La Casa Mexicana

Luz at La Casa Mexicana remodeled our entire house which is located in the Fairfields in the foothills of Tucson. This was a big project which included every room in the house - kitchen, master bath, guest bath, powder room, 3 bedrooms, and a study as well as all new trim and doors. Luz's whole team was wonderful and she did a fantastic job of coordinating it all. But the most impressive part was all of the custom pieces that she designed and her team made for us. The custom cabinetry in the kitchen and study are of excellent quality as is all of the millwork. They created some beautiful light fixtures for both our interior and exterior. Luz also designed a stunning shelving unit with lights for our front entry out of mesquite wood. We call our style "rustic industrial" which really suits the architecture and setting of our home. It also has some real modern touches. Of course La Casa Mexican does great "southwest" style too which is their stock and trade. But don't be fooled by the name - Luz loves to think outside the box to help you create something that is truly unique.

La Casa Mexicana remodeled oír kitchen and master bath and replaced all the doors and hardware in our home. They approached this project with a high level of integrity, creativity and enthusiasm. Their attention to detail and cleanliness created an atmosphere that eased the difficulty of having our home under construction for four months. I highly recommend Casa Mexicana! We used CM to remodel our kitchen including the refacing of cabinetry, tile countertops and a custom island. They were able to take our rough sketches and convert them into a stylish, "rustic modern" designs. What's more, the cost/value for money was right.

We love the work done by La Casa Mexicana. We ordered a bed, dresser, bathroom vanities, tv cabinet and wardrobe. The work was beautiful. The cost estimates were accurate. However, be prepared to be flexible about the expected completion date. As it is all constructed by hand, it was often completed a bit later than expected. It wasn't enough to keep us from ordering from them again and again.

Luz Marina is an inspired designer and with her mother and brothers' abilities to paint, tile and build they create unique rooms. I had kitchen and bathroom cupboards transformed from outdated oak to colorful antiqued cobalt for a new look with the appeal of a Mexican casa. Luz took care to ensure I was totally satisfied with the finished project. The shop in los barrio in Tucson features all the fabulous finds that Luz brings back from her buying trips in Mexico.

I have worked with Luz Marina since we built our custom home in 2008. She was thoughtful, honest and gave us a fabulous look to our home that reflected what we always dreamed of. Her estimates were accurate and I continue to work with her today. I recently had her do our old west themed theater room. It looks totally cool.
