I was recently hired to photograph a wonderful house in south London where Malek of Kromatic Interiors had laid out and designed the interiors. The house had a marvellously warm and welcoming glow throughout, yet was done with a fresh, modern style with many contemporary features and a bright, airy and spacious feeling. It was impeccably finished down to the smallest details and executed with great panache and yet respectful of the history, period and original features of the Victorian-era structure. However Malek was not afraid to re-order many of the internal spaces in order to better utilise the available space, so this involved significant structural changes. The end result was wonderful, and working with Malek on this shoot was great fun, stimulating, interesting and rewarding. I would highly recommend her to anyone; her joyful personality is infectious and her professionality, skill and talents as an interior designer are clear to see.

We used Kromatic Interiors to help with the interior design of our home. Malek was fantastic, she was happy to work with our existing objects and help us bring our ideas to life. The design process was a very collaborative affair, we felt very involved. She got to know us, listened to our requirements and understood our lifestyle and what we wanted to do with the space. Her extensive knowledge of suppliers allowed us to source some lovely items. I get enormous pleasure every single time I walk into our home, it is our own unique place - and that’s because of the great job she did. We hope to be able to work with her again one day !

Kromatic Interiors have been a pleasure to work with on our first project together. Any information required to deliver the curtains was always prompt and decisions clear. Malek took our advice well which ensured she had the desired product for her client. We talked about the choice of fabric for a few days in our workroom as we all thought it was a gorgeous fabric and worked well with the curtains and style chosen. I look forward to many more projects!
