I have over 26 years experience in the field of Building design to include Custom homes and Commercial and Hospitality buildings and spaces to include, Interior and Landscape design. I cover the whole design process from simple concept sketches and renderings to full construction plan documents for everything from a Luxury Custom Home or a home Remodel and renovation to Restaurants or Commercial + Retail Building and Interior design. My wife and I have known Matt for a few decades now. We've toured several of his custom homes in the Sedona area and fell in love with his old world design charm. So when it came time to go through a major remodel of our 4,200 sq ft home in Peoria, AZ in 2008 is was very easy to make the decision of whom would design it and ensure no details were overlooked throughout the build process. Every room was a total makeover. And some were completely transformational like our kitchen and bar "The Red Velvet Lounge". In addition to the design, Matt helped source affordable, custom furniture, unique light fixtures and many more items. He also helped find the right craftsman to install the puzzle-like real rock walls, fabricate much of our wood work inside and pergola outside from raw wood materials. We were more than happy with the final outcome.

Matt was hired to design plans for our home in Sedona, Arizona as well as see the project through. We are contemporary thinking people, love unusual designs with a "Wow" factor. Matt accomplished this while still working under a green intent.

Matt completed the initial design, building massing, and architectural theme for a mixed use creek front project that included hospitality, commercial, and restaurant components. He brilliantly designed the project to blend into its environment by using local stone and other materials while at the same time creating consumer interest and intrigue. Matt Dougan routinely met deadlines and was an incredible member of the design team.
