Happy Place is a full-service Interior Design boutique specializing in high-end residential designs. We offer creative design solutions to clients in the West and Central LondonArea. Happy Place was founded in 2015 and is the creation of Interior Designers Madelyn Dransfield and Julia Ryan, who combine their extensive experience earned in Australia and the UK, in Interior Design, Property Development, Marketing Strategy and Communications, Property Styling, Project Management, Furniture Sales and Procurement, and Colour Consulting. We pride ourselves on strong relationships with both clients and suppliers, valuing openness, communication, and respect. We collaborate with key partners to deliver our projects, including architects, craftsman, and artists. We are passionate about designing for the client, not for ourselves, breathing new life into each space and ensuring projects are stylistically diverse and have personality and individuality.

Benjamin Paisner

Happy Place designed the interior of my flat in 2018. After taking time to understand my own style, they helped me to design something that was significantly more stylish than anything I could have dreamed up on my own. They don't try to impose their own style or vision, but worked with me to help create something that was in line with my own personality and style. They are enormously patient, and I never felt rushed or under pressure. They are hugely practical and care as much about building a functioning living space as one that is beautiful. Great at sourcing fantastic-looking items at very low cost, and helped me to come in under budget. Perhaps most importantly, they are truly a pleasure to work with.

Happy Place helped me turn a neglected flat into my dream space. Madelyn and Julia worked magic to pull off a complete refurbishment, not just a restyle, in a tight budget, while I was mostly travelling for work. They really listened to what I wanted and got ‘me’ in a way that I never expected them to. Now, I have a calm oasis to come home to when business travel is done and a place that I love being in. Most of all, we had fun doing the project. I trusted them completely and they so exceeded my expectations.

Happy Place helped us design the perfect kitchen/living space. From design to sourcing to actually jumping in a van to Newport to ensure the prototype pattern for the stainless steel kitchen surfaces didn't miss its production slot. They were consummate professionals throughout and we loved the end result
