We were very pleased with the fireplace stone work completed by Martell Custom Stone. We contacted 3 contractors to provide an estimate on re-facing our fireplace. Matt's presentation was the most thorough and he fully understood the look we were seeking. The work was completed in a quality manner. He and his partner were very respectful of our home, minimized disruption during the project and cleaned up once they finished. The job was completed within budget and the timeframe quoted. We would definitely use this company for any future stone work projects for ourselves and highly recommend others consider them for their projects.

Matt and Blaine worked diligently over four days to replace the ceramic tile that covered a pedestal that surrounded our peninsula fireplace. Along with replacing an ugly 1970's turquoise tile with earthy stone, we replaced the peninsula fireplace with a new Empire direct vent. Matt expertly coordinated with the fine folks at Source Julien (Ryan, Ken, Justin, Pat, and Joe) in the construction of a steel lintel to support the mantel that we requested. The facing of the pedestal was done with cultured stone, Country Ledge Echo Ridge, and the platform and mantle with Canadian Bluff Flagstone. The stone was chosen from the very helpful folks at Concrete Services. They made an extra effort to bring down a palate of Canadian Bluff Flagstone for me to examine more closely. Everything went like clock work and we're very happy with the result. We would highly recommend Matt and Blaine for any masonry work you may be considering.
