We seek a balanced synthesis of program, budget, sustainable design strategies, historic context, and adaptability. Hillside homes and sustainable design are two of the firm's areas of expertise. Michael Faulconer, AIA, NCARB Principal Licensed in the States of California & Hawaii 1977 B. S. Architecture Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA With a successful local practice located in downtown Ventura, Mr. Faulconer has been a key player in the revitalization of downtowns in Ventura County and beyond for the past thirty years, with projects ranging from custom homes, mixed use developments and retail to multi-family housing. He has won numerous awards for designs that are sensitive to the needs of the client as well as the community.

Mike is a great listener and skillfully included our ideas for this major remodel, working with us to save money and get the best value for our dollar. Worked well with our contractor during the project when changes were needed. Honest and straightforward billing. He has a long track record with the local authorities, simplifying the permitting process. Would use him again in a minute.

Mike Faulconer designed a great home for us we have under construction right now. You get decades of hands on experience when you work with Mike. He worked hard to help us stay within our budget while designing a home with all the features we wanted. He produced our plans quickly and also turned around revisions quickly, which resulted in cost efficiency. Every suggestion he offered improved the design quality and character of our home. Mike really listens to you and is easy and fun to work with.

Michael Faulconer is an excellent architect. He listened carefully to our ideas about remodeling our home. He took those ideas and turned them into a lovely and functional design in a timely manner. His knowledge and experience was put to work when I decided to add more windows after we had started construction. Adding windows required structural changes that were difficult. His positive attitude and attention to detail was refreshing. He made the changes and very quickly our project was back on schedule. Michael made the experience fun and exciting which I know, from building two houses, is not always the case. I would give Faulconer & Associates the highest recommendation for their professionalism and excellent design capabilities. Tom & Debbie Golden

We are using Faulconer & Associates on some extensive renovations on our home in the Ventura Hills. They have been very responsive and hands-on through the process. Their deep knowledge of the building code and approval process in Ventura has helped us get our project pushed through quickly and efficiently. They also came up with creative ways to cut costs on labor and materials while still allowing us to achieve our vision. We highly recommend Faulconer & Associates.

Mike was hired to design a house on an unusually shaped lot. And he nailed it! (Pun intended.) The house is just now being completed, but we think it's going to be absolutely fantastic! He's a creative guy!
