プロフィール

Mine is but a small yet highly personal practice. We're based in Boulder, Colorado. About 50% of our work consists of residential remodels and additions, and 40% would be new homes.l I reserve a small bit of time, roughly 10%, for commercial projects. We work throughout Colorado, love working in the mountains, and we serve as Energy consultants to boot. I'm LEED accredited and one of the few Green Globes practitioners in Colorado.

Hard to say what my fees will be. New homes are more predictable, and we can work to a fixed fee based on floor area or cost of construction with a set scope and list of services to be provided. Remodels and additions are frequently far more complex, and far less predictable, and as such I prefer to work on an hourly basis with a darned good estimate of my fees being provided up front.

Our project started with a variety of issues including Boulder zoning restrictions, small lot size, parking restrictions, extreme neighborhood attention, historic considerations, etc and Kyle moved it forward with some very innovative ideas. His relationships with the City of Boulder, his experience with contractors, his attitude and persistence, made it a pleasure to work with him through all the details that can sometimes be overwhelming. Highly recommended!

I had an old ordinary small house with poor flow. Kyle transformed this house into an extraordinary home with a wonderful sense of drama and light. His vision, which focused on relocating a staircase, provided a beautiful open plan. Kyle was very cognizant of costs, schedules and the local regulatory environment. We worked well with me, especially when I asked for changes.

Kyle is a very talented architect. He has designed many custom homes for my clients ranging in style from ultra contemporary, to farmhouse to French Country. He's a great listener and doesn't push his agenda on the client, but instead listens to what the homeowner wants. You won't regret working with Kyle Callahan.
