Did nice work and were quick about the build. However during hand over told to wait At least 12 months to let the house settle before getting them out to do any repair works and they would contact us at that time. Now 15months after hand over contact them to have the minor cracks in walls etc fixed up to be told sorry there is only a 12 month warranty on those things. So they tell you to wait until after there warranty runs out seems pretty dodgy business practice to me.

I bought my home in 2013 with my late husband. My home is on the market and is under contract. I was devastated to learn from the building inspector that there is no termite barrier, the wood was treated and a mesh fitted but no termite barrier. Whilst this is not a legal requirement most purchases will ask for a substantial reduction which is the case with my home. It was a spec home and being relatively new to Queensland I knew nothing about termites, my husband dealt with everything and he obviously didn't know either. I am now in a very difficult situation as I was moving into a retirement village and need a certain amount to cover costs of moving etc. In general the house was very well finished and I have added things and kept it to a high standard. Initially the customer after service was extremely poor but the girl I spoke to today was very helpful and called me back with the results of her findings I thank her for that. However, that doesn't help with my predicament. Anyone purchasing a spec home with McLaughlan homes should check before purchasing and anyone building with them should make sure it is included. I feel very let down and will probably end up staying here. I will be 70 next month and was looking forward to a new life.

I am writing as a current customer building with Mchlachlan. I am now up to my third site supervisor and 2nd CRM. Minimal communication in regarding the progress of my home especially in relationship to being able to organize and provide my trades when they actually commence. In my opinion I thought we would be partnering with Mclachlan in the buildng of our home. In my opinion this certainly has not been the case. There has been several issues and defects raised in the last three months with site supervisors which still are not fixed despite being billed for them. I will update this review and advise of the outcome as we are approaching completion of our home.

I recently finished construction of my third house with McLachlan Homes. The quality of the home as usual is second to none. The slab went down in November 2018 and even with a month shut down over Christmas I have now been in my new home for a few weeks. It has been finished off beautifully and I am extremely happy and love every aspect of it. Brad is so easy to deal with and offered great ideas along the way to make the home even more appealing and livable for us. Any questions or issues that I raised along the way were addressed immediately and sorted out without any problems whatsoever. Its such a pleasure to build a home with someone who understands and appreciates that it is actually a home and not just a house. Thanks again Brad and the team at McLachlan Homes.

We have just moved into our beautiful home built by McLachlan Homes. We could not be happier with the end result - it has surpassed our expectations. Our experience with the sales and design team was exceptional. Adam was extremely patient, methodical, professional and committed to providing us with a design solution that met all our requirements. Building a house can be stressful and undoubtedly has challenges and issues that require resolution. Our experience was no different, however, while challenges arose through the process we received an excellent and understanding response to any of our concerns. A slow start to construction was remedied with a completion date occurring several months in advance of the anticipated end date. All trade personnel working on our project were polite, helpful and respectful. Again any issues were resolved readily. Cost variations were minimal and variations were the result of our choices to include significant improvements to the project. I would happily recommend McLachlan Homes for anyone considering building a new home.
