Over the last two decades, we were pleased with Kraft made cabinets in two of our previous custom built homes. So we chose them in 2023 for another new home we are building in Virginia, and we were SHOCKED and disappointed to say the least at the degradation in quality even though prices were much higher. Cabinets arrived damaged because the drawer hardware screws and back panels were so flimsy. $900 worth of expensive cove molding for the cabinet tops was unusable due to warping of the wood and mismatched stain. And the stain was uneven on the cabinet fronts. Touch up sticks were missing. The company refuse to honor any of our complaints, and don't expect the retailer to help you.

I bought a house with KraftMaid kitchen cabinets. The quality is mediocre at best. The term "semi-custom" is an oxymoron. These are stock cabinets on the inside with stained wood doors on the exterior. These are the same quality as other stock cabinets but are dressed up and marketed to be something that they are not. Some of the drawers are even cheaply screwed together like other stock cabinetry. The phony aspect of that irks me. Just be upfront about what you are selling. Using the word "custom" gives one the impression that they are higher quality, but in reality they are made in a factory, not a woodshop that custom cabinets are made in. Custom cabinets might not be in one's budget, and I acknowledge that. But I feel that these cabinets are way overpriced for the quality of materials and workmanship provided.

I have had Kraftmaid cabinets for 4 years. They are durable and beautiful. I couldn't be more happy with the construction and finish. They have so many accessories.

These cabinets are junk. Several doors and the lazy susan have cracks and blemishes. The slightest bump causes a knick and scratch. I’m SO disappointed. JUNK.

We are very disapointed in the quality and quality control of our new kraftmaid cabinets. The faces are nice solid wood and look good. However the quality stops there. The rest of the cabinet is made of osb and if you just brush against the ends, tha laminate will start to peel off. The draws are dovetailed but there seems to be no glue. The dovetails are not flush with the rest of the draw. Some dovetails are not even nicely cut. Draw slide supports are broken off the back of the cabinets. Some draw slides have bent rear draw anchors. The sides of pull-out pantry shelving are stapled in place with no glue. The overall design seems nice but the materials and construction are not good. There are so many corners cut and QC seems nonexistent.. We have wanted a new kitchen sice we moved into this house sixteen years ago. This was too be our kitchen to retire too. I am not confident in the longevity of these cabinets. Bummer.

Quality control is lacking and we have had a frustrating experience aligning doors. The worst are the two lower drawers in our island. The drawer face appears to have been haphazardly screwed on at the factory. Dissapointing at any price point, but would not recommend buying KraftMaid.

I have KraftMade cabinets for a while now. The thermofoil is peeling off from some doors and drawers. Don’t be fooled by their “lifetime warranty “. It doesn’t cover anything. Really bad quality cabinets and they don’t care about their customers.

this company has the worst quality control department. We have been working on a kitchen since March, and are now reordering for the fourth time, because the paint does not match when they shipped the last re-order. This company is a nightmare, it takes 6-7 weeks for them to re-ship items, and then they are not painted correctly. Go find a local manufacturer or some Amish people to get your kitchen cabinets made. NEVER NEVER NEVER WILL USE THEM AGAIN (placed order through Lowes).

I have rarely in my life written a bad review but I'm so diappointed in HD and these cabinets. We bought what I thought would be high end acrylic cabinets from a northern Michigan HD (who gave bad service themselves) the cabinets came with "inspected by" stickers which meant nothing because have of the acrylic had peeled from the drawer fronts. After multiple attempts they finally sent me new drawer fronts and I had to replace them myself. The fit and finish is terrible. Drawers dont line up, gaps are uneven. Do yourself a favor and avoid these.

I had KraftMaid cabinets installed two years ago. The surface is peeling off. I was told this is not covered under their “lifetime” warranty. These are poor quality cabinets for the money I paid.

As a real estate professional with vast experience in remodels, I knew Kraft Maid was the standard for quality cabinets. Unfortunately, that's apparently a thing of the past. Save your money, sanity and remodeling dreams. Look elsewhere. We spent quite some time and $$ designing a new kitchen. Needless to say, it was a splurge and dream... until the cabinets arrived. We're going on a year since they were delivered and 3 shipments of new cabinet fronts without true resolution. They've arrived with dings, missing paint and missing wood, gaps and more defects. Many look secondhand and not like the $20,000+ we paid for the space. I've never written a bad review on anything previously, but this warrants it. Striving to save anyone I can from this year-long NIGHTMARE. AWFUL!!
