I have been taking forever to choose colors, but Lynn at ACC has been very patient and has sent me many helpful samples. When she visited on-site she gave me ideas for color combinations I had not thought of. Although I have not yet finished my painting project, I feel more secure in my color choices after having spoken to her. I will have her come back again when I am painting the next floor of my house.

It was a pleasure working with Lynn as we updated several HOA Club Houses and needed to coordinate wall colors and trim with new carpeting. Lynn provided various options to choose from and more often than not, I loved her suggestions. She not only respected my vision but completely elevated it and exceeded my expectations. She placed the different swatches around the house in order to pick up different amounts of light which was helpful. Lynn is a wonderful color consultant. She has helped me out twice with paint selections. When she visited my home the first time, she gave me a quick test to see what colors I tend to be drawn to and then helped me select colors for my family room, feature wall, kitchen, master bedroom and powder room. She ordered countless paint sheets for me to hang around the house to view at different times of the day so I could make a decision. Lynn never got tired of me coming back and asking for more paint samples and came back to my home a second time to help me narrow down my selection of the perfect colors for each room. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased. And then when my in-laws had a house fire and are having to redo their entire home, Lynn ordered more paint sheets for me to take to IL to help select all the paint for their entire house. Even when I was late asking for other paint samples she shipped them quickly to their IL address. Now I have helped my in-laws select the entire house color scheme and even though the project is not complete, I am pleased with the entire look of the colors selected. I just moved into a brand new house and I was over whelmed As you can imagine. I did not bring any old furniture with me and I was left staring some God awful contact or or painted walls. That when I contacted American color consultants. I could not have done it with out them. It took three hours but I now have a special color for each rooms personality . She makes daunting work easy by breaking down each room and color hues. I would strongly recommend using them it painless and I am so pleased with my choices I don’t have any doubts about my selections that I made. After many months of trying to select paint colors for my home without being able to make a decision for myself (ask my husband), I finally decided to call on a professional to assist me in making the color selections. I have been stuck in the paint selection process for two years with paint swatches all over my walls ! Lynn was an enormous help with paint selections for a two story family room and foyer. Her expertise identified colors that would blend with adjoining rooms, complimenting not clashing. She considers natural light, furniture tones and most of all, client input. Lynn Ishikawa is an incredible colorist! She exceeded every expectation we had in working with her. She is extremely professional, well-organized, efficient, friendly, engaging of the entire family and all our styles, gently directive, and thoughtful. She asked great questions throughout our time with us, which ultimately led us to decisions that we are exceedingly excited about. When we decided to paint our home interior, we spent many hours independently looking through different colors and trying out apps for color design. However, we found this process unsatisfactory, confusing, and stressful. Even modern technology does not cut it. We have an open floor plan, with high ceilings, and different rooms that can be viewed from one another. Therefore, the choice and integration of color really matters. In the layout, there is also different lighting and shading depending on the location in the room and time of day. We learned from a past color choice, which was okay but also did not add to our rooms, that once you make the choice you are keeping it for a while! We were looking for colors to make our house warm and inviting, but also to add something to it in terms of style. When Lynn came over, she worked with our whole family. She sat us down and went through an introduction to color, asked us a series of questions that related to each of our preferences, carefully walked us through each room, and continued to ask questions of us as she guided us to possible color choice options. We could not believe it. In a small fraction of the time, we had a consensus on each room. Not only that, but each of us also said “wow.” The colors flowed from room to room, considered shadowing and different lighting, and brought out the warmth and overall flow we hoped for and more. While we had one initially reluctant family member, having not worked with a colorist before, they later said “this is the best surprise and experience I have had with working on things in our home.” Therefore, we highly recommend Lynn. Also, if you have not worked with a colorist before we would suggest considering it. It is not only worth it for peace of mind about your painting project, but we truly found the process to be an art form.

Lynn at America's Color Consultants was amazingly helpful in my search for a new color scheme for my kitchen. She began by asking me lots of questions to get a clearer idea of what colors I actually LIKE, instead of simply what colors are in style now. That was a really helpful part of the process for me. She brought lots of color collections with her, but she narrowed down the choices for me to ones that she thought would work, given my preferences and the other colors that are already on the floor, counters, etc. This was super helpful, too, because I tend to get overwhelmed and frustrated in trying to choose from too many colors. We settled on a few good choices, and based on those choices, she then pointed me toward a few colors that would work for accents (such as on the kitchen door). So by the time she left, I had a few complete color packages that I could choose from! This was really exciting for me, because I am usually so scattered in how I approach interior decorating. Her suggestions make me think that I can actually have a kitchen that is attractive! About a week after her visit, I received in the mail super-sized color samples of the colors that we selected, much bigger than I could ever get at the paint store, which helped me settle on the winning colors. All through this, Lynn was kind and patient. She clearly has a good eye for color! If you are at wits end about what colors to choice, call Lynn!

We highly recommend Lynn, we worked with her for paint color consulting on our home’s interior. Lynn was friendly and professional and came to our house with ample resources and a wealth of knowledge & experience with color. We wanted a definite color change from the boring eggshell white throughout most of our house. Through a few simple questions and a short tour of the living spaces, Lynn was able to assess the current undertones of our home. She found a color palette that loved, while also complementing the existing paint in a recent addition that we did not wish to repaint. With the color palette selected, we received large 8-1/2"x11" paint samples in the mail shortly after our consultation. We were able to tape them up on many walls and get an even better idea of how the colors worked in the rooms at different times of day and lighting. Lynn's professional expertise and knowledgeable insight helped us tremendously, she made making such an important decision about paint color, very simple and stress free.
