviews because we wanted to see how well Michael Nash stands behind its work. We were not disappointed. The few minor issues that have come to light since the project was completed (one more than a year after completion) were promptly resolved without question. Too often companies become difficult to work with once a project is complete and full payment rendered, but Michael Nash sets itself apart by being responsive long after the project is finished. We not only got the kitchen of our dreams, but the peace of mind that comes from knowing we hired a contractor that genuinely stands behind its work.

After reviewing project reports on quality and competitive pricing we chose Michael Nash (MN) to interview for our Kitchen remodel. We like the design engineer Michael Nash provided, and felt competent they would do a great job, so we signed a contract and agreed upon a start date. MN finished on time and within their fixed price contract. Not once did they ask for more $$, but did several extras that we wanted, and the office was very good at getting the trash removed on time. As with all things mechanical, things need tweaking over time, MN has provided perpetual maintenance several times without hesitation. Electrical (light switch) and plumbing (facet) MN has been very responsive in getting these small things fixed but big when they don't work. We liked them, and the job that they did we selected them again to remodel our basement, which they did an outstanding job as well. This was a fixed price as well and the finished on time, and within budget.

We contacted Sonny Nazemian about designing a Sun Room addition for our home. We wanted this addition to open our living and dining rooms thereby creating a larger open space especially for family events. Sonny designed a beautiful, open space with the back wall being primarily windows looking out to our wooded, landscaped back yard. Both sides have large French doors and one side will open onto a new, modern deck. The project turned out even more spectacular than we imagined. Everyone who comes into our home invariably exclaims "WOW."

A kitchen project of designing and installing granite kitchen counters, stainless steel sinks, faucets, garbage disposal, and plumbing went exactly as expected. That is the highest compliment we can give. The project was given immediate attention. Selection of materials and design advice was exceptional. We have dealt with Michael Nash for over 20 years with projects ranging from complete kitchen and bath remodeling to extensive additions onto the exterior of our home. Over that span of years we have learned that, when the work was completed, we would have total satisfaction. And that is their goal. We would recommend them without hesitation.

We hired Michael Nash to do a waterproofing and complete renovation of our basement. This was the 5th significant renovation or building project we had done to various houses so we were fairly experienced working with contractors. Sonny worked with us during the sales process and was great and offered a very competitive price. We also had friends that had used Nash for their renovation and were pleased. Once we signed the contract and construction was ready to begin, Sonny handed us over to his brother Shawn to oversee the project. The selections process was one of the best organized and easy experiences I've ever had with a contractor. We were expecting to choose a tile floor for the basement given the concerns about moisture but Shawn insisted that moisture was not going to be a problem at all and suggested we could go with a composite wood floor. We were pleased with the finishing materials offered at our budget. Scheduling took a bit longer than hoped for and was not perfect but pretty typical for a contractor. They did not finish strongly. Once the construction crew felt they had finished the job they left without any walk through and there were a number of punch list items remaining. For example, we had installed cabinets with glass shelves but Nash had not installed the glass shelves. Rather, they just left it on the counter. When I looked to see why, it was because it was cut to the wrong size. When I called Shawn to ask when they would be coming back to finish the work he acted surprised that they were not finished and acted as if that was punch list and they would get to it in the next few weeks. They also asked for full payment. Frustrating attitude because that is not really the same as punch list items when the cabinets are really half installed. Other than leaving a few important things unfinished, we were very pleased with the result initially. The rooms looked great. It took awhile to get Nash to follow up on the punch list items. And then the moisture damage appeared. It started as discoloring on the composite wood floors in various spots that grew steadily worse. We called Shawn who was difficult to reach and to schedule to come to the house. He assured us Nash would take care of it. When he finally came he looked and didn't seem too impressed with the discoloration. I asked if they had put down a moisture barrier and he said that they had. He suggested it might be some left over moisture from before the job and he had his crew put fans in the basement for a couple days to see if that helped. I was skeptical but decided to let it play out since he was saying they would solve the problem. They took away the fans and the discoloration kept getting worse. We started calling Shawn again (still difficult to reach, had to call Sonny to ask him to have Shawn call us back). By this time Nash accounting was impatient that we had not paid our final bill. I wasn't paying until they delivered a dry basement or at least one that could cope with minor moisture. More weeks passed and Shawn came out again. He looked at the discoloration (now worse) and said he would have a crew come and fix it. More weeks went by. The discoloration got worse. We kept calling. Shawn said they would only send out the crew to fix the problem if we paid our final bill. I was pretty firm that I wasn't paying the final bill because our basement was quickly becoming unusable. It was pretty clear to us that the basement was not going to be usable very long and the risk of things like mold were a concern. Eventually a lot more calling and negotiation, Shawn agreed to fix the floor if we agreed to pay after the floor was fixed. Shawn sent out a flooring crew who lifted up a few of the worst boards and replaced them with new once. They did nothing about the water issue and did not fix the boards that were not as badly discolored. Once again, we called Shawn and, when we finally reached him, told him that the floor replacements his crew did were far from a solution. By this time, even the new boards were starting to show discoloration. Shawn tried to convince me that Nash had fixed everything. I told Shawn to come over and I would happily show him all the areas that were not fixed and the fact that they obviously had not addressed the root cause of the moisture. He agreed to send in another crew to fix the problem. When the new crew finally arrived, they pulled up the boards in the worst areas. I happened to be home and the head of the floor crew (a subcontractor to Nash) explained to me that putting down new boards was pointless because they had never put down a moisture barrier between the concrete and the flooring. He said putting down more wood was just like putting new drywall over a leak without fixing the leak. I agreed and said this was what we had feared from the start. Another contractor friend of ours confirmed that this was a mistake. By this time, we had decided that we did not want Nash to fix the problem because we had lost confidence in them. I called Shawn and suggested a deal: 1) come back and patch up the boards you had pulled up, 2) give us a credit for $9,000 (which we still owed to them), and we'll call it even. Shawn said ok but never sent back a crew to patch up the boards. Fixing the problem with a water barrier and tile will eventually cost $25,000 with a separate contractor. Overall, i think many have a good experience with Nash but they obviously failed with us. Basements with a history of moisture issues are probably too risky for wood floors and you certainly don't want to try one without a moisture barrier. If they had done it the right way, we would have rated Nash with 5 stars. Mistakes are made so that would have been ok if Shawn had quickly diagnosed that the floor was installed improperly and that moisture was going to be a problem and simply had said "Nick, we need to replace the entire floor, put in a moisture barrier, and probably use tile. We will only charge you for the difference between the cost of the wood flooring and the cost of tile." That would have been a little frustrating but honorable. Instead, Shawn clearly ignored the problem hoping it would go away. If you do use Nash, I would make sure that Shawn is not in charge of the job. And hold back a reasonable amount for problems.

We hired Michael Nash to do a massive remodel job of our home. We met with Sonny (the president) and Oliver (worked with our design) to see what they could do for us. When Sonny visited our house he literally said 'we can do that' to our every request. We had the following done: - gutted and remodeled kitchen (new granite, fixtures, ceiling-high cabinets, lights, moved stove, etc) - new stone fireplace/hearth, bookcases, and ceiling fan/light fixture in family room - Mirage flooring in entire main level and upstairs foyer - new french doors for study - new wood stairs and railing stained to match flooring - completely gutted and remodeled master bathroom (granite, huge walk-in steam shower, cabinets, fixtures, new slipper tub, etc) Michael Nash has fantastic employees (we have a 3 year old child and they took the time to talk to him every day, which made his day!) and they will talk daily with you to make sure everything is being done exactly as you want, and they will continue to work with you until you really love it! We strongly recommend and are looking to do more renovations to our guest bedrooms next!

Michael Nash recently remodeled our kitchen which included stripping the kitchen down to the studs. Since I work from home, I was able to meet all of the workers personally and watch some of the work in progress. The workers were all well qualified, and appeared to be so happy doing their jobs. At the end of each work day, the workers swept up the mess, which is especially nice since we have a toddler in the house. Sonny and his staff are/were all very courteous and attentive to our concerns and needs during the entire process. They even accommodated some changes which we made during the remodel. Michael Nash recently completed the demolition and remodeling of my hall bathroom. I was so pleased with the expertise of Michael Nash. They listened to what I hoped to accomplish with the renovation….a more open floor plan. It didn’t take them long to come up with a plan to make my living space open and completely blend in with the rest of my home. Choosing Michael Nash to do this project was easy. The quote provided for the work was very competitive. The fact that there would be no additional costs once the project started and that Michael Nash uses their own staff for all the work, helped me make my decision. Once the work began, the transformation that took place was unreal. Ceilings and floors were demolished. Electrical and plumbing changes were made. I still cannot believe how closely the newly installed hardwood floors match the existing. The project teams who worked at my home were dedicated and professional. They treated me like they were working for their own family. At the end of each day, the jobsite was neat and organized. Floors were swept. Plastic sheeting was place to control dust from the renovation. The project teams took time to make sure that I was happy as the items were installed and were able to make a few changes in the design as the project went along. Michael Nash also recently completed a screened in porch addition to my house. The work was expertly done and the design has earned many compliments from people walking around the neighborhood. I really appreciate the care they took both with the design and execution. The porch is a fantastic addition to the house and compliments all of the work they did in my kitchen and family room.

We purchased an old house built in the 1950's with the intent on immediately remodeling the old galley kitchen. We contacted Michael Nash and Sonny Nazemian arrived at our house the same-day to listen to what we wanted and conduct a site-visit. We visited their showroom a week later to view the preliminary plans and receive a free price quote. The price was lower than other quotes received and they explained that the price quote was fixed. This was extremely appealing to us given the extent and complexity of the project, which entailed ripping the old kitchen down to the studs, removing a load-bearing wall, replacing it with a flush lam beam, and relocating the sink to a new kitchen island. The old house did yield some surprises such as old termite damage and having to re-run old electrical, gas lines, and plumbing...Michael Nash handled each of these problems at no additional cost to us. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of the cabinets, which have soft close uppers and base doors and drawers as well as additional pull-out shelves in the base cabinets. The cabinets also have very nice molding and lighting. We did not like the granite we selected once we saw the full slab prior to fabrication...not a problem, Michael Nash set up for us to pick out something we liked from a different supplier. Oliver, Sean, and Louis provided excellent support and helpful recommendations along the way. For example, we were set on a farmhouse sink that we purchased separately, but they convinced us otherwise by providing a well-thought list of pros and cons. At the completion of the project, we received higher quality items than expected and paid exactly what we were told the project would cost. We couldn't be happier. Michael Nash Design was hired a couple of years ago to redo my kitchen and I could not have been happier with the results! They made what could have been a stressful situation into an exciting experience for me and my family. They had a clear vision of what would function and what would need to be made current in our home. We definitely were able to include our own preferences and thoughts all along the process. I think the highlights for me were the fact that a package price is created and there are no surprise added costs or backing out of any promises made. We hired Michael Nash for a complete kitchen redesign in our townhouse. We are very pleased with the result and the process that got us there. In particular, we worked with Oliver who patiently walked us through the numerous design decisions and options over multiple sessions. And it was a fixed price project, so no stress about getting nickel-and-dimed. They use all employees, so there's one less layer of potential disconnect that you often see with subcontractors. And there was really no hassle when we made a few adjustments during the process. They were very reasonable and responsive to all concerns. They even had someone whose job it was to make sure our punch list of items got resolved at the end. The materials are top-notch. You can pick from a couple of broad grade levels up front, then from the numerous choices in those grades. We even got to pick our slab of granite from the quarry company before they cut out our pieces. We ended up buying our appliances on our own, which saved a few thousand dollars. The work started a bit late, but completed in about the 5 weeks they estimated and we love it. So much so that we just signed up with them to redo our master bath now. And unlike last time, we paid upfront this time because we no longer have any concern about them following through on ensuring that we're satisfied. I hired Michael Nash to redesign and remodel a condominium kitchen and bathroom, and to install wood flooring throughout. The unit was approximately 20 years old and outdated. They were able to update and add storage space in both the kitchen and bathroom. It looks brand new, fabulous lighting.

Tony worked with us on our design and selections, even helped us make changes when we second guessed our choices. I hired Michael Nash to do a renovation/remodel of my kitchen in 2014. It was an extensive remodel that included taking down walls, removing a half bath and enclosing a small porch, all to be incorporated into an open concept kitchen and living space. I went to several contractors for both design and cost estimates, and finally made the choice to go with Michael Nash. I am a skeptic and a perfectionist, so I will say up front, the process from design to completion was at time treacherous and emotionally draining. But, Sonny the owner of Michael Nash promised me, in fact personally guaranteed that I would be blown away by the final product. He told me at the time I contracted with him that the price would not go up, regardless of what they found during the demolition/renovation phase and boy did he stick to his word. My home was built in 1953 with very solid construction, which is a good thing, but the demolition required a lot more work than anybody ever expected. While the job took a little longer than I planned, I must admit a lot of this was by my own doing. I changed my mind several times on appliances, light fixtures, paint colors, door designs, kitchen layout, you pretty much name it. I guess I was spending way too much time on the Houzz website and in kitchen remodel magazines (fun but very dangerous after you have already made decisions). Michael Nash never blinked an eye and was extremely receptive and courteous to all of my design changes and ideas, even when they occurred mid-construction. I spoke with several other families who have had major renovations done and most complained not only about long delays, but more importantly the mess and dust they were forced to live with while the project was under construction. This was absolutely not the case with my home. My work crew, which most of the time consisted of only two very hard working men, was led by an absolute angel and best- in -trade, Mr. Chon. He kept everything in pristine condition and was extremely respectful to our situation. He surpassed my expectations in every sense. His artful workmanship, work ethic and positive attitude all contributed to an overall positive experience. But the final product is what speaks volumes of Michael Nash’s work . All I have to say is WOW !!! I rarely leave home anymore because my kitchen and living spaces are spectacular! Gorgeous, stunning, comfortable….just perfect !! My friends and family are shocked when they come into the kitchen which was once a dark, out-dated galley and is now a Chef’s kitchen showcase and the envy of the neighborhood.

November 5, 2014 We had a great experience working with Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes on a major remodeling and sizable expansion of our 1979 vintage master bedroom bath that also included an upgrade of the first floor power bathroom, a new customized walk in closet upgrade, replacement the original pine rails and spokes on the steps with beautiful Oak rails and spokes, and carpeting of the second floor and steps. We did our homework and Michael Nash delivered the best design and value over four other companies. The architectural and design phase was a great experience under the guidance of Oliver. Oliver took our requirements and the allocated space we gave him for the new bathroom and delivered a phenomenal design. The entire Michael Nash team’s attention to detail delivered a stunning bathroom with outstanding tile work in the shower, bathtub enclosure, floor, upgrade of the first floor powder bathroom, and a new customized walk in closet with the following major amenities: •Heated floor. •Sound system (bathroom and closet). •A large custom built steam shower. •A very large bathtub with relaxation air bubbles. •Cherry double sinks and granite top vanity with lots of storage and cabinet space. •Two storage areas with granite top seats. •Heated towel warmer. •Beautiful tile work throughout the bathroom. As with any major renovation project there were some unexpected issues and challenges that Michael Nash resolved without any additional charges. Galley kitchen remodel. Michael Nash Design was hired to remodel my 1978 galley style kitchen into an updated open floor plan design with total replacement of hardwood floors on the first level of the home. The project included removing two walls, moving plumbing and changing electrical lines. At our first meeting CEO Sonny Nazemian suggested a design that greatly increased the storage, improved the layout, and incorporated the features on my wish list in the modest sized space. I felt very comfortable selecting MND after reading the high ratings from referrals, their design awards, their turn-key job basis, and their fixed price design levels. It was important for me to know the total remodel cost upfront and that there would not be a surprise midway through the remodel. After signing the contract, the design team was patient and helpful in my selection of the flooring, cabinets, sink, back splash, granite, and lighting. It was very convenient making selections in the Michael Nash showroom. The design included a built-in lighted china closet at the kitchen entrance and a glass front cabinet beneath a two tier granite counter near the dining area. Mid-way in the project Oliver designed an angled glass front cabinet with additional storage under the counter to end the row of cabinets near the dining area. With the open space design this addition added a WOW factor from the living and dining area and was at no additional cost. Sonny Nazemian strives to make sure the customer is satisfied and happy. I asked for a kitchen bar/table with cabinet storage beneath for the breakfast area. It did not work as I envisioned and was replaced with a custom designed granite topped table which matches the countertops. Needless to say, I am a very happy customer. All of the workers on this project were skilled, professional, and very pleasant. For example, the painter spent several hours repairing the previous owner's blotched DIY project on the foyer ceiling. This repair was not in the contract and done without saying anything to me. Another worker built the wooden range hood on site and then lowered the rooster shelf to accommodate my display items. The house was left clean each evening, the project manager called daily, and the site was visited several times by Sonny and the project managers. When the work start date was delayed, Sonny explained the reason and personally ensured the job completion date. The finished remodel is way beyond my expectations. Thank You Michael Nash!

I can't say enough good things about service provided by Michael Nash! After having bathrooms remodeled, they returned to add additional robe hooks and light switches ...all with no additional charges! They even installed recessed lights in an office while they had the electrician here. They are the best!

I am very pleased with my new master bath and adjacent closet. The process involved tearing out all the existing plumbing and electrical and starting from scratch. Now I have a beautiful shower with glass doors, a luxurious stand-along soaking tub and toilet. The cabinets are just lovely. The room looks much more spacious. The tiler was an artist and very professional. I would say that all the workers were polite and skilled at their jobs.

Michael Nash began the demotion for our major kitchen remodel in June of 2014. In preparation for the project, Oliver partnered closely with us to develop a fabulous design and layout that met our family needs. We loved the incremental process for selecting everything from the cabinet style/color to granite, flooring, appliances, sinks, faucets, knobs....everything! The entire process could have been overwhelming but Oliver immediately gained our trust and respect given his ability to anticipate (and interpret our needs). We had my kitchen area expanded by adding sunroom and additional kitchen space. We also had our bathroom renovated. I am very pleased with the overall quality of work and will like to commend Michael Nash specifically in the following areas. Design Consultation: Our Design consultation started with Sonny. During design phase Sonny was very attentive and listened to what we wanted. He made multiple suggestions and worked with us patiently. Material selection : Michael Nash was very flexible in design as well as material selection. They made us feel comfortable. They provided a lot of choices as well as good suggestions to make sure that the final design and material selection is appropriate for the lay out and over all design. Total remodel of master bathroom. They ripped out our builder grade shower, tub, vanity, etc. Ran new wiring and plumbing to bring everything up to code. We now have a large 25 sqft walk-in rain shower, free standing glass, heated floor, towel warmer, new recessed lighting, six foot comfort height vanity with individual mirrors and lighting, free standing tub with free standing faucets, and a mini-chandelier over the tub. When Sonny looked at the bathroom, he immediately talked about the vision for the new bathroom. We met with his design specialist Tony and in 2 hours, we had selected everything accept the towel warmer and mini-chandelier. The transformation from design to implementation came to fruition through the excellent tile work. It might of took Edgar 7 days to lay the tiles, but—total perfection—lines, angles, cuts—were flawless. Due to their and our schedule conflicts we started late, but the wait was well worth it. I was home during the remodeling effort. The workers that did the wiring, framing, plumbing, tile, installation, and painting would check with me at various times for my input and approval on various details: the angle of the shower bench, placement of lighting, exact placement of the tub, and niches for the shower and tub. Michael-Nash Design did a front porch on our home and would highly recommend anyone and everyone to do a deck with them. It is beautiful and far exceeded our expectations and desires. They were very professional and did amazing design on our porch pattern, benches, and planter boxes. They kept the pattern flowing all the way through the entire project. People stop and ask us about the porch and who did it. It is a show stopper. At night is it spectacular with the low level lights and appearance. We could not be happier with the outcome. We would use them again and again!!! Well done bravo!

Michael Nash performed several remodel projects in my home simultaneously including 2 bathroom remodels including adding a steam shower, replacing the fireplace front and mantle with beautiful stonework and a complete redesign and build of our master bathroom. The jobs were completed professionally and expertly with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship. The employees of Michael Nash were professional and courteous. The cleaned up completely each day. I always looked forward to the phone call that would describe the next days work. I endorse them completely.

We had our kitchen remodeled by Michael Nash from January-March of this year. Our project included partially tearing down a wall and switching the gas line from one side of the kitchen to the other. We hired Michael Nash for their quality of work, longevity and turn-key model of business. Meeting and going over plans with Sonny Nazemian gave us the confidence that we had chosen the right company. During the remodel, the project manager touched based with us daily to see how the day’s work had gone and inform us with what the next day would bring. So we were always kept in the loop. After the project, we were appreciative to have team member Shahin available. It was his task to tie up loose ends and ensure that there were no lingering issues or problems. We hired Michael Nash to renovate our kitchen and den area. The project involved removing a wall and creating a huge kitchen and sitting area. From the time we met Sonny, we knew that Michael Nash would be the contractor for us. His design idea for our space was exactly what we wanted. He made the most of the space while incorporating our needs as well as our budget. He designed extensive counter space, a sizeable pantry, mail/homework area, and bookcases around the fireplace. After signing on with Michael Nash, we met with the design team who spent many hours with us while we decided on the right look for our renovation. They worked with us very closely to make sure the finished product would be exactly to our liking. They were very helpful with the design ideas making sure the kitchen was on trend and functional. The construction team that worked on our house was top notch. They delivered quality workmanship and were very precise with their work. On top of that, they were very friendly and communicative about exactly what was being done each day. Another thing we appreciated was that the crew also asked questions before making assumptions about our choices even to the smallest detail such as where the lighting and outlets were to be placed, exact location of the knobs and handles and where the island would be positioned. They cleaned up the house each evening and made sure that the area was safe. Another plus with working with Michael Nash was that unexpected work did not cost us extra. After demolition it was clear that the plumbing required significant changes to insure the rooms had an equal ceiling height. We were extremely grateful that this was taken care of without issue. During the building process, we had a few concerns including build out of our window, stonework around the fireplace and length of our job. When we expressed our concerns to Sonny, he was open and genuine about working through the solutions. The window and stonework were adjusted much to our satisfaction. Sonny explained the reasons for the longer timeline of our project and then personally ensured he would put a rush on the job completion. As for the product and the end result, we are absolutely amazed. After living for some time with a 1961 poorly designed kitchen, our updated Michael Nash kitchen is a dream come true. The work is stellar and we could not be happier. We have a stunning kitchen that we will enjoy for years to come.As a footnote, we decided we were unhappy with the height of our window so Michael Nash replaced it as absolutely no extra charge. We are very grateful and now have a huge bay window looking out at our backyard.

It is without reservation and, indeed, with pleasure, that I offer my highest recommendation for Michael Nash Design Build & homes/Custom Kitchens. They completely redesigned our kitchen, taking our thoughts about what we wanted and quickly and expertly providing a general concept and then design that exceeded all of our expectations. They fully renovated our kitchen, including expanding it by bumping the exterior wall out approximately 2’ by 12’. New cabinets and appliances were added, along with new flooring and lighting. An island was added, as was recessed lighting and hanging lights over the island. The heat was vented under the cabinets. All within a very reasonable budget, with an outstanding result! They also added a washer/dryer closet on the 2d floor, off the hallway, with unobtrusive intrusion into the library, in a corner; full plumbing was added, and again within a very reasonable budget. Outstanding result!

Complete remodeling of my kitchen, mud room and wash room. Our home in Springfield, VA was built in 1977 and the permanent furnishings were originals, aged and in need of remodeling in the Spring of 2014; faced with the dilemma of selecting the right contractor we began to research contractors. We read numerous reviews and the Michael Nash company kept rising to the top. Being very cynical by nature, my wife and I then sought input from friends and neighbors who had had their kitchens recently remodeled. Several companies were recommended, but only one consistently received high praise for quality of work, affordable price, and pleasurable experience. The Michael Nash Company delivered as promised: absolutely the very best quality of work and not only an affordable price but the very best price! I use the word “price” and not estimate to describe the cost because unlike most companies who nickel, dime you on cost during the project, the Michael Nash Company’s quoted price was written in stone. During the remodeling process, no matter what we changed, no matter what we asked for, the Michael Nash Company delivered no questions asked, no increased cost, just an assurance that we “would be happy and satisfied.” And we are! What surprised both my wife and me was how pleasant our experience was from the design phase to the last finishing touches of paint. We approached this process with some trepidation that quickly turned into excitement and fun as our dreams took form. When we purchased our home, we knew that we wanted to remodel the master bathroom and closet area. We thought that the space could be better utilized and wanted to customize it to our needed. We had no idea where to begin with this project, and contacted Michael Nash based on the excellent reviews, award winning remodel projects and their ability to both design and construct the space. From the moment we met Sonny, we knew that Michael Nash was the right choice. We really liked Michael Nash was a one stop shop – we didn’t have to order the materials ourselves or go to many locations or stores to pick out the fixtures, and that the project would be “turnkey” – no towel bars to install or other final details for us to complete. Sonny presented a design option with an estimate, and also provided us with the option to work with one of his designers to explore other design options. We contracted with Michael Nash in November of 2013 to do a full closet and master bathroom remodel. We had to wait several months for them to begin, but we were not in a rush, and felt it was worth it to work with a company with the number of years of experience. When the project began in June, we were impressed with how quickly and cleanly the demolition was completed. After that, we experienced a slight delay in schedule. We contacted Sonny, and from there everything went smoothly. He personally checked in on our project weekly, and made sure we were informed of the progress and next steps. The crews worked efficiently and even worked on the weekend to make up for the prior delay. When the project was complete, Michael Nash was true to their word – the bathroom and closet were totally turnkey. We were absolutely amazed at the transformation and the attention to detail in everything from the design to the installation, and felt that the time it took was well worth it. In each phase of the remodeling process we worked with professional staff with the proper training to assist us. First, professional staff created a greatly improved kitchen design that would utilize space more efficiently. Next, another kitchen designer assisted us in choosing cabinet style, color and functionality. Third, appliance selection went smoothly with the help of their professional appliance expert in partnership with a local appliance warehouse. Precisely because of their extensive staff, any potential delays or problems have been quickly addressed and solved as soon as possible. Sonny Nazemian, President and CEO, has been responsive on numerous occasions to our questions and needs. Tony Hosseini is the kitchen designer who assisted us with all the selections from flooring and cabinets all the way through drawer pulls. Most impressively, he was patient while we sifted through choices of pendant lights, faucet styles, back splash tiles and the granite countertop. Tony’s calm demeanor has been invaluable to us in making these decisions. We were hung up on our decision over the pendant lights for over a week, but we never felt rushed. This week I sent Sonny an email about my concern that the remodeling would not be finished by our deadline date, due to a few delays. Our first grandson is to be born within two weeks so a non-functioning kitchen would be unacceptable. Sonny called me with in fifteen minutes of receiving my email, and told me he would make sure the cabinet installers would be at my house the next morning. As promised, the professional installers did come and will be installing all of our cabinets this week. Earlier, we were concerned about the delay on the new garden window that will be installed over the sink. It appeared as though the delivery of the garden window was holding up the whole project and again our completion date would be effected. After bringing it to the attention of staff and Sonny Nazemian, the decision was quickly made to take out the old sliding door, build the half wall, and cover the window area with plywood until the window arrived. This meant the cabinet installers could begin immediately and keep the schedule on track. As the kitchen remodeling takes place each week, we are thankful that Nash's staff is conscientious, thoughtful and has an eye for detail that is essential in making the job runsmoothly. Michael Nash's staff has lead us carefully through a long list of tasks that would otherwise would have been impossible on our own. I have used Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes over the last 10 plus years to completely remodel my kirchen and master bathroom, install new window treatments, replace carpet wih hardwood floors on two levels of the townhouse, replace all the bannisters, and replace two sets of sliding glass doors with french doors. We hired Michael Nash to remodel the entire main level of our 45-year-old single family house plus adding the front entrance and back additions to the house in Vienna. We were in the middle of interviewing three contract firms when we contacted Sonny. We had a great experience with Michael Nash for our Master bathroom remodel. They rip out everything down to the studs and start with a blank slate. The price they quote is firm fixed price. Any problems do no increase the cost. They also have a very wide selection of cabinets, faucets and tile at their warehouse. My bathroom looks like it came from a magazine. I plan on using them again for other projects.

We had five companies bid on the project of finishing our basement. We requested a family room, bedroom with egress, bathroom, laundry room, furnace area and workroom complete with storage. Michael Nash company set themselves apart at the start, showing us a more functional layout than we could ever have imagined. We could not be more pleased that we selected them for our basement project. The quality of their workmanship and the professionalism of their workers was excellent; the quality of the materials used was far beyond what we had anticipated. They kept our utmost satisfaction in mind throughout. We could never have imagined a more gorgeous living space - our dark and ugly unfinished basement was transformed. It is a gracious and inviting lower level of our home, almost doubling the size of our living space.

The materials Michael Nash has used were very impressive, either the granite countertop or the cabinets. They also used bronze pipes for my laundry room change. The tiles were also good imported from Italy. It's in general a great result after the project was finished.

Michael Nash was contracted to perform a complete Kitchen remodeling and replacement of hardwood floors on the entire first level of our home. The remodeling began with an architectural consultation and design performed by CEO/President Sonny Nazemian. The initial design included alternatives and options based on my wife and my preferences and Sonny's professional input. Once finalized, Michael Nash's personnel guided us through the process of determining the construction schedule based on the availability of Michael Nash's directly employed working staff. Visits to the showroom and appliance wholesaler were conducted to select everything from cabinets, kitchen tile, appliances and flooring down to the cabinet hardware. This was a very easy process conducted almost completely in their extensive showroom. Once construction began the entire existing kitchen required gutting and painting, followed by electrical and plumbing work, lighting, tile flooring installation, cabinet and counter installation, replacement of a large window, addition of French doors and finally the placement of our new appliances. Near the completion of the kitchen, a Michael Nash flooring crew was dispatched to replace our worn and outdated hardwood floors. Each room was methodically installed with a minimum of disruption and completed within just a few days. Workmanship, which included custom build-out of an angled island and a custom wooden range hood, was outstanding. The use of Michael Nash employees is an advantage over the hiring of multiple contractors. They assume a sense of ownership on the job. Sonny ensured us our accepted design could be tweaked even after construction began and we were pleased that the company stood behind this promise. For example, when we decided at the last minute to forego extending the kitchen tile out into the foyer and go with hardwood instead, Michael Nash was flexible and accommodated the design change. Even after the job was completed we decided the new foyer chandelier we selected was too small. Michael Nash agreed and replaced the fixture with a more expensive model at no additional material or labor cost. Overall we feel Michael Nash strives to complete an engagement with the customer being satisfied even when the unexpected normal construction glitches are encountered. During installation of the hardwood floors we discovered the foundational subflooring near our front entryway was rotted out. Michael Nash simply had their carpenter repair the subflooring the same day and continued the work without delay. Michael Nash has continued to work with us to ensure that items on our closeout punch list are being addressed to our utmost satisfaction.

We wanted three bathrooms totally remodeled. We went to Michael Nash based on good reviews and the pictures of renovated bathrooms on the website. We met and talked to Sonny Nazemian and explained what we wanted to do—a complete remodel of three 50 year old bathrooms. Sonny worked very hard to give us the best construction for the best price. This included accepting the Angie’s List coupon and giving us a discount for signing a contract to redo all three bathrooms at one time. In addition, he told us that the remodel would include resolving any issues with the plumbing, electrical, mold, or anything else that arose once the construction began. There were three levels of design—basic, mid-level, and luxury. We chose the basic package for the basement bathroom, and the mid-level package for the other two. The price to re-design, completely gut, and rebuild our bathrooms was very competitive. When we signed the contracts (one for each bathroom), we received copies of each. Before meeting with a designer, Martin came to the house to look at all of the bathrooms and talk to us about the project sequence. Subsequently, another project manager came to take measurements of all of the bathrooms. We met with the designer three times to design the bathrooms-one meeting for each bathroom. The designer very patiently walked us through everything we needed and showed us many options for tile, fixtures, cabinets, etc. He drew up the plans for each. We then met again for a final review to make sure that the plans were drawn the exact way the bathrooms were laid out. Afterward, we received a detailed copy of the plans, including tile, hardware, fixtures, paint, and design layout. There were several delays due to the unexpectedly extreme winter weather of 2013-14, but each time, Martin or Sonny called to let us know. The bathrooms required a complete "gut" to the studs. In addition, the bathroom in the basement had one wall common to the garage that needed to be reframed as the metal shower stall had rusted out. The project crew reframed the shower area, adding insulation which had never been there making that bathroom more comfortable to use in the winter. They removed tubs, the rusted out shower stall, plumbing fixtures, vanities, mirrors, and wall and floor tiles. In addition to replacing those items, Michael Nash added two large wall niches inside the tub and shower areas, recessed ceiling lights, and exhaust fans, and a framed mirror in the main bathroom. In the master bedroom bathroom, they removed the tub, replacing with a shower area with a seat, a shower head as well as a hand-held shower fixture. We also opted to have a rain-shower installed. The project crew had to jackhammer the floor of the basement bathroom to replace old iron pipes with new drains to prevent future problems. They had to replace other plumbing as well to bring them up to code. Once the project began, the job remained on schedule. While we had selected all of the hardware, tile, etc., prior to the project start, all of the bathrooms required a number of discretionary decisions. The crew always consulted us in advance—explaining the available options—so that the result reflected our personal tastes. Everyone who has viewed pictures of the completed work has been amazed by the overall transformation and the quality of the workmanship. We have had many requests for the name of the company we used. Our project crew, Abel and Dennis make a wonderful team. They came every day, always at the same time. They were always professional, courteous, and efficient. There were times during the project that Abel and Dennis needed to work later than expected to be ready for inspectors. They asked if they could do so, which of course we agreed to. They also worked on Saturdays when necessary to complete an aspect of the project. They were without fail, pleasant and professional. They were also respectful of the fact that we have three cats and made sure that they closed the doors to the outside so that our cats would not “escape.” They did an outstanding job totally remodeling three bathrooms that were original to our 50 year old house. They were responsive to issues we brought up during the remodel. Abel and Dennis did a great job and worked quickly and efficiently. They sealed off the work area so that the rest of the house stayed as dust-free as possible. And the trash was taken away on a regular basis. Our project manager, Martin, called every day to make sure that we were happy with the way the project was going. He also told us what to expect the next day. Once the first bathroom was completed, we received a call from a quality control manager. Each week, he called to ask our opinions of the project. Every week, someone from Michael Nash would come to do a walk through. Even Sonny surprised us with several visits. From the start, each part of the design and construction was done with precision and expertise. Our dream of three beautifully remodeled bathrooms became a reality. And we couldn’t be happier. Importantly, EVERY promise made by Michael Nash was fulfilled with no reminders from us. They were on top of everything. Since the completion of our laundry room makeover, I have been so happy with the transformation that Michael Nash produced that I wanted to share before-and-after pictures. Looking at the “before” pictures, it is easy to understand why the condition of the laundry became a major reservation when deciding whether to purchase this house. While the room was sufficiently large and had a window facing east, everything about the room was unfinished: the floor was cement, the walls and ceiling were exposed and the studs, the (insufficient) insulation, a jumble of wiring, and the ductwork were all appallingly visible. The transformation could not have been more dramatic. Michael Nash installed a closet for hiding the electrical panel wiring, heated tile floor (which sat directly on the cold foundation), kitchen-caliber upper and lower cabinets, recessed lighting and backsplash lighting, 15-feet of granite countertop which provided separate areas for sorting dirty and clean clothes, a massive metal sink (big enough to defrost a turkey) in place of the old slop tub, four seven-foot storage cabinets, which have resolved all our storage needs, and a new window and shade to replace the old builder’s window. Throughout the process, the crews were professional and polite, thoroughly protecting the rest of the house during construction, cleaning the work site on a daily basis, paying close attention to detail, producing a quality product, and displaying the patience of Job with this customer’s stream of “could you do just one more thing.” Having relied upon Michael Nash’s design expertise and construction skills, I can confidently recommend them in both areas.
