Lanny has worked with us on multiple projects throughout the years and has always done a world-class job. He is a thorough and highly creative, and has a keen vision for how to build beautiful and inviting spaces (that are also highly functional!). Lanny was our architect on an extensive gut renovation for our five-bedroom Central Park West apartment in New York City. The project was highly involved and complex (including navigating the renovation rules for a 100-year-old landmarked building). He handled it all with aplomb from start to finish -- and helped create a wonderful finished project that we expect our family will call home for decades. We have and will continue to work with Lanny again in the future. We can't recommend him highly enough!

Lanny was the architect we selected for our gut renovation of a 2 BR, 1.5 BR co-op apartment on the UWS. He was wonderful to work with from start to finish of our project. He had some great recommendations on how to reconfigure the layout of our Living Room / eating area, which allowed us to maximize the entire space. He also helped us properly navigate the various NYC DOB codes which allowed us to build an amazing kitchen. We would recommend Lanny to anyone in need of an architect for their home improvement project!

We're on our second project with Lanny, this time an 1800's townhouse in the UES. The process has been smooth and professional including plan development, contractor bidding, city submittal and (so far) actual construction. We're in the middle of the job right now. Lanny helped me design and build the ultimate multi-functional offfice/gym/man-cave in our carriage house. He listened intently to everything I initially had in mind. He then helped to refine the idea and produce beautiful plans. He was very responsive to emails and calls throughout the process - and he never gave me a hard time when I wanted to make some changes to the plans. He did a lot of research in order to identify the right materials for each component of the project. I'm thrilled with the results and look forward to my next opportunity to work together with Lanny.

My husband and I used Lanny Lerner as the architect for an extensive project in our NYC apartment that involved redesigning and enlarging our master bathroom, changing the closet and wall space in three rooms, and creating a new lighting system in our living room and dining room. Living through a renovation that involved almost every room in our apartment was not easy, but Lanny was extremely helpful and always available during the entire process, working closely with our contractor and helping us with any issues that arose.

We had decided to move south and bought property and then decided to to build. There were two plans and of course trouble making up our minds, which one. Lanny was sent the floor plans, he gave us his idea which coincided with my wife's favorite plan. But there was a small problem, both plans had the bathroom through the closet. He reworked the plan and created a hallway to the closet seperate from the bathroom. He sent the plans to the builder and the builder loved it and so a new plan was born. So, thank you Lanny for keeping our clothing separate from the bathroom . He was a pleasure to work with..

Lanny has done multiple jobs for us over the past 6 years on our home in Bergen County, NJ. Starting with a complete remodel of the interior of our home – including redesign of bedrooms for my daughters as well as new bedroom and bathrooms where none existed. As new homeowners, Lanny brought numerous ideas we would not have thought of to make our home more functional. He created all of the necessary architectural plans and easily interacted with our contractors and the town to make sure everything went smoothly. Most recently we undertook a remodel of the outside of our home – including a new portico and entryway with similar stellar results

Lanny Lerner is my favorite architect. As an Interior Designer collaborating with Lanny on projects in Manhattan & Westport Ct. have been wonderful experiences and that is because Lanny is a great collaborative partner. He created a breathtaking three story glass staircase in Ct., columns of steel and expanses of glass on the rear facade uniting this with a shingle style front facade. A truly beautiful union. In Manhattan he was able to put a small powder room in a space that had only one bath. Lanny's use of space in this small apartment made it appear larger, turning a small one bedroom into a luxurious one bedroom with one and one half baths and a small library. Lanny is a joy to work with as he is always listening to peoples needs and suggestions.

We've worked with Lanny Lerner twice in the last four years, first during a major renovation of our two bedroom Greenwich Village apartment (completely gutted and redesigned), then combining it with the studio next door. Lanny brought great energy and vision to both projects, and guided us from planning and the vagaries of building approvals through general contractor selection and build out. When we balked at standard baseboard and trim, Lanny designed those elements for us, and they look terrific. Lanny's got all the professional tools, and a calm and cheerful disposition to boot. Having said that, he can lean on the trades when needed. We highly recommend his vision and his services.

We hired Lanny Lerner to design our new house which was completed in the summer of 2010. It was a unique Victorian design with colonial center hall interior. Lanny was extremely easy to work with and made design changes and alterations seamlessly and with great skill. When the interior wall structure was completed, we wanted a larger laundry room space. Lanny was able to accomplish it by incorporating a lavatory in our children’s den without reducing the useable space. The final result is that Lanny designed a beautiful house with unprecedented curb appeal and all the interior space we could ask for.

Sometimes, when I do an exciting project, I end up learning more about new technologies and materials than I ever thought I could. This was one of those projects. This was an extremely energy efficient structure using technologies that I had not used before.

Lanny was a consummate professional. He has done 2 projects with us so far. He helped us create an outside oasis which we live in all summer. He also designed our front portico , which people are still positively complimenting us on. We would highly recommend him . He made the design process very easy and was a pleasure to deal with.

I have had the pleasure of doing to major projects with Mr Lanny Lerner. Both in New York City in two different apartments. Both times Lanny was the architect and more . From bidding out the jobs to helping obtain permits to watching the finished product . Not to mention periodical visits that were above and beyond our contract . Not to use Mr. Lerner would be huge mistake on anyone's part. From terrines to obtaining reputable contractors there's no one better

Lanny Lerner is an outstanding architect, a consummate professional and without a doubt a great person. Our project was a two year project with many bumps in the road. Lanny was the only honest, steady professional person who helped us deal with a line of subcontractors. He designed a custom, amazing, one of a kind, home with features we had not seen in any other house. He was always patient and helpful, even kind to our children and there is no finer person that we could have hoped for. He is an understated talented architect with a real amazing eye to detail. He even wrote things into the contract down to the last detail that we were so grateful for and protected our interest with the contractors. You cannot have better person on your side who will always be straightforward and professional. I am a picky hard to please person who only expects the best. Lanny was the best.
