Arlene Dean built my home in Decatur, GA. completed in March of 2014. Being an architect and interior designer I am, naturally, very particular. I have been in the home design business for over 35 years and have never, in all that time, worked with a finer builder. When I made the decision to build my "forever home” I sought out Arlene specifically, not even considering other builders, even though I had never worked with her or even met her. The fact that she lived in Decatur made it an even easier decision. I knew she would be completely hands on. She and her team proved me right. When looking for a lot in Decatur I snuck in some of Arlene's construction projects and saw that she used quality materials, including windows and doors, which meant a lot. She didn’t skimp on her framing or finishes and was obviously very meticulous. Her walls and floors were level and her finish carpenters were superb. I knew she used an excellent architect, Eric Rawlings (which many builders do not do, preferring stock plans from the internet or some guy that knows how to use a CAD program) and that she had vision beyond the standard builder spec two-story box with a front porch. This convinced me that she was the person to build my dream. Arlene was able to take my custom hand drawn plans and build exactly what I designed in under 6 months. Of course I made only two small changes and we had good weather, which helped in the timing. The fact that the whole process was a total pleasure was the icing on the cake, as building a home can be one of the most stressful things a person or couple can do. Believe me, I have done this for decades and worked with so many clients that vowed never to do it again because the experience was so bad due to builder issues. I can promise you will never say that after working with Arlene Dean. Talk to any of her clients and you will hear the same thing. She is the best!

Arlean and Leslie were wonderful to work with on our kitchen renovation project. The companies they work with along with their sub-contractors worked fast, had great ideas and together created a terrific end product. Leslie is personable, provides options, finds solutions, and is a perfectionist. She went over and beyond cleaning our kitchen from construction dust when she was not contracted to do so. She and Arlean checked in many times throughout the project and I trusted them, their opinions and I never for a moment was concerned at all. I would highly recommend them for any household renovation project or new construction. We will definitely use Arlean Dean Homes again. We are getting our basement done by Segway Properties and I have to say we don't regret the decision that we made at all. Their star employee by far is Brandon who is always professional and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. He is always around to answer questions and is extremely knowledgeable. If we were to ever build another custom home in Georgia, we for sure would call Brandon to get things done.
