Review of Masterpiece Staircase & Millwork I recently decided to replace the old/outdate handrails and balusters in my home. Both upstairs and downstairs. I contacted several Contractors and just felt that they were not a good fit or that I was being taken advantage of by my zip code and my lack of knowledge in the trade. Just as I was about to place the project on hold, I found Masterpiece Staircase & Millwork. By the look of their web-site and the type of work that was showcased, I truly thought that my little job would not be in their interest. I was wrong. I called and spoke with Steve Lukens and was completely set at ease. I knew this was the company for me, if they would just be interested in my project. I made an appointment with Steve to come to the house to review the scope of the work and to provide an estimate. I found Steve to be an extremely nice person, easy to work with, a stellar sense of humor, extremely knowledgeable and fair in his price. Little did I know – I hit the jackpot – Steve is a Master in his industry. After accepting his estimate, we made some final adjustments based on my budget and set a target date for the job. Steve held his promise and was ready to install as promised. He came to my home, on time, with the Installer (Larry), went over the project with him in detail and left me in the professional care of Larry. Larry began work immediately. Right from the start I felt this gentleman is a true Master Craftsman and I am in good hands. Larry was extremely polite, personable and respectful of my home. I knew he was very knowledgeable and enjoyed his trade with each task he completed. Not to mention he was very patient with my questions. The end result was my project looking 100% professional and my home looked as it did before he arrived. Of course, much more current with the new handrails, balusters and detailed trim. I would completely recommend Masterpiece Staircase & Millwork to any family, friends, or anyone looking for professional workmanship at a fair price.
