Lisa worked with us on a major renovation of our home which included complete cleaning and refinishing of extensive interior saltillo tile along with repainting and carpeting of four bedrooms. She was a pleasure to work with and addressed all of our questions and concerns before any work started. The contractors she recommended were diligent, courteous and did a great job. This work required close coordination between multiple contractors, movers, etc. and Lisa made sure all of this was carefully coordinated, scheduled and confirmed. Her handling of projects from concept to completion are performed in a most professional manner- on time and on budget. I am extremely happy with Lisa's work in my home. The main project was repurposing a bedroom to a home office/guest room. I had definite ideas about how I wanted the room to function, but no idea how to make it happen. Lisa has a professional and calm demeanor and I felt that she listened carefully and patiently to my ideas and questions. She helped me hone in on my style and provided a carefully drafted floor plan as well as great recommendations on flooring, custom cabinetry, furniture, lighting and color schemes. Lisa was extremely helpful in pre-selecting and providing specific material samples to simplify my choices. The project was completed on a relatively short timeline due to Lisa's efforts to keep the workmen and vendors on schedule. Now that the project is done I feel that the room is equally inviting as an office and as a guest room. I have received many compliments! Following recommendations from several friends, I added Lisa Gildar to my list of designers to interview for our remodel. Out of four, she was the easy winner, both in price and personality. We found Lisa to be a great listener with experience and wonderful suggestions. We remodeled our kitchen, family room, dining room, and guest bathroom with Lisa, and through her purchased/designed new furniture for those rooms as well as a few other rooms. Lisa designed a new front door for us, as well as quite a bit of our new furniture. She designed spaces that worked well with our existing decor while adding a new feel and look. I cook, bake, and entertain quite a bit, and wanted comfortable, attractive, but most importantly, truly functional spaces in which to work, live, and entertain. We achieved all of that and more with Lisa. We couldn't be more pleased. She worked well with the contractor, architect, and subs, recommended a few subs, assisted us in staying within our budget, checked in on the project when we were out of town, and provided is with updates. Lisa was easy to contact and communicate with throughout the job. It was truly a pleasure working with her, and I love our new home. I have since recommended Lisa to several friends and hope to work with her on future projects.
