We hired Ken and his team to do a major renovation on our 1940s bungalow, converting approx. 600sf of former porch and unfinished garage space into a pantry, master suite, and rear entryway/mud room. While we had a few minor challenges (scheduling/timeline issues, occasional miscommunication), the overall product turned out exactly as we envisioned and we are extremely pleased with the final result. Throughout the project, Ken was a sincere, honest, and true-to-his-word GC to work with, and that really won the day for us. The subs did good work and Ken’s crew was always respectful and accommodating. For a long project, they were all great folks to have working on our property for an extended period of time. Ken’s pricing was competitive and for the quality outcome, we think we got a great value in working with him.

Kitchen remodel (full gut) We chose Ken again because our first project (garage addition) went swimmingly. Our second project with Ken was our new kitchen. He drew up the designs and worked with us to get it just the way we wanted, updating his cost estimates along the way so we could budget accordingly. We could not even imagine doing a project like this without Ken as our general contractor! He organized all the permits, schedule, budget, and purchases; he also brought his hard-working, trustworthy crew (shout out to Jorge, Jorge, and Chuck) and coordinated the craftsmanship of qualified, courteous subcontractors (kudos to the masons, electricians, carpenters, tilers, and plumbers). Details of the job: create new kitchen window opening and install; new floors, Shaker RTI cabinets, granite countertops, lighting (including under cabinet), paint; and associated plumbing/electrical upgrades. Ken's quote was not the cheapest (nor the most expensive, by far), but it was the most fair and best-aligned to our vision. He also laid out a fair payment schedule that allowed us to see that the work-in-progress aligned to monies owed. Even amidst COVID-19 challenges (quarantine then social distancing along with difficulty getting shipments and making inspector appointments), the project finished on budget. We highly recommend KR Fritz LLC!

Two-car garage addition (replaced carport) From among many contractors, we chose Ken because he took the time to walk through the details with us and offer his guidance. Ken and his team did a great job on our kitchen remodel. This work was done while we were back at our main home in Ohio. We felt very comfortable with Ken's team in our home while we were away. Ken's price was the highest of the three estimates we received, but he definitely had the best vision for what our space could be. Our home was built in the 1930's, and the kitchen was closed off and not very functional. He opened up the space, moved a doorway to make more room for cabinetry, and made our kitchen both functional and beautiful. We had some issues with the tile work, but it was addressed and fixed to our satisfaction with no pushback. We would use Ken and his team again.

On budget on time, just as his logo says! We had a kitchen/master bath gut and rebuild and a wall was pushed out to add a walk in closet in the master bath. The new bathroom and kitchen are beyond our expectations .. so beautiful! Ken is easy to reach and responds quickly to any questions/ concerns and full of useful advice. His core team is wonderful, hard working , respectful and friendly Highly recommend!!

Ken Fritz and his team did a great job. Ken took care of the drawings, permits and making sure our inspections were done on timely manner. His team did a tremendous job at the end of the day keeping the mess to a minimum. But anytime you have the construction we had, there is a mess. They took their time to prep and keep the rest of the house as clean as possible. Always taking time at the end of the day to clean up. Their eye to detail and making sure everything fit as planned was unbelievable. They were not in hurry to finish us up to rush to another job. Ken did a fantastic job lining up the other subs and stayed on site to make sure all were on the same page. He even gave us some great suggestions on ideas when it came to style of cabinets and counter tops. My wife and I could not be any happier and we are sure you will be too when you use Ken Fritz.

The contractor stayed on top of the project from start to finish. He very consistently contacted us to tell us who would be at the project each day, so that we were never left to wonder what would happen on any given day. The subcontractors were always on time, very professional and careful to keep the work area and surroundings neat and clean. The job was perfectly aligned with the projected pricing, and a couple of project add-ons were handled with no issues. We were very pleased with the finished project and are planning to use the contractor for another home remodel project very soon.

We just had KR Fritz install a bathroom shower and remodel the rest of the bathroom in the master bedroom. It turned out so awesome and looks beautiful. It's a small master bathroom, but Ken utilized every bit of space to give us plenty of storage with a great design. His company was a little below budget which was great and finished on time. His employees were very professional, on time for work and worked the full day. Ken personally stopped by each day to supervise and make sure things were going smoothly. I can't say enough about Ken Fritz and his company. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and our master bathroom looks gorgeous!

We had Ken redo our condo. He and his team redid all the floors, painted the entire unit, and completely redid two of our bathrooms. They did a fantastic job. His guys were timely, clean, courteous, etc. The attention to detail was excellent. The bathrooms came out great and Ken really helped us with the design and had a couple of great ideas along the way. We will be redoing another bathroom and our kitchen and wouldn't use another contractor. Highly recommended.

What a great experience having Ken and his team renovate our kitchen! We interviewed several contractors but Ken was the only one who said he'd be checking in on the job every day - and he did. His guys were professional, clean, on time and excellent craftsmen. Neighbors commented on their cleanliness and good manners. He helped us design the kitchen from beginning to end and included features we hadn't thought of (under counter lighting!, built in fridge, etc). The cabinets were very high quality. We were impressed with the cabinet installer, the electrician, the plasterer, in fact all his subs were excellent. His motto is On Budget and On Time and he was! Highly recommend!!

We met with Ken in November and December 2017 regarding a significant project we would be doing at our home. One so large it requires us to move out of the home. One of the things that was most important to me was to be able to count on promises are made. I emphasized I would prefer he under promise and over deliver, not the other way around. When we met with Ken in December, he said he would be able to start the work in January, after the holiday. Two weeks later we met with him again to sign the contract and then we were told he couldn’t start until March because he had taken on some other jobs in that two-week period. The change in the timing did not please us but we felt like Ken was going to be the best man for the job and the wait would be worth it. (Mistake). He started work in March and with only three weeks into the job, he stop showing up. Two weeks of no activity on the project we finally heard from him and he was abandoning the job. Even though we had a contract, he was not going to fulfill his obligations. You can’t imagine the stress this is put on us because we had moved out of the house for the project to be completed. Now we had to find a new contractor and wait several more months for the schedule to be available for the new contractor. We never received an apology or explanation . I would never recommend a man who cannot keep his word and has no regard for the consequences to others due to his irresponsibility.

I would like to thank KF Fritz Design LLC for an excellent job they did on my bathroom remodel. It was easy to decide what I wanted, but KF Designs had the skills and knowledge to make it happen. All the tradesmen, that worked on this project were professional and cleaned up each day. I appreciated how well they listen to what my vision was for the bathroom. Ken's experience provided professional advice that pushed the project to the next level.

Designed, demolished, remodeled and finished downstairs bathroom / hallway / laundry area / kitchen with a high level of skill, coordination and expertise that was much appreciated. Total cost about $51k.

Ken did a large master bath redo for us. I interviewed many before deciding on KR Fritz and was very happy with my decision. He was obviously very experienced, providing us with suggestions, plans and drawings right from the start. His input was invaluable. Ken's workman were courteous and professional and left the worksite clean every evening. The job was continuous without interruption and the crew was on the job, on time for the most part, daily. If for any reason someone was going to be late, I always received a phone call. The job is beautiful and was completed just as the estimate read.
