I thoroughly enjoy working with Lea. I have worked closely with her on two residential renovations. Both were complete remodels of all finishes and fixtures. There are so many decisions that a homeowner has to make. I watched Lea assist both homeowners and guide them towards stress free decisions. As a general contractor, working on a project where the finish fixtures and finishes are selected ahead of time and are on site when needed is so important. Lea made that happen on both jobs. She is very pro-active with her communications and was always quick to get back to me when I had a question or concern. She is also good at problem solving. Every job has a handful of unforeseen issues that need solutions. Lea is easy to work with when issues come up and helps find solutions to keep a project running smoothly. Lea and her team from Preferred Kitchen & Bathroom recently completed a total remodel of our home. The remodel was necessitated by a home flood so we were trying to complete the design and execution phase as quickly as possible. The result exceeded our highest expectations. The design time invested by Lea, and the quality of the final installation, has given us our dream home. Lea listened carefully to our needs and daily routine and then incorporated them into her final designs with spectacular results. She was conscious of or timing and budget at every stage and was very happy to work with us to meet both. Her prior experience and design skills added a lot of great features to both rooms that we had not thought of, and her great project management skills made it all happen. Our home has been transformed and the entire job went without a hitch, was within budget and was completed within our very demanding timeline. From the very first meeting with Lea we felt totally confident in her ability to design and manage this project. That confidence was not misplaced, as the final designs for both rooms truly exceeded our expectations and the quality of the installation work was exceptional. A special shout out to Eduardo for his exceptional tiling skills and to Derek for the overall construction job. They both showed a tremendous attention to detail and quality in every aspect of their work. The whole crew under Lea's direction did a good job of minimizing noise and dirt when working, and cleaning up everyday to minimize the disruption to our daily lives. The sense of personal ownership they displayed was exceptional and made the entire project very painless as they worked on the house.Our neighbor’s were all very impressed with how efficiently they worked with each other in minimizing disruption in the neighborhood. I cannot recommend Lea highly enough. Working with her was a true pleasure. From our first meeting, I knew that I was in good hands and that this project was going to be great. She designed a gorgeous kitchen for me. In short, she completed a beautiful design, facilitated a hassle free installation, kept to her schedule and cost estimates - and in the end, left me with the kitchen of my dreams. For those of you who don't like long reviews I'll start with this; Yes, I highly recommend Lea Biermann of Preferred Kitchen and Bath and I would hire her again! Lea Biermann was our designer and she kept our job running like a well-oiled machine. There are really so many decisions to be made, big and small, that you must have someone who really knows their stuff - and Lea does. When she first gave us a timeline for the remodel, I was skeptical. Everyone I had spoken to about their remodel said it went much longer than was estimated. I am happy to say that that was not our experience. Everyone showed up on time, every day. Lea was able to work around any hiccups in the schedule (none the fault of Preferred, by the way) so time wasn't lost on the project. She was easily reachable and responsive throughout our remodel. Lea did a FANTASTIC job scheduling/ juggling all the different trades. We were so glad we chose a design/build firm to take care of all that. The contractors that Preferred Kitchen and Bath used for the various services were excellent at their job - especially Alex (who installed the cabinets and made our hood) and Eduardo (who installed our intricate backsplash). Their attention to detail was very impressive and we really appreciated that. We had many different people in and out of the house and they were all very professional, as well as friendly. The kitchen and laundry room, of course, are absolutely gorgeous!

I am delighted with my total kitchen remodel and highly recommend Lea and Preferred Kitchen and Bath for their great work. From the beginning to the end of the project, I was satisfied with their creativity, hard work, and excellent service. Lea has been a joy to work with! She is a talented designer and knew how to either make my preferences work or offer me better options. She paid attention to the smallest of details and continued to optimize things long after the plans were set. My phone calls and emails were promptly responded to. Lea took care of any problems that came up in a calm ans effective manner. The net result is a beautiful and extremely functional kitchen! Both my husband and I are thrilled with the results and are looking forward to using Lea and Preferred Kitchen and Bath for our next remodel!

We hired Lea to redo our kitchen based on the recommendation of a family member and she did an amazing job. We have a small space (and a small budget), but she really worked with us to get the most out of both. She has a great eye for design and had some terrific recommendations (lighting, paint etc.) that pulled the whole project together. We could not be more thrilled with the end result. We were also thrilled that she kept the project on time and on budget. She clearly has great relationships with her contractors who were all very professional. They showed up on time and left the work area neat and clean at the end of each day. No one believes us when we tell them the entire project took three weeks from start to finish. If I had the budget I would hire Lea to do every room in my house.

We decided on Preferred Kitchen & Bath for our kitchen remodel as we liked the idea of them managing the entire project. Lea was awesome as our designer and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Our project was actually more than just a kitchen remodel. In addition to all new cabinetry, countertops, flooring and appliances, Preferred Kitchen and Bath removed a wall between the kitchen and family room creating a large open living space. They relocated the heater/air conditioning to the attic, had tile flooring laid throughout the house except the bedrooms, updated the fireplace with added cabinets on both sides of the fireplace. During the design process, Lea listened to our ideas, was always available and gave us great suggestions as she guided us through the entire project. She made the whole process so much easier for us. We were given a detailed dated schedule before the work started and the project was completed as scheduled. All of the contractors, Desmond (heating and air conditioning), Alex (cabinets / baseboards), Derek (construction / electrical), Eduardo (tile / backsplash) and Damian (countertops) were very professional, on time, easy to talk to and made an effort to be as minimally disruptive as possible. We absolutely love our new kitchen and highly recommend Lea and Preferred Kitchen and Bath.

Our relationship with Preferred Kitchen and Bath goes back six years when we had decided to update our kitchen and an advertisement for a local business caught our eye. We stopped by their business and met Lea, the only designer we have used. We then started a long-term business relationship updating our kitchen, an upstairs bathroom, and just recently, our master bathroom. We needed a designer that could pull together all of the trades and implement designs that met our goals of modernization at a reasonable cost. Lea was very professional and exceeded our expectations. She accompanied us to various vendors to ensure we found the right materials, styles, and colors, to create a beautiful result! With any large project there will be hiccups but Lea and her team were able to propose solid solutions that we all could agree upon on the rare occasions when that happened. The various trades that came to our home did so on time, and were respectful of our home. Professional preparation, clean-up, and results. I have no reservations recommending Preferred Kitchen and Bath and Lea Biermann.

Lea Bierman provided excellent guidance for me as I remodeled my kitchen and downstairs bath. Her patience as I went through the process was wonderful and her taste very exquisite. Lea from Preferred Kitchen & Bath was the designer for my complete kitchen remodel and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. During the design process, she listened to what I needed and provided thoughtful suggestions that were always spot on. I am very particular, and she did everything she could to achieve my vision within my budget. She is smart, kind and honest, and I quickly learned that I could trust her 100%. I was told that the project would take one month from start to finish, which my friends told me was impossible. Sure enough, it was completed in exactly one month! Lea has a great relationship with the contractors she works with, and they were very professional and courteous. I absolutely love my new kitchen and would highly recommend Lea to others who are dreaming of a new kitchen or bath.

After interviewing several contractors and design companies for our kitchen remodel and flooring, I choose to go with Preferred Kitchen & Bath. Lea Biermann was our kitchen designer. All of the reviews I read were excellent, so decided to meet with Lea. She was wonderful! She redesigned our kitchen bringing all of the elements we wanted to reality. Not only did she provide a beautiful design, at a reasonable price, she was always available to answer questions, assist with the smallest of details and all within the timeframe and budget they promised. In addition, all of their trades showed up on time, did excellent work, cleaned up perfectly and was respectful of our home. I highly recommend Preferred and Lea. We will be using them again when we are ready for our bathroom remodel.

In designing a kitchen remodel for me, Lea listened to what I wanted and made suggestions to improve upon my vision. Lea was mindful to stay within my budget. The contractors kept to the timeline and she scheduled some to be there on Saturdays so I could consult with them about the work. For my small space, Lea designed a great looking free- standing island, giving me the extra prep area that I needed. I'm very pleased with the end result. It's a beautiful kitchen with the cabinets and crown molding that go all the way to the ceiling and a marble backsplash.

We hired preferred Kitchen to do a complete kitchen remodel. Lea Biermann is the reason we went with Preferred. We were so incredibly happy with her design, her professionalism, her willingness to help with all aspects of our remodel. She is a highly talented designer who is innovative yet practical with her ideas. Nothing was too much trouble for her and to top if off she's a really lovely person. I would highly recommend her and Preferred and would use them again without any hesitation.

Lea is a wonderfully talented designer! I am so happy I worked with her. I have a small kitchen, but she was able to squeeze every square inch of usefulness out of it, with lazy susans, pull-outs, and other enhancements. She also has an amazing eye for color -- she was able to blend my kitchen colors and style beautifully and organically with the rest of my house. People have commented, "It looks like it always should have been this way all along!" At Lea's suggestion, we chose painted cabinets, rather than wood, because I had so much wood in the rest of the house. Her recommendation was remarkably astute! The base cabinets are "Sweet Pea" and the upper, "Rice Paper," a slightly greenish-cast white. The granite is "Secret Garden," and the backspash tiles are "Vintage Lace." Put together, it's stunning! The only drawback was my sticker shock -- I had never remodeled a kitchen before, and I went into it thinking my 10x12 space would surely NOT cost an arm and a leg, especially since I wasn't replacing the floor and I was keeping the diswasher and refrigerator. I was UNpleasantly surprised at the cost! Not sure how much of it was the design store's margin or whether I should have pushed for a better discount on the cabinets, which were very pricey. Still, aside from the tab, I am thrilled with everything about the kitchen! And I would choose Lea again, without hesitation!

I can’t say enough good things about Lea Biermann. I met Lea when I contracted Preferred Kitchen and Bath to completely remodel one bathroom and adjacent master bedroom as well as partial updates in two other bathrooms. The bathroom/bedroom design was all her vision and it turned out beautiful. With some limited remodeling the other two bathrooms now are up-to-date. The project was completed on time and within budget. I was so pleased with Lea’s design style I asked her to help me with updating my entire house. She helped with paint color selection, carpet and rugs, wallpaper, fabrics for recovering existing furniture pieces, lamps and accessories just to begin the list. Lea’s help and suggestions have been invaluable but more importantly she has her ideas but she also listens to my thoughts and respects that I have attachments to some pieces and helped me work them into the updated design. Lea is a wonderful designer and I would highly recommend her.

Just finished our kitchen remodel and its awesome! Lea worked with us and designed a kitchen based on pictures that I showed her from the website. I just love the craftsman style and all the drawers that organize all our our pots and pans. The whole process went as smoothly as possible considering we found a slab leak in week one! She had to adjust the schedule but we only lost 1 week while we took care of the leak. Lea was great in communicating with me; we texted or emailed each other so I never had a problem reaching her. All the guys who worked in the house made sure to clean up at the end of the day. I would highly recommend Lea and in fact plan on asking for her help in remodeling our bar and laundry room.
