Working with Melissa to update our kitchen was a great experience. We weren’t looking to change the basic plan of the kitchen and she was willing to listen to our requests and offer good suggestions. Melissa saved us immense amount to time suggesting where to look for good quality products that weren't out of our budget and also available. Her sense of color and being able to go through a large amount of samples and pick a few to choose was amazing. If we weren’t happy with those choices she listened and offered alternatives. During this COVID year with backlogs of inventory and booked contractors she helped us negotiate that experience and figure out how things could be done in stages. We were exceedingly fortunate to have been introduced to Melissa. She went above and beyond to help stage our house for photos and showing. Working with what we have, and even loaning a few of her own items to tie a room together, she staged our house in a way that is aesthetically pleasing, yet enables us to continue to live here comfortably while it’s on the market. Having heard from friends that staging could be quite costly, we were pleasantly surprised when the final bill arrived. We have a large Victorian home that was damaged down to the studs from a fire and water damage. Used to renovating one room at a time, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the prospect of picking out paint colors for the entire three floors as well as the exterior of the home. Melissa was wonderfully helpful. She was sensitive to our desires to keep colors true to the history and character of the house, and she was extremely knowledgeable about what would work. Her attention to detail was wonderful. The exterior of the house is now painted in six different colors, highlighting the house's architectural details, and neighbors have given us positive reviews! It is also no exaggeration to say that between walls, ceilings, and trim, about 20 different colors we used in the interior. We could not have done it without her. She also gave us excellent advice in choosing bathroom floor and wall tiles, as well as historic wallpaper reproductions, and she responded quickly to all our questions. Melissa helped us reach our goal of giving each room its own special character while still having a unified feel to the home. Highly recommended.

I never imagined picking out paint colors could be so challenging, but a few months ago I found myself in a living room full of painters, suddenly realizing I needed an experienced interior design professional with more advanced color and texture knowledge and experience. Melissa selected colors both bold and subtle: her choices were unusual – nothing I would have chosen. Utilizing a complex chameleon like subtle grey-white on the ceiling, full-spectrum creamy white on the walls, and a bold dark blueish charcoal for our old brick fireplace wall, Melissa’s deep knowledge of color helped transform this late mid-century Adirondack style pine-paneled living room into a brighter, more modern space with a Scandinavian flair! And so, after such a stunning transformation of the living room area, we are very excited about working with Melissa to remodel our entire home now, beginning with the kitchen and dining room. Sitting with Melissa in our dining room a few weeks ago as she quickly transforms room layouts on her tablet – re-arranging cabinetry, counter tops and surfaces, islands, appliances, furniture, etc. – deftly swapping out colors, decor and other details, demonstrating room views from every angle, we are able to see before us a fully-realized room-by-room home renovation, delivering our home to this new millennium. Melissa is a dream to work with. She has endless creative design and layout ideas catering to client’s taste and lifestyle, always considering practical and ergonomic functions. She uses interactive layout and design software to show clients the many possibilities for room layouts including cabinetry, counter tops, appliances, windows and doors, etc., helping to visualize the finished result during the planning stage. Melissa Pollack is amazing. She took what would have been an overwhelming, daunting and probably defeating project, large in scope, and turned it into an exciting, fun filled and enjoyable process that ultimately produced a result better than could have been imagined. Melissa took care of everything. We had a 50 year old house that needed to be stripped to the studs and the results are amazing. Melissa guided us on everything from flooring, to wall placement, to the design and complete decoration of two new bathrooms, three rebuilt bedrooms, to furniture styles, lighting layouts, colors, fabrics, - and thousands of other decisions, small and large. Moreover, Melissa served as a quasi-general contractor and coordinated with our contractor, with plumbers, electricians and even helped us find skilled craftspeople when needed. Luck was on our side when we met Melissa and I cannot imagine every finding anyone else who could have entered our lives and helped us as she has done. I only hesitate to recommend Melissa because I do not want her to become so busy with other clients that she has less time for us. You can never go wrong working with Melissa and Bespoke Decor.

Melissa was creative and brought fresh ideas to our decoration but listened carefully to mesh her ideas with our goals. She did a great job helping us pick paint colors and created a detailed list ready for us and the painters. I continue to rely on her as we move beyond paint to picking other colors and furniture. Lots of really good ideas and we look forward to continuing work with her on other home decor projects.

Melissa's guidance and direction are invaluable. I'm a DIYer, single Mom, Homeowner...I contacted Melissa through Houzz when I was stressing out over all the color possibilities and the cost/time of not being happy with it, etc. I knew where I wanted to go and had no idea how to get there. I have a dated Mid-Century Modern home that I wanted to be true to the architecture without "looking like a time warp back to the 60s". Melissa is giving me the direction and suggestions I need while being conscientious of my budget. Melissa is very responsive to being contacted, and was always on-time. I've worked directly with Melissa at Bespoke twice. First when we built our new office for our brand new business at Country Life Real Estate. With a blank slate we were completely lost with what to do with it. Melissa came in and did a color palette for us that was not only exactly right, but we would never have put it together in such a great way ourselves and we get compliments every time someone walks through the door.
