I used Maria's services to make decisions on the exterior of my house. We had so many confusions and so many ideas that we were not able to decide what to do and what would look good. She simplified the process for us and came up with a very simple and elegant way to deal with some not-so-beautiful elements on out house. Her advice does not involve getting complicated stuff done which is great. Her advice on windows, front door etc was very valuable. We will be following all of her recommendations. Her fees are very reasonable. Tricia is also very nice. The team is very responsive, ethical and pleasant. If you don't know where to start, start here. We were getting such complicated advices from architects and general contractors to tear things down and add things but I bet it all that would have ended up looking too kitschy. She not only tells you what will look good but also explains why. She also gives you different options so you can decide. If I ever do my interior I will use her services again!

I am so happy I attended Maria's class! She opened my eyes to how to choose color for my home. I had been struggling with what color to paint my living room and based on her advice, I completely transformed my living room. If you are looking for someone who knows color, Maria is the best choice out there on the market.

I've used Maria's service at least five times now. I wouldn't think of entering any home project that involved color without submitting it to Maria and Tricia. They've offered color suggestions for home exterior, kitchen wall and cabinet colors and wall and cabinet color in my daughter's house as well. Their color guidance has been invaluable to me!

My only regret with the “Save Me From Myself” package I ordered was that I hadn’t done it sooner! I had already wasted money, time and effort buying the wrong things for my living room, thinking with enough online research I could pull it together on my own. I knew something wasn’t right but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I stumbled upon Maria’s blog, read her E-books, and thought I’d take a chance with her online design services. Maria and Tricia came to the rescue! They immediately saw what the room needed, and put together a design solution that included the “why’s” and even sample products and sourcing. I immediately knew it was the right direction, and followed their advice. No more returns! When I received two new lamps that I thought were too large, I sent a photo and they assured me the scale would be perfect as soon as the other elements were added. They were right again. I also ordered an online consult to pick a paint color for an adjacent room. I knew something was wrong with the existing color, but wasn’t sure what direction to go. I was skeptical they could pick a new color from digital photos, but they amazed me again, giving me three options, along with the why’s. I’ve decided not to waste any more time or money on wrong decisions. My living room is far from being done, but I already love it, and will rely on these expert women to help me finish it out whenever I get stuck. They are amazing!

I enlisted the help of Maria Killam Inc. for Maria's "Save Me From Myself". I am still in the process of making changes BUT the help I received has been invaluable! I am no longer second guessing myself with online websites. I have a plan and I am proceeding at my own pace. The response time for the "Save Me From Myself" package and an additional query was faster than I expected. If you are drowning in a sea of online decor info, do yourself a favour and get in touch with Maria. I wish I had found her earlier!

As a designer I took Maria's True Color Expert Training to learn the right way to understand color and undertones. It's helped me so many times to specify the right colors for clients and the science behind color. The training is very thorough and there's so much information to learn. I loved this course so much I wish I could take it again! I highly recommend it.

I used Maria’s e-design services to finalize a tile selection for our master bath reno, as well as a paint choice for the adjoining master BR. I had several ideas but was unable to pull the trigger. Maria and her assistant Tricia cut to the chase. The input was quick, clear, concise and correct. Responses to several follow-up questions were handled with speed and attention to detail.

What neutral works in a space can be like finding a needle in a haystack and the color consult Maria provided did the trick! We were in the midst of remodeling the first floor of our starter home.. a 1920's american four square (stuck in early 1960's decor) and wanted a neutral wall and white accent color that would work with our original wood trim and hopefully coordinated with our slip covered sofa. I had a few ideas, that I picked up by reading her extensive blog, but was not confident enough to go ahead. I felt the cost was very reasonable considering the time and expense painting takes (and redoing it if you get it wrong!) and being online it fit in my schedule! I filled out a questionnaire and took photos of things we had to work with (trim, flooring, sofa, the rooms nearby). Within a short time our recommendations came back and we started to transform our space into the new century. We sold the home recently and our realtor had seen the space before the changes. He was amazed at the transformation.

I redid my kitchen 10 years ago and made cabinet, countertop and tile choices that ended up not working together. I have been painting and repainting for 10 years in an effort to tie these items together and flow with the rest of the house--EPIC FAIL. I purchased a 4 or 5 room color package from Maria Killam and sent in the required pictures. I will admit, I didn't expect much because I had tried every color under the sun to no avail. Happily, I was wrong! Trish solved the kitchen issue and then recommended colors that both worked with the kitchen and my furnishings in the adjacent rooms. I love my house again! THANK YOU

OMG I can't begin to tell you how wonderful Maria Killam's design service was for me ... and I live in Maryland! Maria and her assistant Trish Firmaniuk helped to pick bathroom vanity surfaces and paint for two bathrooms that were being renovated. Also, kitchen/family room, living room and master bedroom paint and all from Canada!!! I learned the importance of putting white paper behind paint samples in order to get a true reading of the colors! I had to take a lot of pictures before getting it just right in their eyes. They are so patient and so good at what they do and I just couldn't thank them enough for the great job they did, I love my house again thanks to Maria and Trish!!! They truly are color experts and I would definitely use them again!
