We bought a house that was a 1963 time capsule. The overall style was unique but it was in desperate need of modernization. A friend mentioned that she knew a lady who did design work but didn’t know if she was any good. As we didn’t know any other designers, we gave it a shot and called this lady…and that started us down the wonderful road of working with Kelly Moir. From the moment we met Kelly, we immediately connected with her. She was stylish, energetic and genuine, and when she threw some zingers sarcastically at my husband, we knew she was the perfect fit. Kelly went on to entirely redesign our house inside and out. She understood our vision and our lifestyle, and didn’t push a design on us that we weren't in line with. She was always cognizant of our budget and knew how to maximize quality and style while not breaking our bank (which we did just fine on our own). It was through Kelly, that we met our builder Rob Lindorff, our cabinetry company Hobson Woodworks, our countertop company Abstract Stone and the magical world of Design District. All of these referrals turned out to be gold. Kelly never steered us wrong. She knows her construction community well and is highly respected in it. It was such a treat having Kelly on board. Her eye for design, creativity, knowledge and enthusiasm made our renovation journey so much easier. Without hesitation, we would work with Kelly again…although that could be a long ways off as our house is so perfect now, we have no reason to ever change it or leave it!

Kelly is a fabulous designer and we've loved growing our working relationship together over the years. Her projects are unique and stunning, we look forward to working together more in the future!

KM Interior Designs was recommended by both the cabinet designer/maker and general contractor for our project which renovated the kitchen, dining room and stair well. The project ran from end of January to mid May 2016 and was completed on time and close to cost we anticipated. We initiated work with Kelly in November 2015 and Kelly worked with us and the contractors to develop the kitchen plan and choose materials. She enabled us to implement our ideas effectively and had excellent suggestions to enhance the plan throughout the project. Kelly appreciated our preferences and worked to achieve them, coordinating choices with all contractors on site. She was professional, supportive and knowledgable with established working relationships that eased the project process. We would highly and happily recommend Kelly for any interior design work. --

My husband and I are doing a DIY, down-to-studs renovation of a 1911 house on a pauper's budget. I hired Kelly for a consultation to help me with kitchen layout and style direction for finishes throughout the house. Wow! I never imagined I could get so much out of two hours. Kelly validated, encouraged and guided me with an expert eye and a great sense of humour. Never once did she make me feel as though I wasn't worth her time because I don't have a big budget. She left me feeling excited, engaged, and very sure of my direction. I will definitely call on her expertise again.

Kelly was fabulous to work with, and very professional. Not only did she have great style and ideas but she was great at incorporating everything we wanted. She expertly managed to mingle and execute both our concepts with hers in some very creative and beautiful designs. We would have no hesitation in using her again on future projects (and I'm sure we will) and would also heartily recommend her to anyone looking for a superb interior designer.

Kelly did a consultation on our bathroom update. She helped us choose colours, accents, and items to accessorize the space. Kelly is incredibly professional and she assisted quickly and helped keep our overall budget very low. I would strongly recommend Kelly to anyone looking to take on a remodel of any size or complexity.

When we started working with Kelly (over a year ago) we knew right away she was the right designer for us. She was so open to our ideas and was never pushy or made us feel pressured in any way. It was a pleasure working with Kelly. She was always available when needed. We found her to be honest with no surprises on the quotes she gave us. She was a great help in pointing us in the right direction for paint choices and kitchen renovation. We are extremely happy with the end results.

Kelly worked with us to revamp my optometry office. The main focus of the project was to recreate the space with some modern elements to it but yet keep the atmosphere warm and professional. We were working within a certain budget and an extremely tight timeline all of which were met. Kelly's service, knowledge and ideas were exceptional. One of the most important things to me was the fact that Kelly was easy to get a hold of at any time, whether it be through text, email or phone - she was on it for every question I had. Kelly is outstanding and I would highly recommend her expertise and skills to absolutely everyone!

Kelly is both highly artistic and talented at applying logic to design a conceptual space. She provided the proper design for a space I had been struggling with even though I had pieces I loved, but they were not all right for the space. Her floor plan improved the flow, made the space better, reduced large pieces but doubled the seating in the room. It was something I would not have been able to do on my own. I was even able to keep some favorite pieces, and slowly move towards her design in stages. She sourced furniture based on my taste and gave me options to customize it to my taste. In the end, I have a room that has great energy, function and a little bit of Kelly's sophisticated modern taste. I love it! Kelly is professional, kind, capable, detail orientated, creative and was willing to work with my desires. I would highly recommend her and plan to use her for future large projects.

I hired Kelly through the HOUZZ website. She contacted me promptly and when we met, there was no doubt in my mind that she would do the project(s) the way I wanted them to be. Kelly has embraced my ideas and is using her expertise as a designer to make it perfect. The end result(s) will be stunning! However.......once left with a deficient and incompetent contractor, I never saw or heard from her again. Picked up her last cheque and was gone. Still working on the last bathroom with a new contractor. It will almost be a year since I contacted her and started the process. Not impressed as she had me order everything, and subsequently pay 50% or even 100% on some items first before starting to look for a contractor.. Bath products have been at Splashes now since July 2014. Orders were placed in May and June 2014. My advice, Seek contractor at the same time as the designer as the designer did not have full knowledge of fire walls, plumbing rules, or ordering enough tile!

We hired Kelly to help us with the direction we were going with our new kitchen as to layout and finishes. She identified an unused space in our design and provided us with a detailed sketch of a built-in hutch to perfectly complete our kitchen. She also pointed out some practical uses of our design that we hadn't considered, and helped us make confident choices in our finishes through various sample groupings that she assembled. Kelly is very professional and personable and we highly recommend her.
