We began working with Matt near the end of the architectural design process. He was able to recommend a few changes to the architect, and we were also able to decide as a team which details would be decided on site during the construction process. Matt Komo, founder of MJK Homes helped transform our house into a new beautiful home. When we bought the property in Los Altos Hills, we were thoughtful and deliberate over whom to hire as our General Contractor, and we are so fortunate and grateful that we made the right choice in Matt and MJK Homes. Matt is a true professional and an absoultely amazing contractor. We hired Matt as our general contractor on a major remodel of our home. He was always on top of the project and closely guided his subcontractors. From the start Matt's professionalism is obvious -- we invited 3 contractors to bid on the job -- the first two contractors brought their plumbing sub to our initial meeting. Matt brought all of his major subs (I think there were 6 or 7) to our first meeting. This allowed him to scope the job accurately, both cost and length of the project (we moved back into our home exactly on time -- to the day). His subcontractors are all highly skilled craftsman. We simply could not be happier with the result. Matt stayed involved even after the project was finished. For example, I hired one of Matt's subs for a small project after we moved back into the house. The service I was receiving was subpar and I decided to tell Matt. Within 48 hours the problems were resolved entirely -- keep in mind that Matt was not involved in this project, he just stepped in to make things right. I could go on with more examples but let me summarize this way: If we ever need a contractor again we would wait a year for Matt's schedule to open before using someone else. We had heard a lot of positive feedback before hiring Matt and he still far exceeded our expectations.
